I recently upgraded to WM6.1 and I can't seem to add the sounds I want for Text Messages.
Either they changed something, or I forgot a step.
Help please

If he did a search he wouldn't needed to make a pointless thread , I wouldn't made a post without an answer, and you wouldn't have made a smartass comment like you know it all. How long did it take you to search for that thread link you posted? I'm sure it would've taken krucifix the same amount of time it took you.

I didn't make a smartass comment until you told me that if I was posting that I should give an answer. The difference between you and I is that I contribute to the forum and I don't make comments about people posting without giving the answers and even after all my time here I still search for answers rather that making threads. The point I'm trying to say is we need people to do some research on the forum for their problems and try to solve them themselves instead of expecting to be given the answers to everything. There is a high percentage that an issue has been covered and resolved on the past and if people would search they could get an answer without the need of a new thread of a topic that is on another thread. Peace..

Spoon-feeding people does nothing to help. If there too lazy to search first before asking, what good do they add to the community? And if he upgraded to 6.1, shouldn't that question have been addressed in the rom thread he's using? Why does it deserve its on special thread when it related to a rom he's using that has its own thread? It was stupid to start a new thread, regardless of whether or not someone gave him the answer. BTW, did you just pull that link out of your head, or did you have to search for it/him?
Imagine yourself lost and ask someone for help but only to get a reply like: "Why don't you learn to read a map dumbass." Tell them what they need and then teach them how to find things themselves.

No No No, people need to use the search then ask for help if the knowledge they are looking for is not available to which considering how much info is on XDA then the answer is generally there..... If not then make a post in the correct thread!!!
We are here to help not spoon-feed.......
show:
He had to search as we know a better answer

Thats what it is like, its not that he doesn't have a map, he just isn't using it.
If your questions have been answered, problems solved, can the OP please change the title to or something like that?
It would make it easier on folks like me who dont mind answering questions and who want to help but dont want to filter through threads to find out whats still out there.
A fun little ticket system.
So how will you change the title of this thread if people start doing it?
Paradox much?

There a lot of members incl. me who would like to see your work once again, but this is just wrong. Why harm the entire Community by doing this instead of just ignoring those members who bothers you?
I know exactly what you mean by lazy persons, there are just too many people who does not search or try to do something about their issues with their device themselves and just wants to be spoonfeed by others.
But please, bring back your work to the Z1 Compact section, if you don't want to then that's your choice.
Thank for all your work for Xperia Z1 compact
I like your amazing custom rom
I respect your decision but it's too bad

I agree, if you're so easily offended by people who aren't even aggressive but just a but dull, you shouldn't make a public release. All others have to deal with this as well, deleting a thread just because somebody posted something that might be considered a "negative comment" because he made a mistake is ridiculous. That doesn't reflect on the dev but that person alone, most people reading here are intelligent enough to recognize that.
Also, if people are making the same mistakes over and over, your documentation is probably lacking, and documentation is part of any release. And if people are supposed to test a release, they need to know how to use it. Plus it would be wiser to listen and consider the possibility that there's an actual bug instead of always saying "nah, you did something wrong".
Sorry to say that because I really appreciate his work and porting the Privacy Guard was a great unique feature, but at times munjeni was just rude for no reason. And this final move is an insult against everybody.

I know that but @KennyG123 told me that I need to contact moderators for thread close! I will contact administrator and ask him about my rights for my own threads since if these thing which @KennyG123 told me is true than I can not see reason why "we" r.c. or r.d. have these option available under thread menu, thats realy funny if we have no right for closing own treads or asking moderators for own thread deletion. I reported this post allready but thread is still opened.

Sorry, I didn't see the report for this one. And I apologize but RDs can close their own threads for any reason, RCs cannot. I apologize that the green of your username resulted in me only showing you the RC rules. Again apologies for not seeing that this morning.

Hello, all XDA-Users.
I know, most users know this, but not every XDA-Member…
I'd really like to say something here:
I truly see too many XDA-Users, that simply post something, without thinking about the fact, that somebody maybe overlook/misses your post.
Well, this is OK, but not, if the post is for a specific user.
If somebody wants to reply/say something to another user, without Quoting a Post of the user or mentioning somebody with @[Username]; the [Username] will not be notificated.
That will cause, that there's an extremely low chance, that [Username] will read the post. Maybe he/she looks at the thread at a random moment or recieves a private message etc. Maybe the Member is subscribed to the thread and takes a look randomlý.
But,
If you talk to somebody, please make use of the Quote/Mention-Feature‼
I'm saying this to anybody, who is a member on XDA-Developers.
Quoted Text
„If you want me to read your post, please either Quote/Reply to my post or type/paste @ИΘΘK¡€ in your post.“
Thanks for your reply
Many members actually forget to use Quote/Mention.
I think, it makes sense to put this into the Non-Urgent Forum rules.
I've seen another post, where Quoting/Mentioning isn't used.
@Hannah Stern, I believe this thread would be a better place for the recommendation you posted above - that way the mods can see it and consider it.

trying to learn how to quote >.<
6011384 @Hannah Stern So it sends them a notification, yet the username doesn't become a clickable link?
And no problem if the username has spaces in between?
*Edit: The username becomes a clickable link, and it appears that spaces in the username isn't a problem, when using with @
Even if you use the @ option, it automatically changes to mention option which you can see by editing the post.
Also, the correct way to use the Mention option is
'any text here, preferably the username, and without the quotes'

Guys, i am a frequent poster at a LeTV s1/X600 phone thread. It would be great if the first post was updated frequently about new information/FAQS/updates/news ROMs, important information, etc. However the OP user, has the account disabled. It's a mess that important information is spread across several pages*, not usefull for people that needs info (sometimes urgent) and not for the guys doing the answering, we don't mind answering, but it would be better for everyone if the important information was in one place.
Now, sure i could open a new thread, but somewhere in the future i will sell this phone and maybe not interested in updating the info on the first post. So, is there a way to have a post editable by more than 1 user so when someone leaves, others could continue updating?
*- This is indeed a typical problem of forums.

Sorry, this isn't really possible. The only way would be to give you the OP. And if you sell the phone and someone offers to take over, they could get the OP.

Ok, this seems reasonable. In case i open a new thread, but after a while i'm no longer interested maintaining the first post i could pass to other user. How could this be done? Is there a way to actually change the user for the first post?
Other way maybe... I could open a new user account and share it, this would be ok too, right?

To have the first post ownership changed, just hit report on the opening post and request the change. If it's someone else's thread, they would need to initiate the change. You can pm a Moderator from your section as well.
And no, it's against XDA rules to create more than one account. Also, multiple persons accessing an account is never a good idea.

All right then. Maybe it's easier to start a new thread. We just want to make a informative (FAQs, updates, tutorials, etc) opening post. BTW, the thread is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/letv-one-x600-s1-hands-antutu-camera-t3130033
As you can see, the OP has the account disabled. But ok, we'll probably open a new thread.
Thanks for the attention guys.
