So I flashed the CM6.1.1 stable ROM today. It's on and running. I installed the google apps and everything was fine until, when I downloaded and tried installing apps from Android Market, most of them werent working. But they did work on the official htc froyo 2.2 system I had earlier.
I'm using HTC Desire with Sense.
Any solution to this?

Everything works fine for me. Gonna try a Sense-less ROM next and see how that feels (my first Android phone).
Have you got Flashlight widget installed if so unistall there seems to be a problem with that so the camera doesen't work...hope i could help lg

Hi I have rooted my phone and currently running DeFroST 2.7 Rom Android version 2.2, (did this back in early august) I basically would like to know what the current latest update for my HTC Desire is. Is there a newer DeFroST update out there or do i know update to Froyo 2.2? Also would like a pointer in direction of where to download the latest update from.

When i first tried a new sense rom on my desire, the htcsense.com worked fine. I later uninstalled that due to it not being stable enough to use as a everyday rom. I've just installed the Cool Z V1 stable release (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=899943) and I went on the htcsense.com and it doesn't seem to be working properly. I get this http://i.imgur.com/vyhKl.png when i should get this http://i.imgur.com/a0XEH.jpg (image from a friend with a desire hd) . The lock phone and ring phone things both work, they're the only ones I've tried. Is this just me or does it happen to all desires with new sense roms? Does anyone know of any resolution for this?

ive recently installed cm7 nightly along with the last version of gapps. the problem is everything works except the market. it doesnt let me download any app and wont load the "My Apps" page. please help soon, its very frustrating knowing i have apps that need to be updated!

I had some trouble with GMail not synching properly anymore (it was only showing mails a couple of days old, but newer the newest ones) and since delete cache/data of the app did not work I removed it.
Bad idea, since I had to discover GMail is not available on the market for DHD/Gingerbread.
I found an apk on my HDD but it seems to be older than what I had before. Does anyone know what GMail version is the latest for Gingerbread?
I also tried extracting it from Virtuous Affinity zip-file, but couldn't find the apk. Is it hidden in some strangely named apk?
How about you just upgrade your phone a little to get a proper app.

Is there a smooth and 100% working ICS + Sense ROM for the DHD? Virtuous is still beta and though it's fast it's not as smooth as Gingerbread (from what I read). The same applies for most other ROMs posted here. Some parts not working, minor performance issues and so on.
So I don't feel like updating just because GMail isn't available from the market.
edit: If anyone ever needs it, I think 2.3.6 is the latest version for GB: Download
Try downloading any stock ROM, and see if you can extract it.
