hi
I´ve rooted and flashed my desire several times. rooted with unrevoked3 everytime and tried different roms like leedroid 2.2d, 2.2 f and rcmixhd 0.13. First time i did it i flashed leedroid 2.2d and it worked fine. After 1,5 months running leedroid my phone rebooted due to the overheating problems that 50 % of us suffer from (i rebooted it manually several times during those months and it worked until this day).
It got stuck at the bootupscreen with white background and green HTCtext. couldn´t install RUU via windows, had to grab the PB99IMG.zip onto my SD and boot into bootloader and restore my phone this way. Then i rooted it AGAIN, and flashed rcmixhd 0.13. Success! But only until i rebooted it manually, stuck at bootupscreen again.
I restored the phone from SD with pb99img as earlier. Flashed rcmixhd again and made sure i wiped everything (dalvik, cache, formatted sdcard and created a EXT), success! Until i rebooted my desire...back again.
Now im running stock non-rooted froyo. I´m getting tired of spending the night fixing it but i still want to use senseHD and i like tweaking stuff..
Do any of u guys recognize this problem and what can i do to fix it?
If any of you are from sweden, plz answer in swedish!
Same problem here, the only way i got to install a custom rom was by installing update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip. Then installed a custom rom by using the "Rom Manager" tool.
Downloading and flashing through recovery mode, "No, can do!"
Ok, but "update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip" isn´t that a custom ROM? Did you install that through ROM manager?
And did you flash another ROM on top of it?

yes this is a custom rom, i did a normal flash first to "update-cm-6.1.0-Desire-signed.zip" (some how that worked???). Then i reflashed through the "ROM manager" tool.
Do you remember to always wipe everything in Recovery before flashing a new rom?
Seems like I always used to have a bootloop or bootfreeze when did not do the proper wipe.

i wiped everything even the Dalvik Cache, didn't help a thing.
Could is be that is has something to do with rom's that are not signed?
I have this same problem now, any possible sollutions?
Perdonally i would suggest to reformat your sd cards and try again. Dont forget to wipe everything.

Not sure how things currently stand , but you used to need an older clockwork recovery ie 2.5.1.3 to flash Coredroid or ARHD

I have flashed both CoreDroid and AR 3.5 with CWM 3.0.0.6.
Are you sure it hangs in boot? Depending on how many apps you have installed, it can take a very long time before it boots fully. So, how long have you waited in the boot screen?
You could try to do the "adb logcat" command and check what your phone is doing during boot. It might just be the zipaligning that takes that long.
are you wipping dalvik cache as well? goto recovery then advanced then wipe dalvik
to be honest i gave it about 15 minutes and the boot animation seemed to keep resseting itself so i booted back into recovery and used the restore function
also no i have not wiped dalvik as to be honest i dont even know what that is lol
Thank you all for your help im currently waiting on the new pyramid as soon as there is a better bversion i will try agai and i will wipe the dalvik as well as being more patient....

Just do a full wipe (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868720&highlight=full+wipe , just flash it like you would flash a ROM) and try again. It should work this time.
I had found a ROM which is as below,
ROM name : [ROM][Aug14 2012] Blackout ICS Incredible v3.0.0 FULLY WORKING!!! [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]
link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531218
I did a full wipe before i flash this ROM, and i successfully flashed this ROM as the AROMA installer shown.
But after i reboot my phone, it just black on the screen and nothing else.

Just try doing the flash again...it happened to me as well...In aroma installer choose to do a full wipe, even if you already did it manually...
This just happened to me as well. I did do a full wipe, up front and in setup. Ill try it now again. Did you get the issue solved in the meanwhile?
*Edit, found the sollution that worked for me in the Rom thread*

Try to do not let Aroma reboots when you finished flash rom. When it ask to reboot choose no, then reboot ur device manually. :good:
I had the same problem; 1st time I booted in recovery, run super-wipe script from android revolution (as I always do before flashing new ROM) and then flashed Blackout. When it asked if I want to wipe, I said NO, thinking the wipe script was enough. But when I rebooted - it stuck on the HTC logo. Then I took the battery out, went to recovery by holding VOL DN key and flashed again - this time answering YES to Aroma installer when it wanted to wipe everything, and it worked... (I rebooted from Aroma, so no problems there)
Hi all... thanks for ur concerns and suggestions.... but unfortunately i was away... Will try it in a short while and feedback to all of u ... Thank you guys so much and god blessed...
Solved! Thanks!
Problem Solved!
HI all, i had successfully flashed my phone with this ROM. :victory:
I have something to share,
Technically, there's no "NO" button after the installation complete but only a "Finish" button. So i just press the back key and quit the installation then reboot my device with 4EXT Recovery.
Thanks for helping me guys :highfive:
God Blessed :angel::victory:
So glad I found this thread
Must have flashed the rom about 10 times, each time letting Aroma do the restart. Even left it booting over night....lol
Booted first time when I restarted it using ClockWork after flashing the 11th time.
I will add, that Aroma failed to install the rom 50% of the time, stopping at the wipe stage, but still congratulating me on a successful install...weird.
well,
that's my first post, and i'm french so for further error and inapropriate thing excuse me
I have the beautifull LG g pro, french model so it's e986. when I flash for the first time a rom on this phone (liquid/jellysmooth) I didn't get any problem at all...
you see the problem begin when I flash xperianze rom, it's not exactly a flashable zip but a backup, so I carrefully did a full wipe data/cache then format system then wipe dalvik cache.
when the phone reboot everything was ok until I see that i don't have any signal, it was because of my imei who disapeared...
so i decided to return to paranoid rom...same thing again...
after that i reflashed jellysmooth, everything seems to be ok until the phone reboot...
And here the phone freeze on the boot image!! and this is for every rom I flash! (CM11,10.2,10.3, PAC ,PA, Carbonrom, mokee... etc etc)
so the problem is not on the package,I think it's only on the boot.img, it freeze at the middle of the animation and then reboot again and again...
I tried philztouch, CWM with freegee, with 2nd-init, twrp 2.6 etc etc....
however don't worry about my imei I just recover it with flashtool so for now I'm on stock rom...
but you guess how much custom rom miss me :crying:
To resume, it's impossible to flash any custom rom without having a bootloop because of a freeze in the animation boot.
I noticed also that when i root a fresh stock recover from flashtool and install cwm, i can only flash 1 custom rom, jellysmooth worked for me after a return to stock rom. but when i want to flash another rom after that, I get this problem again ...
i'm not a novice, I didn't make an error like forgeting to wipe something because i did lot's of try ,in fact I have flashed more than 80roms with around 6 devices, because i want to find the best one (especially for game like real racing 3) but it's not the problem right?
So, please can you help me? :fingers-crossed:
Ho came on guy ! ?

WHAT is your error when you flash stock? What does Odin say when you try flashing? Send a screenshot. If we can see the error in Odin, we likely can help.
