I don't want my battery symbol to change or if it did it would have to only show the percentage of power on it. :s
all the mods I can find in that forum change the battery icon thing.

Download Widgetsoid from the market.
It has more options than you could probably dream of, and if you look carefully through the options when you create a new widget, you will see that you can choose to have the widget in the notification bar in addition of having it on your home, or to have the widget in the notification bar only

Looks cool. Wonder what the battery drain is like compared to the others.

I use Quick Settings from the market. It does everything I need and more. It stays in the notification bar, I click it, and get acess to all I need. I also use battery minder to show 1% step battery icon in the top bar. It shows up in the notification bar too.

I use only the switcher types, and I don't notice any battery drain
Indicator types (such as battery indicator) could expectedly drain some battery though, but I don't use them.
Here is what it looks like on my phone:

1st widget: Wifi on/off -- Bluetooth on/off -- GPS on/off -- Set brightness (with cutomizable levels)
2nd widget: Set ring mode -- Volume levels -- Mount/unmount sd -- Reboot (with the option to have a pop-up menu with turn off / normal reboot / hot reboot / recovery / bootloader)
You can decide how many switches you want on each widget, and there are MANY more available
And for each widget, you can decide if you want it on your home, or in your notification bar, or both

Temperature monitering app? What do you all like/use

Hay every one
Just like the title says
Don't tell me to search. I know how to and I wanted to hear what you guys like for the battery, CPU and any other sensors
Thanks
Quick System Info Pro.
Has incorporated a lot of features including ones from Spare parts. I no longer need three different monitoring apps to do what this one now does.
It's the free version.
TempMonitor. Put's the temp up in the toolbar for battery temp. Mini info for the rest. Don't feel like buying it though.

Android system info has a widget for batter and memory, but I use Battery Life from Curvefish. Batt status, temp, volts. Good widget.
camarojones Thanks I like that app.

that's the program i use too. especially for the task killer. along with batteryminder. which is quite possibly my favorite battery percentage and temp program for the notifications and the status bar icon it has. dont care much for quick system info's status bar notifications so i use batteryminder instead.
"weather & toggle widgets" with h7c skin for clock and weather.
Looks exactly like the Sense clock.
battery life by curvefish is the bomb!
Battery minder is cool. But i am totally loving Battery life
Thanks guys this is my first android phone and I just keep finding more cool **** seems like every day, but at the same time it's ez to get lost in all the apps.
I use batterytime. Battery percent, temperature, voltage in pull down notification drawer. Also a widget for the battery.

Quick brightness control

I came from the Epic 4G, and really, really miss this quick brightness control by holding and sliding along the status bar, a Samsung customization (I believe).
There are a lot of solutions out there, tried a few, and decided I really liked this one in the market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.curvefish.widgets.brightnesslevel
If you're a manual brightness dude like me (auto drives me nuts), give this a whirl. I put it down in the dock no GO Launcher, and I think I actually like it better than the Sammy feature on the Epic -- in addition to full control with a slider, there are some canned levels @ 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% that you can set with a button press (see screenshot). Most of the time, 0, 25, and 75 are good settings for me in different conditions.
Sure beats going through the settings menu tree!

Sammy had it the best. I'm dying without that slide on the notification bar. It's so much easier when you don't have to jump to the home screen or settings.

Agree completely. Hopefully a dev will implement a similar mod for the GN (not port and steal it from Sammy, unless it is in the public domain under the GNU license, in which case, port it over!!!)
In the meantime, the widget I found, which is free, comes about as close as you can get.
How about this?
The blue line underneath where it says brightness means that auto brightness is enabled, when it isn't the line to the right of it turns blue instead
Ive used a curvefish brightness control app on my DInc for a while. and Works great on my GNex
I use quick settings app.

Suggest you try 'OneClick Widget' by Wedroid. You can just tap the widget to go through 5 levels of brightness. Works like a charm. The pack includes widgets for other functions like airplane mode, wifi on/off etc. Widgets are customisable for colour and size. Works a treat.

[Q] Remove bar, dock, icons and all?

Ok first view my screenshot at the bottom of this post.
My current setup:
LauncherPRO, status bar toggled hidden, black background, and custom dock icon images, black (so they appear hidden)
What I want:
Ideally, I want NO dock icons.
I use google gesture search for everything. There is an extra app that makes google gesture pop up when I long-press the search button, so i'd like to remove that icon as well.
Please help with any ideas!
Also I am liking the idea of invisible widgets.
I want to have secret ones, where I scroll left-side to open x app, or pinch and zoom one area of the screen to toggle wifi, etc.

Bump.
Essentially I want no homescreen.
Using the search button long-press shortcut to gesture search is all I need.
I might throw a hidden lock on there as well.
I want it to appear that my device is powered down to the average user.

I use Go launcher and Swipe pad. Nothing else on my homescreen. Toggling statusbar (swipe up or down) and no icons in my on my taskbar. I double tap to get to my app drawer. I use swipe pad for quick access to what I use most. I like it no one can figure out my phone.

[Solved] [Q] how to remove the "%" from the battery percentage in the the status bar

[Solved] [Q] how to remove the "%" from the battery percentage in the the status bar
I've been trying to figure out how to remove the "%" from the battery percentage in the the status bar on TW 4.3. Ive looked through the SystemUI res/values/strings trying to find out how but haven't figured it out. Does anyone know if this is the right place to look or how I should go about it? The screenshot shows both the percentage and the battery icon from Dandroid. The idea I have is to change the icon so its just the bar and the end user can turn the percentage on or off in the settings.

Anyone?
For stock u go to settings, my device, display, and theres a box to check if u want the % display. Uncheck it if its unavailable

I don't think that is what he is asking. I think he wants to remove the actual % symbol. I have never looked for that before but now I'm curious as well.
Metalfan78 is right. What I'm interested in doing is remove the number from the cm battery icon so its just the bar. Then turn on the battery percentage in settings but without the "%" symbol so in the end it still looks like the cm battery icon. Later on I'd like to create the option in settings to hide the battery icon as well.
I'd like to have the icon optional too. Right now I just remove the battery xml's in SystemUI/drawable.
Well I like having it there for me. My eventual goal is to make it optional. Just like the percentage.
That would be a nice mod. Rompnit's battery mod is nice, too many options for me though, lol.

A BIG thank you to @rompnit for helping me figure this out! In the SystemUI.apk go to res/values/strings and find
Code:
<string name="status_bar_settings_battery_meter_format">%d%%</string>
Remove the two "%" symbols near the end so that the code looks like the following
Code:
<string name="status_bar_settings_battery_meter_format">%d</string>
Recompile and that should do it. :highfive:
That's sweet!

Great module by the way. I have a little question/feature request if it is possible to change the icons to AOSP icons?

Anyone else having the WiFi icon move ever so slightly when the activity indicator kicks in? No big deal as it's a fantastic module, just what I've been hoping for.
It happens to me too. It would be good if this was fixed, it's a bit annoying.
Another aspect that could be improved would be hiding the module in the app drawer (being able to change options through xposed, of course). But in all, a fantastic module, and one that I had been waiting for.
PS: There is also a typo in the options window, as you can see in your screenshot: "avtivty" instead of activity.
Great module!
Why don't you create an icon to replace the green Android?
(e.g. something that can remind us of our Moto G or the Motorola logo)
Yes i will add icon soon.
Hi, on XT1032 the WiFi icon moves a little when the activity indicator is on. Additionally, the mobile data is showing when is turned off. I think this shouldn't happen, because of the second option in the module.
btw, great app. Just the thing I was looking for!
None of these shows on my phone when using LP icons provided by GravitiBox. Is that correct?
