Anyone know what the image file is to change the in call background? I am not a fan if the flat black and im having trouble finding it.

Try clearing your dalvik cache and if that dont work try replacing the common_glance_bkg and common_glance_bkg_mg files in com.htc_resources then clearing your dalvik cache. I had problems where mine wouldn't change either till I replaced those two files and wiped my dalvik cache.
That didn't work either.
Don't know what to tell ya man as doing that worked fine for me when I was making my dialer. What rom are you running?

So, I've been running the same stuff since I got my replacement. Stock, deodexed ec05, with maddoggin's simply blue theme/6 lok mod, and nubecoder's droid charge boot animation. All of a sudden, the market is fcing on me. I tried clearing data/cache, and fixing permissions in cwm. Nothing. It starts to load, then fc's. Any ideas?

Have you tried replacing the Vending.apk (market app)? If not pull one from a ROM and try replacing the one currently on your phone.

I just tried replcing it with the vending.apk frm the theme .zip. I deleted the old one, and pasted the "new" one in system/app with es file explorer, then mounted as read only. Then tried to open, it fc'd. I turned it off, booted into cwm, tried to fix permissions, and when I reboted, it fc'd upon startup. i'd be happy if I could keep the themed market, but I'll settle for regular I it'll work again. If you could paste the vending.apk for me, that'd be great. I'm on my phone, so icant really dowload a whole rom. I gotta get sleep lol

Try just flashing a theme that includes a themed market. It should overwrite whatever is wrong with your market plus give you a themed market.
I flashed the theme again, and its still fcing. I don't understand why its doing this, it was working fine earlier. Right now, I just need a working market, Idc about color.

Have you tried to get on gmail? The market requires an active account and maybe that is what is causing the fc. Guessing at this point. If gmail fc's clear data in that then clear the market data and try.

Gmail works fine. When I clear data to the market, it'll let me accept the t&c blah blah, but once I hit acccpt, it starts to load, then fc's.

It happened randomly to me as well I had to start from scratch. Rewipe everything and flash rom then theme. I couldn't gey anything else to work. I also could load data for my back ups from mybackup, just the apk's otherwise the fc would come back. Good luck sorry that isn't the easiest solution.

I am currently running Swagged out Rom 1.9.0.5 RCI. When I try to use the camera it shows me a brite white screen no matter what setting changes I make. But if I snap a picture even not being able to see what I'm taking a picture of in gallery it shows up clear as day. Oh and the video camera does the same and will not play any of my videos taken prior to flashing this Rom.

Are you running the kernel that came with SOS? The reason I ask is that I have only heard of this happening when someone tried using a Froyo kernel with a Gingerbread rom.
I am using this same rom and my camera works fine.
Just needed to re flash the ROM. What I realized is I was using titanium backup and installing all apps and system data instead of missing apps and data..funny how something that small can screw up everything

Have you deleted any system applications?
I would upload the .apk, but I am downloading 2.59 right now. Once it is done downloading I will upload it. Maybe a corrupted package

You said you already flashed the apk and it didn't do anything.

Well you may want to redownload and flash MikG. Chances are there was just a code screw up that was causing the issue. MikG is a pretty well known ROM. I doubt it would've achieved such success if the contacts apk was constantly FC'ing.
Edit: There also may have been an apk that you downloaded that didnt play nice with the contacts apk. Check into that possibility as well.

I was running paranoid android and this morning my camera wouldn't open. So I cleared data cache and dalvik. I switched to aokp and even stock but nothing. I checked permissions and still nothing. Any ideas?

go to manage apps, all, camera.. then clear the camera data and reboot. that should help you.

did you wipe data(factory reset) between switching roms?
Well whatever rom u are running now just redownload it and use root explorer or any kind of file manager and go to the rom that is yours or even dl any rom that is similar to yours.. go to system /app pull camera apk. Then move it to your system/ app it will say camera apk already exists just do it anyways make sure permissions are good.....see if this works for u
Happened to my G1 when the camera physically broke. Probably a hardware issue.
I would do a battery pull and a data wipe before assuming hardware failure.
When i use my navigation the voice announces that my destination is on the right. It continues to tell me this the whole way there. It never says anything different. No turn instructions. No nothing. Destination on the right. Lol. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Someone asked exactly this a week or two ago. Cant remember if this was what worked but try clearing cache and data for maps, google voice, svoice, etc. Also you could try updating or uninstalling updates for maps.

Does yours do that? I'm stock rooted right now.
And fyi. . . Uninstalling updates, clearing cache and reinstalling update fixed it as far as i can tell without driving around.

Thanks doc. I had tried clearing cache before and that didn't do it. I bet uninstalling the update and reinstalling was key here. Regardless, doing all of it fixed it. I appreciate the help.
