I don't like the default Music player of the HTC Desire, majorly because it does not support Unicode characters well. In most of the time I use an alternative player (QQ Music). Unfortunately, the buttons on the original headphone are still controlling the default Music application. Is there any way to change the program they control?
Thank you

Hi guys,
I really like the default music player because it shows you the album art on the lock screen. However, I can't find out how to enqueue a song or album to the now playing list. It always replaces all the songs currently playing and I don't want that.
I tried playing a playlist and then adding stuff to that playlist but that doesn't work either. Anyone got an idea how to do this or at least a music player replacement with the lock screen controls?
Thanks!
Oh, I forgot: On the Windows Mobile HTC Sense (Manila) Player this worked, so I'm thinking this feature must be accessible somehow.
Anyone?
You can hold down on a song and Add to Playlist, but you can't enqueue anything to add to what's currently playing.
To be frank, the HTC Music player is really poor.
So which player are you using? Does it have a lock screen?
I have the same problem on my HTC Magic since I updated it
I use mortplayer for audiobooks and set that to be the program to control the headphones (which I imagined would be just for when it was running) but I'd like to change this back to the default music player.
I can't see any settings in the default app. Does anyone know of a way around this?
Cheers
*** Update - Sorry, it was tunewiki that was messing it up. Once that had it's headphone grabbing settings disabled the default player is back in control
Is there any way to change the default music application, so that when a Bluetooth solution triggers the Incredible's music player, it is something other than the stock?

not positive, but what if you renamed the .apk for music to .apk.bak and renamed the music player you want to the default music player name? Seem's reasonable.
Does anyone know if it's possible to select which app functions as the default for Bluetooth media controls? I use Google Play Music as my primary music player, but my bluetooth media controls always invoke the stock media player. Before the 4.3 update, the Play Music app would respond to my media controls. After updating and hard resetting, the stock music player hijacked my media controls. I know it's possible for another app to take over the controls because I installed PowerAMP temporarily and it took over my media controls.
Is there any way I can get the Google Play Music app to take over the media controls? Is there any way to disable the stock music player?
Hi, I use poweramp on my z3c and I use a third party poweramp remote to control my music from my watch. The app itself works brilliantly! My only issue is that I don't know how to disable the default media player as the two apps wrestle for control and serve the same purpose. Could anyone help me out?
