Three clicks? You mean of the trackpad? That's a known issue. And you have to hold down the power button for it to wake? Wouldn't happen to be using Tiamat 3.0.1? Another known issue. If that is not the case, please elaborate.
No like when I try to wake my phone with the power button it doesn't respond at all but after I click the power button a couple of times or hold it down it finally wakes up

Indeed. Aside from the boot combinations that's about it.
Epic-ly tapped from my Galaxy SII
Hold search button for voice commands.
Now we're done
well if were gonna go there, hold home for recent apps
and i wish holding back would kill current app like in MIUI
Menu key opens menu (in apps that support it).
The volume rocker obviously controls the volume... And if you hold the volume down it puts your phone on silent with vibration.
Lol... Now were done here.

Well, if you're going to get into the soft keys, holding Home brings up recently used apps and task manager. hold the search brings up an app selection including Sound hound if you have it installed.

Does anyone know if there is a way to manually assign something to a long menu press on stock? I know you can do it with CM7, but I haven't found anything for TouchWiz.
If your phone is on and you have cwm installed you can press and hold the power and volume buttons together and it will take you straight to recovery.

Dont know what else to call it really but I know this is happening with all of our devices.. which is when the screen times out and u press home to wake it up it takes u back to default homescreen. The sgs3 doesnt react that way and ive had to get used to hitting the power button instead. Any ideas? This would be amazing and greatfully appreciated.

I can't replicate this issue. I let my screen timeout and pressed the home button and it simply turned the screen back on to where I left it.

I've had it happen. You press he home button immediately after the screen goes black, and it wakes the screen up, but also takes out of what ever you are in and takes you to the home page. I've retrained myself not to go for the home button, but the power button.

This is really an issue, "immediately" hitting the home button when it goes to sleep? Why not just avoid letting it go to sleep or hit the power button? This seems like a non issue to me and I've never had it happen.
but my post does not help the OP so good luck with that, sorry for the editorial.

Are you using stock LEAK ?
I think this is a Jellybean 4.1 issue. My Note 2 has the same problem, but my wife's Galaxy S3 didn't when she was on ICS. Last week the phone updated to JB and now the problem exists.
This is definitely related to Jelly bean but I'm not sure if it is strictly a Touchwiz Jelly bean issue. It happens when I removed S Voice from the home button double press. It happens on the S3 and when my Note II comes in I bet it will happen on there too.
There are a lot of people that noticed it and I even saw someone open an issue with Google, although I'm not sure it is entirely a Google issue.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=39326
The last line is the issue maybe.
"I want the single tap to be more snappy - for that I must disable s voice, but when I do it this bug raises its head. "
Do you guys have s voice disabled on the home button to save that lag time?
I disabled the s voice on the home button but still have the lag.

All right. I just received a Samsung Galaxy S2 T-Mobile (White) from a friend.
It doesn't boot up to the Stock Android. It's not rooted it's completely stock.
When you start it up it just goes to the Samsung Logo Screen then into a Samsung Android 4G screen in which the loading bar gets a lil over halfway and it just turns off and restarts the process. I'm not sure whether it's the power button issue i've been seeing in the past. Or if it's something wrong with the motherboard power button area.
I am also providing a video I recorded just to see what happens when I put the battery inside an then press the power button.
I was wondering if anyone could give me any things to try to fix it or a possible solution as I would like to fix this issue and root the phone.
http://youtu.be/Ud4bb12gARw
Youtube of putting battery in and powering up.. An how the boot goes.
Is it constantly vibrating in your hand as it reboots? If so then most likely it's the power button
You could try circling around the power button with a pin. Blow it out then hit it with an eraser (or any large rubber item). That worked for me,

There are a couple of things you can try here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931310
I've been a good root user for a while but something isn't right after i used the Installer to flash CM 11 to my Galaxy S4 T-mo.
While i had stock rom i was able to turn my device completely off and reboot into recovery by pressing and holding in the exact order: Vol Up, Home, then Power. And CWM would pop up.
Now with CyanogenMod installed, i try the same process. It says in blue letters "Recovery Booting..." and then everything on screen disappears. I let go of the buttons and after a few seconds the same screen shows without the "Recovery Booting..." in blue letters and then i see the boot.img for CM and the regular boot works fine.
You should know however that if i hold the power button while I'm in CM and tap "Reboot Recovery" it boots into recovery fine. So basically with any root request it works. But the problem with that is if one day if i get a bootloop i cant flash to recovery and restore a backup.
I also tried flashing TWRP instead of CWM but that did not work, the same problem occured with a different recovery.
If anyone has this problem or better, has a fix please reply
Thanks, Essem G

I know the problem has been solved, but out of curiosity, what gave you the idea of that button combo to enter recovery? I only ask because I've seen other questions involving the home button when trying to enter recovery and none of the guides here haven't mentioned using anything other than power+volume up/down for recovery/download mode respectively.
I saw this on galaxys4root.com and it showed a video of that combo working. The very next thing I did was try it myself and it worked. I never knew why or how it changed

It might have been carried over from the s3. Adding the home button doesn't do anything so in retrospect the s4 doesn't even notice. Power + Vol down will take you to Download mode (just an FYI)

Check the quickpanel settings. I don't think there is a power setting. Rom Toolbox may be what you need for getting to the power on/off. As for the pother options, if they can't be added through the AIO, then you might want to try an AOSP ROM. There is a tutorial on how to add things to the power section. Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2125196
Install this app. It will allow you to choose settings for the phone to turn on off, eg taking it out of your pocket, putting it down face down, etc. The E4GT power button is a known issue and the reason I got rid of mine. I didn't have this app at the time though. Hopefully it helps you.
