CM7 rc1 Battery Icon Issue - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Running CM7 rc1, everything has been fine until I noticed my battery icon looked like an SD Card icon with a little gear on it. It changes back to a plain battery (no lightning bolt) when I plug it into the usb but reverts back to the SD Card looking icon when I unplug. Any ideas?

Did you try flashing or morphing a battery icon?

I had the same problem when I flashed the data throttle remover. I just removed it and now its fine again.

Reflashed and all is good! I think is was the data throttle governor too.

OMGB ROM Connection To PC Option

Just flashed the new Omgb rom. Realized there is no connect to PC option and when I plug it in to my computer I get no connection type options. Has anyone else running this ROM encountered this problem? Is there a solution?

If you pull down your notification window, it should say "charge only"...click on that and it should reload you into your mount options
Swyped from my Raided Evo
Haha I know how to change in the notification bar. the problem is when I pull it down there is no charge only display in the bar

battery icon issue

Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 stock ROM rooted....
I found the battery icon has problem. The "charging" icon doesn't changed to regular battery icon even the battery is fully charged.
Is it just mine or...?
Just you. Have you flashed a rom recently?

All stock, but it updated to official 4.0.4 on first use.
If it's still plugged in to a charger, the icon won't change unless you've modded the phone specifically to do it.

Tmo galaxy s3 won't charge.

So earlier today I had an issue where when I would dial a number my phone wouldn't actually dial, it just sat there. So I restarted it and then realized it was very hot, so I opened setcpu and it's min was 1056 which it has been 384 so I changed it back and it immediately cooled off. But then my battery had drained 50% so I put it on the charger and now it won't charge. It has the charging symbol but it doesn't go up. So I rebooted into recovery and wiped cache, dalvik and fixed permissions and it's still doing it. I'm on li8 stock rooted.

How long have you left it charging? Leave it for a few minutes.
Try charging it with your phone off.
Can you mount your phone to your computer? If you can, this can eliminate a faulty port.
If it is showing the charging symbol it is charging.

Yeah normally that is true except this time. It's been on the charger for 15mins and has lost 1% battery while ON the charger. I use this charger every day too.

Uninstall setcpu? What processes are active? Try a different charger? Turn the phone completely off like someone mentioned.
I'd blame an app. They're not tested with leaks so it's silly to expect them to be perfect.

I've been running this for over a week with no issue and no new apps installed. Found out that "media" with the "downloads app" icon is running real high in system usage even after a fresh reboot its like 40-50% of usage.

I don't see that running on mine... screenshot?

[Q]Battery problems

This started after flashing beanstalk ROM. My phone will only charge when off. Also when my phone is not plugged in my charging LED stays on and the charging symbol stays on my battery icon. Tried clearing cache, and set permissions, used a different battery, also reflashed back to the cm10.1 WILD FOR THE NIGHT ROM and it is still doing it.. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Check inside your charging port. Sounds like a crossed/shorted pin. Usr a flashlight. Helps a ton.

Okay I'll check, I think your right because I even flashed back to stock 4.0.4 and its still doing it there for its obviously a hardware issue. Thanks
