i need asphalt 5 demo only for samsung epic4G I NEED IT ASAP !!!

hello do any body has the asphalt 5 demo it has to be the demo apk that came on the epic4G im trying to upgrade my friends epic4g to froyo but it keep asking for the patch asphalt 5 demo in order for him to upgrade to froyo he used the sdx stock app removal months ago an now he cant find the asphalt 5 demo no were to put it back on the phone can any one help plus if you have more bloat wares post them on here its asking for all the bloat wares i deleted an now i need sprintzone apk that came on the epic 4g an plenty more bloat wares

I think acs had a deodexed dk28 flashable zip that had the demo in it that you could grab the demo from. Could be wrong though...

yea i got the original asphalt 5 demo back an it still not letting me get the update now its complaining about sd card now i put another sd card in with the zip still the same thing plus the phone is stock all the way to the bone even the boot screen is stock the only thing i did to it is i had root the eclair rom what next now who having this problem too

LOL I had the same issue! (installed the full game, then uninstalled the full game with remove it and the demo)
I downloaded the APK pack here:

Then used ADB to push the asphalt file to /system/app (this is where the update.zip expects it to be).
After that the update.zip worked great!

now i need sprint zone apk i deleted alot of these bloat wares with the app called sdx app removal now its asking for these apps back for me to get the upgrade lol do u have sprint zone an by the way ur comment work now its asking for another app wtffffffffffffffffffffff

I cant odin im using drop box to get this working i already have it in my sd card plus my computer cant find my phone so i use drop box i bought 3 usb cord but anyways now i dont need the asphalt 5 no more now its asking for sprintzone now its basically asking for all the bloatware i deleted im running around all these forums like a chicken with its head cut off lol do u have a list of all the bloat wares one by one so i can install them thanks

If you are having problems connecting usb on a stock phone, take it to a service center and ask for a replacement. There's no reason for you to put up with a manufacturer defect.
Oh, and the SDX stock app remover will also put those apps back for you.

I don't mean to be a grammar troll, but it's a lot easier to read requests (esp on tapatalk) if u add some periods and spaces between the sentences.

listen i already did that an send it samsung they say nothing is wrong it connects to there computer an they reflash my phone an tested it i think its my computer but ill find a computer tech to get it up an running

Dude, in post #5 I linked the APK pack with every single stock APK. I just double checked to make sure I wasn't crazy, but sprintzone.apk is in there too.

Syndicate Rom Crash and Question

I found I can get the whole phone to freeze with syndicate rom if I use this website. http://www.webmd.com/diet/calc-bmi-plus Trying to figure out BMI. If I enter the data and and spend at least 2 minutes on the site phone will lock on that screen can't get out must pull battery. Maybe this can help find the mysterious freezing.

i am having the exact same issue. the prev. version of this rom had the buddies now i have re-flashed, wiped & reflashed but still wont pick up the buddies now. tried installing the buddies now apk but it wont manually install either via android injector or any other way. any suggestions or work arounds to get this working please. thanks

BuddiesNow works only on TouchWiz, not LauncherPro. TouchWiz is in Fully Loaded.
Freezes are solved by flashing the kernel in the second post, or VisionKernel. Use VisionKernel 1.1 for right now.

As previously stated I installed the full version, it has touchwiz it doesn't have buddies now. If it does I can't find it, tell me how to bring it up.

Actually <Rodderik> <Cyc> helpded me out. Apparently the program is put in data/app move it to system/app. I didn't try that bud Rodderick sent me this (attached) and I put it in \system\app and that did the trick Thanks to the guys in the chat forum http://webchat.fossnet.info/?channels=acs-users

Ok guys heres the deal. I have a droid inc. i rooted it couple months ago and ill never look back. i have got pretty good at installing roms. however when it come to "flashing" custom mods and themes im lost. i am trying to put a black themed market on my phone. i have downloaded several zip files that say they have it. i know all about astro and all that. i have tried renaming it update.zip and installing it through clockwork. and i have read forums that have talked about removing certain files for it to work. i have put certain roms on my phone just because of the themes for them that contain the "black market" but cant get them to work either. both using clockwork and metamoph. it always says missing or corrupt file. I hope that there is someone out there that is willing to spend lil time with me to get this figured out. thanx guys. btw i am currently on Remption revolution rom but have many others.

I know that one thing you need to figure out is when the ROM was built did he build it with drawable-hdpi named drawable-hdpi-v4 or just drawable-hdpi ? you can check by unzipping the framework-res.apk. I have noticed that if the rom does not have the drawable-hdpi-v4 and the Vending.apk does then it will not install. I have had to decompile the market that I like and recompile it to remove the -v4 for the SR 4.1 Rom. What market are you wanting? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042506 is a nice black market.

Get root explorer a very good app. Then go into data/app and see if you have the vending in there. If you do then delete it. I will download your ROM and check the directory name. Also check out this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957331 there is a nice black on there.

Ok I just checked your ROM and it does have the -v4 at the end of it so the last link I just posted pick the black marketplace and flash it and it should work.

Just copy it to your SD card and install it via CWM or Rom Manager.

i just tried installing it right through clockwork and it said it installed but no black market. gonna try the second method of deleting the vending and updater files.

it wont let me delete the right file w file explorer or astro. do they have to pro versions to do that? is there a way to get to them via the computer? cant find em

Well I bet the issue is...when you installed the ROM it did not have 2.3.6 of the market so it did a update...I had that same problem and followed all the instructions to get it replaced and it did not work. I ended up reinstalling the ROM then flashing the new marketplace imediatly to fix it.

You could replace the vending.apk from the ROM and replace is with the market you downloaded and then reflash the ROM.

Use winrar and right click on the zip file select open with and then select winrar. Click on the system/app then you will see vending.apk then goto the new vending and drag and drop it into the winrar window and select yes it will overright the one that is there now. You must unzip the new marketplace until you have the vending.apk file. Do not add the .zip into the ROM.

Ok when you use root explorer, you need to click the box at the very top that says "mount r/w". Otherwise it is a read only file. The file you are looking to delete can be found by navigating through the following folders. system, then app.
To flash a black or other color market, usually you must first flash a stock market.zip through clockwork. Then reboot the phone, and open the market once to make sure it flashed correctly. Reboot into clockwork again, and flash you black market zip. Start your phone again and check to see that you have the correct market that you want.
If you have any problems with these instructions let me know and I can explain in more detail or step by step.

Ok so download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10654714/Redemptive_rEVOlution_2.3_Final.zip I changed the vending.apk to the black market from one of the links I gave you. Reflash this like you were a brand new ROM. See if that fixes it.

awesome it worked. kinda get how you did it. couple more questions if ya dont mind. 1. i really like the rom "gingerbread-inc-deck-1.2x" cant remember where i got it. so i tried to find the vending file in it and its not there? any ideas? i found the right folder but nothing. think u be willing to help? 2. how do i go about putting custom notification bars on? u know with the cool battery and signal icons. any links to any of them? i know ur prolly a busy person so any help u can give and have gave me is very appreciated.

Hello everyone, I just got my wife the new SGS2 Epic 4G Touch, and I pushed the new Beta of Swype to it, and it won't work at all. I was wondering if someone could possibly provide me with the APK file for the stock version of it so that I can install that back onto her phone to make things right again. Thanks (and appropriate button hit) to anybody who can toss that file my way.

Did you uninstall the app first using titaniumbackup or similar? That's what I have to do whenever flash new rom. Sometimes I need to even reboot after the uninstall, and before the install of new.

[HOWTO] Install Stock Android Keyboard

I know I'm not the only one pissed off at how subpar the Samsung keyboard is, and longs for the Stock Android Keyboard. With that said, I set out to try to find a way to get the keyboard installed properly.
I know in the Google Play Store, there is an APK for such, the problem with that, is it just isn't fully accurate. I got fed up with it today, and decided that I would try to give us a stock keyboard.
Here it goes. The LatinIME.apk file was extracted from the CM9 for the i9300
1) Make sure you are rooted
2) Download the zip file from http://jumbofiles.com/7vy8lykubdsc/LatinIME.zip.html If that link doesn't work try http://ul.to/hc0jc9vz
3) Extract to a folder on your desktop/location on your computer to be able to copy into your device.
4) Reboot your device into CWM
5) Once in CWM, go to "Mounts and Storage" and Click "Mount System"
6) Open up the command prompt, navigate to whatever folder you extracted the zip file to.
7) type in the following "adb push LatinIME.apk /system/app"
8) Reboot
9) .....
10) Profit! You now have it as a selectable option in your Keyboards!
This should be more accurate than the one in the Android Market, but I can't be sure, if anyone knows if there are certain dependancies needed to make it work even better, let me know, I'll add it in and give credit where credit is due.

This isnt in anyway development so it goes in general or themes and apps.... and u can also downlod ics keyboard from market

Yea, that one has something wrong with the Autocorrect. I had the issue with it being off more on my GSII as well. I actually installed it side by side on my GSII with CM9 and typed a long text, exact same thing side by side fast as I usually do. It would omit corrections that should have been there. The CM9 keyboard itself didn't omit those corrections.

Well I can't move it. I do apologise for putting it in the wrong forum. I'm assuming you did also contact the mods to request it moved? I assume you had when you made the comment about how it was in the wrong forum.

I can't seem to get the file to download from that site, was going to see about installing it via root explorer.

No apology needed. You clearly followed the rules where it states HOWTO and GUIDE are to be posted in development.
I would have done the same. If a mod wants to move it, let them move it.

I'm not going to argue about it, I reported my own post to the MOD's they can decide if it belongs here or not. Since it's modifying system files, my viewpoint was it belongs in development. My understanding for Themes/Apps would be addon's that don't modify the system. Considering people can actually bake in the Stock android keyboard to their ROM this could function in development, or it could function in Theme's/Apps. Arguing about it will get us nowhere.
