Gingerbread keyboard - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any one know where to get a modified gingerbread keyboard with bigger keys? I changed my DPI to 200 and it made the keyboard keys so small my fat fingers can't time well anymore....

[Q]bring keyboard hide/showup animation to stock rom.

I'm a fan of smooth animation but not likely to switch to MIUI or cyanogenmod because of my existing dataand apps.
I successfully get app/drawer opening and closing animation by using launcher pro(although I still miss my good old HTC sense widgets).
Since then I've tired messing up with framework-res.apk but changed nothing except battery icons.
Now my question is: whether there is a way to get keyboard animation without flashing a new rom?
Or in advance, get opening and closing animation with it all together?

I tried this a few weeks ago with no luck. If you look in the framework-res.apk under res, and then anim, this is where all animations are stored.
What i did was look for a Galaxy S framework-res.apk since it has all the fancy animations, copied it's anim folder into my DHD's framework-res.apk, replacing the old one. But the keyboard animation still didnt change. However, it did change the opening and closing animations that Sense uses. With sense it just open or closes abruptly, but now it zooms in and out.
Hopefully someone else could get them working.
Yes, that's what I have found so far.
Icons on the status bar also worked as supposed, but animation of keyboard not so lucky...
Desire HD is using Sense UI 2.0 which have small tweaks allowed HTC to provide sets of UI more easily, but not so dev friendly because Sense is not open source...

Maybe have a look at this? Don't know if it works with sense roms.
I looked at my own apk and the one over in that thread, but there isnt much differnce in the lines he mentioned.....
My experience in this kind of things is zero, so cannot help further....
I read the post few weeks ago but just as I mentioned, some GUI is now related with sense and closed source systems like ios and HTC sense are nightmares of devs.
Supreme. Maybe try ripping the galaxy s keyboard from a deodexed rom, maybe there is some nessesary code in the galaxy s keyboard itself needed before the animation works ......

That's definitely not related, all the keyboards I'm using now, including google input and touchpal get in/out animation on an MIUI rom so keyboard app itself is not related. There should be an XML to control all of these and the only question is where hTC hide it... maybe somewhere in sense...

Flashable keyboards for cm7 r1

I'm looking for a flashable keyboard for cm7 r1.... preferably gb but not nessesary. I run kings unleashed rom occasionaly (not a fan of kings2) and he has the best colored keyboard for me. It was a blue keyboard (2.2) and light up blue when you hit the keys. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be cool!
Thanks in advance,
Dave
Search the themes sections tons of them.
*le sigh*
Get some themes. The Honeybread theme themes the keyboard. Just b-slap your favorite theme's dev to theme the GB keyboard and/or Swype.

[Q] Keyboard with spacer

In CM6 there was an app called IME keyboard taken from the original sence rom.
It was really nice because of all the custumization options like custom smile, url and spacer between letters.
any1 knows such a app for cm7
The default keyboard?

Quick Question on App List CM7

Hello,
I recently rooted my Wildfire and flashed the CM7.03 ROM (the Gingerbread 2.3.3 one).
The background of the App List is transparrent, is there anyway to make it black or is this a feature of Gingerbread 2.3.3?
Also, does anyone know of any nice (LDPI) themes for CM7 that suit the Wildfire?
Thanks!
Chris
EDIT: Sorry guys, I solved it by using Launcher Pro instead.
Regarding themes you can also use mdpi ones. Actually they will be made supporting ldpi and mdpi as well AFAIK.
but when applying a theme you may get a warning like "theme is missing asserts . apply anyway or not". You can select apply anyway here. You won't see any huge differences on doing that.

The solution for your App Drawer issue is to Press Menu Key > ADW Settings > Drawer Settings > Background Colour. Select Black (##000000), and make Alpha Zero. (Just stating, even though you solved it)
As for themes, there are many that suit the Wildfire. MDPI Themes look equally, and, some HDPI Themes work fine as well,. A complete list can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056292
Personal favorites for me at the moment include:
- XperiaArc (Buttons are broken though, sadly)
- NTSense
- Wizmod
- Honeycomb (haxzamatic)
- Steel Blue
EDIT: Ninja'ed. Oh well
