i was seeing a rom for the Motorola Defy called higgsy ROM go to (theunlockrcom/2011/02/19/higgsy-rom/) and i was wondering if there would be a way to get that lockscreen onto an Evo 4G, it is rooted overclocked and i know a thing or two about flashing ROMs or updates. That's an aosp lockscreen. I believe they have those all over in themes and apps

AOSP = Android Open Source Project; basically orignial stock android look. I.E Cyangonmod rom [for example.]
Easiest way to get one, is to install an aosp rom [again cyanogen for example.] and it comes with it; there's also have some mods, such as rotart and lense [lense is a drag down bar].
Roms can be found in the development section.
Or if you want a sense rom, check with the developer, they may have a mod for it.

It is the stock Android lockscreen (assuming you ar talking about the horizontal sliders). The easiest way to get it if you're on a sense ROM is to use Titanium Backup to delete htclockscreen.apk. Do that, and then reboot and you'll have the stock AOSP lockscreen. Be sure to back it up before you delete it though, just in case you want it back.

search the evo theme section for "aosp lockscreen" there is a flashable zip in there.
Actually, nice try but still a bit off. The lockscreen you're seeing on there is an app call widgetlocker. You can get it from the market. It allows for multiple sliders and also widgets to be placed on the lockscreen as that clearly shows (i.e. the weather forecast...AOSP does not have any weather option as of now).

You need to buy widget locker from the market, or google the widget locker apk.

Walking into a death trap...I like Cm7 with wimax.
Other popular roms include, but not limited to:
Sense:
mikfroyo, fresh, myn's warm twopointtwo, azrael
AOSP:
CM7, evervolv, salvage, miui
As for kernels, I use .9 BFS/CFS havs with wimax, savaged zen

Is it possible to modify the unlock screen for our phones so that it doesn't use the Sense one? I'd really prefer having the stock Android unlock screen one over this.

No, actually, that's not what he wants at all. I'd also love to use the standard Android unlock screen on my Incredible. I'm rooted, I shouldn't have to buy an app to do this.

Ok to clarify. We want to have to stock 2.1 lock screen (slide to unlock) instead of having the Sense Unlock (pull down unlock) WITHOUT any app.
The stock ROMS that are out have them... we want that just standard, not just on the ROM. Clear?!
Another cool thing about the stock 2.1 unlock is the ability to go into silent mode from the lock screen without unlocking the phone first and doing it through another means. It saves time and is convenient. I'd love the stock lock just for that reason.

So I removed the HtcLockScreen.apk from /system/apps and this is what I got. Also happens for Hero users, but there is a patch out there for it, but none of the patches work for the Droid Inc? Any ides ppl?

just tried to adb push the android.policy.jar from yeti's nexus theme, that didn't work either... got that idea from the guy saying he modded the android.policy.jar from the post above...

I'm pretty curious about this as well if anyone can figure it out that'd be great. I've tried software (app) unlockers in the past and they are horrid.
This really can't be done with the stock ROM as it is. The entire ROM has to be deodexed and then the android.policy.jar can be replaced.

when it is locked can you bypass it by hitting the home button? that is the only issue I have with lockscreens from the market.
Well this has been tried on a different handset...trying to push a random .jar file will never work. Far more porting involved. Its built into the sense even though in the frameworks there's . Pngs for the stock lock screen.

I tried to push the framework folder from PMF Rom because it is deodexed but that was a fail too.. I have a couple ideas of what to do but I have to wait to get off work... will post later what ive tried..

Nope because the ROM you are putting the .jar file onto has to be entirely deodexed, including the /system/app folder.

wow... I just realized who I was talking to.. haha.. isn't your ROM deodexed? Can't I just push your /system/app folder and system/framework and that should work right?
Basically, i cooked a theme and it worked like a charm. Now i want my Sense UI to look like AuraxTSense ROM where the Sense is transparent and cool stuff. BUT i don`t want to lose my UOT stuff like the status bar icons and the drag down list and the other stuff.
So, is it possible to:
1-Have the AuraxTSense transparent Sense
AND
2-UOT style (that i already have)

yes..... you can have a theme and customize it with UOT
But you cant use a cooked framework that you already had before putting the transparent theme on, it will just revert back to before when you flashed the theme.
You need to flash the theme then get and use your new fremework.apk to pick and choose what you want in UOT, cook it then flash the framework.

and i don`t feel like changing LeeDrOiD anytime soon (unless he does )
but thanks i could use the Glass theme until someone kind enough (and enough free time ) to port it for me.
These themes are a repost from my thread over at Modaco. They are only confirmed working on the Alpha 3 and 4 Froyo rom by Paul. Alpha 3 is downloadable as a free prebake. They are ported by me but not owned by me i borrowed all resources.

First thank you for the themes you did create. I just downloaded and installed the gingerbread theme... and there seems to be an issue. I went back to my nadnroid to check again... and it's true.. at least for me.
After flashing your theme the networklocation works... everything is shown correct, the framework is changed.. everything is fine except the cpu usage.. After flashing over the theme I have a constant cpu usage over 70 % (screen on but nothing started.. only native android apps running... regarding to autokiller and the zte task manager..without the theme the usage is between 33 and 54 %
IS this a bug or is there any known solution?

the lockscreen of sense 2.1 is available only for sense roms..

What version of Android Revolution HD are you using?
Try flashing the ROM over the top of your current installation, no wipe
I had leedroids rom but then installed revolution 1.5.7 (no sense). I did a full wipe when installing this latest rom.
I'm unsure what you are telling me to do? Are you telling me to flash the sense version over it?

i think that you are not talking about the same thing....
i hope that if u want the sense lockscreen u need to flash ARHD with sense buddy...
Basically I want the lockscreen in the picture I posted. Don't need anything else I just want the grey arch shaped thing that you drag down to unlock the phone.
the only thing that i can tell you is that its available the sense 3.0 lockscreen for pure framework gingerbread roms...(see the pic)
i don´t know if there is any more sense lockscreen for flash appart like you are browsing... (you want sense 2.1)
maybe someone know of the existence of the lockscreen 2.1....
if u no obtains response u can browse for it into apps and themes section

Thanks for great rom !!. Using this for an hour and it is pretty good...the animations some times becomes too fast and the whole homescreen rotating animation doesn't work while unlocking the screen neither while swiping screens.

Actually while in the Recovery section zip file name showing as "HTC_G13 by idogx" same as its pico/explorer port only nothing changed only one change as above for Second screenshot "all application and call icon changed on home screen" now back to Simple Sense 3.5 by benjamingwynn

Reason this ROM is same from "idogx-HTC G13 ROM", so only features of htc explorer with sense 3.5 basic

to dev, its better to just omit the "Menu" text on the menu button and "phone" on the phone button of the homescreen and just leave it as icons.
