thanks but could i build with that it shows i can update the ROM date and version. i tried to update the ROM date the way you said to in your thread but i couldnt figure out what i needed to edit and i have been wanting to figure out how to change the red letters at the first boot screen would be what its changing or not i know what to edit for the rom version in the device info but the red letters i still dont know how to edit do you know how.
OK, I know there's been other threads, and recommendations to check the wiki, etc etc. I've been looking through old threads for probably a half hour, and the only threads for official rom's I can find are for the MR1 or MR2 updates, or other threads asking for where to download the official ROM. And I can't check the wiki, since it's apparently down right now.
So...is there any chance anyone knows where to get a copy of the full ROM, and will let me know where it is? I want to check out some of NRG's awesome looking ROM's, but not before I get a rollback option in place in case if I do something really stupid and brick my phone. Any assistance would be awesome. Thanks guys.
Could someone compile a list of ROMs and give a brief description of what they are known for/ pros & cons?
Anyone that does this will be a hero in my books as I have been searching for days and can't seem to settle on a ROM.

There's a start. If you click on the rom, most give a description in the features section. There's a thread in the dev section where someone is listing them.
There it is > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034785
You have as much of an ability to do this as anyone else. You could be your own hero .
And as someone that has flashed most of the ROMs on here, I can tell you no amount of reading about them is going to satisfy your need flash for yourself. Trial and error my friend.
recently rooted and have been around the block with roms but came back to a sense gb build and am interested in building my own theme so i am looking for information and a starting point. wont let me do anything in the development section so here i am.
Have you tried a SEARCH? There are tons of threads on here to help you with that.
And please dont make your thread title HELP, make it relevant to your question.
fair enough thanx
I wish to aid the community by developing a modified vs98546a firmware for the g3. I have no idea how. If you could tell me how in the comments that would be great. I mainly want to know about adding/removing apps from the image. And maybe odexing/deodexing. This seemed like the best place to put this. If you are a mod and this is the wrong section pardon my mistake. You can remove this thread.
You can find about the Android Kitchen...
