I would love to try that UI just to see how it is.... I tried to download EVOLUTIONX2 but the link doesn't work... thanks

My boss got the droid x.... trust me, you dont wanna try it. the ui is an ugly copy of ours.

This is not General, this is not QA, this is development forum. Go post this is the correct forum. It'd be great is the XDA folks would not respond to these threads while they are in the wrong forum.

I agree with the others that this post doesn't belong here, but really what you are looking for is a theme, and I'm with you on that.
I finally got to see a Droid X last night, and I still prefer AOSP, but I thought it was a well done package. Had a strong theme without being over the top, kinda the opposite of the Galaxy S series.
You aren't going to get the same widgets, which is a bummer. I had a blur phone before and hated it, but Droid X blur is nice. However the NonSense Droid X ROM is pretty darn close. Someone just needs to clone/port the launcher and it wouldn't be very far off. I think this one is themed a bit more deeply than the EVOLUTIONX2, which is great, but part of what makes it great is Froyo.

It would be nice if you let the mods handle it instead of policing every thread personally. Nobody is going to change their ways because you scolded them. Besides every time you soap-box a thread you bump it to the top.

Buddies now.

Is it possible for one of the talented Rom devs to coorporate the old buddies now into touchwiz 4.0. the old one was an scrollable widget and the new is just a linked picture. Below is a picture of how the old buddies now looked. Much better with status up date. It had the works.
I can PM a picture of the old one if needed because I am a newbie and not allowed to post pictures yet.

Thanks but I have tried that already. When you Install, it doesn't change. Thats why I am requesting this in the Development section. The old buddies now was much better.

You don't make requests in the development section. This is a section for stuff that has been developed not requests. Just letting u know.

Yes I hope on of the Devs find a way to add the old buddies now to touchwiz 4.0.

Read through the ROMS posted and find one with features that fit your wants. Some are performance driven, and some are customization driven. Only you know what your looking for. Start reading threads in the development forums.

O yeah I know just gotta get used to these forums. Yeah I found some stockish Tom's with features I want. Triune 2 and nastolgia are the 2 that caught my attention. I want a good kernel to use and found one that has oc which would be nice.

The greatest ROM of all is the one you build yourself.

All ROMs are great to each of the members using it.
You will need to make a backup and try each until one suits YOU
Everybody uses their phone differently so they cannot decide for you

I'm new to xda-dev, myself. I also had some questions/comments re: Albinoman's JBbeta3 ROM, and thought this _was_ the right place to discuss such. Since I know the dev forum is the wrong place (even though it happens there), and now I'm told this is the wrong place...could someone please point me to where the right place is?

Okay, thanks. (A quick glance through the thread titles on this "General" forum reveals plenty of questions, too, so maybe I'm not the only one who's unsure...)

The proper place to ask questions, would be in Albinomans thread. If you didnt want to post there, Q/A would be acceptable. However general is a better place to start a new thread than developement section

Known issue for all JB ROMs on the Inc, but not listed in the OP. Try to cross reference CM10's OP in the mean time.

Advice on choosing a bare bones ROM

I'm setting up a DInc2 for my technically challenged mother. I'd like to install a ROM that is easy to understand and straight forward. But my biggest concern is that the ROM be extremely de-bloated and very stable. I would appreciate recommendations as to which custom ROMs would be best suited given these parameters.

To answer your question, go with cm7. Its super light weight, and can't really go wrong with it.

Should this rather have been posted in the General section? Since this involves custom ROMs I figured this was the place, but I'll be glad to abandon this and ask in the General section if that is appropriate.

Run skyraider Zeus 1.3 or andybonestock.
Download titanium.
Remove all unwanted apps.
I would recommend sense roms since the phone was made for it. Also the camera works better on sense. I personally h8 sense, but if your goal is to avoid hearing complaints, go sense & debloat manually.
