i Recommend you do this if you can get into recovery b/c it's flashable (no need to use odin)...

Moved to Q&A, please post in the correct section.

i looked and double checked and found out I was trying to flash dg 27. to get the stock one i guess its going to be 4.5 hours unless anyone knows where else to download it faster if i dont find one

is rapidshare good and how much do they soak you?

yea it'll take awhile to download lol just be patient its a huge file

Well I. Can say its a learning curve. I have finaly odined the stock flash(I think) and ended up with a broken gps so I installed clockwork 2.5 and downloaded the stock rom flashable from cwm. That fixed the gps and I backed it up. Next I tried flashing another 2.2 rom, broke the gps again and tried restoring to the backup but it failed. Reflashed the stock d17 again that got me back working from the 2.1 to 2.2 to 2.1 again but the android market didn't work so I. Reinstalled again and no gps again and soomehow I think thbis is the rom that doesn't alow kme to shut the phone off, just restarts. I want to go back to stock working everything again. Is that possible? What cwm flash rom will get me there again. That 2.2 just screws me every time.

Question? I downloaded OTA today or I thought I did.

I had rooted my phone a few months back and used Skyraiders 1.9b rom for a bit. After hearing about an ota coming out I decided to go back to the original stock rom by just using my nandroid backup. So today I get my OTA update and my phone gets stuck on the ! inside the triangle screen. I reboot and I am still on 2.1 and the old radio and can not get back to the OTA update. Any help?
2.1 Update-1
Baseband 1.00.03.04.06
Kernel 2.6.29-cc1c2268
htc-Kernal
I am guessing I need to get Clockwork Recovery off of my phone any tips on doing that? Did a search and came up with nothing.
Thread moved to Q&A.
Oops sorry.
Forget it I am just updating my rom through XDA. Was hoping to do the OTA, but this will work fine.
Actually you should have just let it sit. I know some have said in just a few minutes I had Froyo. Well it's longer than that, and it seemed to hang up on the green triangle with the phone image um twice? I want to say. I just got up and walked away before I touched it. I think you stopped it from updating. If it doesn't get repushed you may have to run the rom or update.zip that's going around.
I let it sit for 25 minutes. I thought that was alittle excessive. I downloaded from the XDA forums. All is good and I am loving froyo with my 720p video and my flash works with the camcorder! Nice!

DG27 to DK28 So I can FROYO

Hey All. I have been on a roller coaster with My Samsung Epic.
Recently I Finally from DK28 updated to Froyo for my Samsung Epic and flashed Viper trinity ROM on it. It was cool up until certain apps did not work well such as Tom the talking Cat and Hulu. Furthermore I rely heavily on my Sprint Navigator, which was Removed after the Viper ROM flash.
I tried to factory restore and reset but had no luck, my phone actually never was able to reset as from the Privacy reset through the Phones gui it would freeze, and if I did the -vol, camera, and power it still kept the viper ROM.
With out further reading I watched a youtube video and ended up using Odin 1.6 and reset it back to DG27. I tried to than only update to 2.2 Froyo without adding any fancy Roms but it failed to do so.
Thats when I read it could only be flashed forward if its DK28. Im suck now and cant get back to DK28. Ive tried Odin again with the SPH-D700-DK28-8Gb-Rel.Tar.MD5, and sometimes removing the .MD5 part.. but odin still gives me errors. ive been at this for the last 9 hours and could use some help, guidance and actual Links that are not broken or have a 404 error on them.
-
Problem: Cannot use Odin to get back to DK28 and is stuck on DG27
Solution I want: To be able to take my crappy Samsung Epic and make it Epic with Froyo 2.2 so I can one click root it, installing Flash and Hulu.

Thank you all!
You may want to Odin to DI18,and then going to EB13 either by an update.zip,or Samsungs tool, mini kies if I remeber right.Or you can try one of the current FROYO ROMs,EB13 based.
Sent from my MyFrankenstein E=Bee13² ROM using XDAP App...
should be able to ODIN right to EB13. look for that file and follow the steps. ODIN doesnt care about deltas etc... it writes to your phone regardless. then you can one click root and rock your custom ROM to get hulu going.
That would be nice.. but EB13 and DI18 I cannot find.. I have been looking for them and have come up with nothing. I have searched and most of the links are the stupid Gator link with 404page error.. Also the Stock roms are just impossible to find.. Im a hammer stroke away from caliming my phone was dropped and just getting a new one. I hae tried Odin3+V1.61 with Victory PIT and SPH-D700-DK28-8Gb-REL.tar.MD5 and without the MD5 and continue to get an error....
Please, Links and tutorials will be greatly helpful.
NVM. I found it. Took forever to find the right TARs and what not.. now I have to find a way to go from DI18 to DK28.. OTA update doesnt seem to work.. and warning out there, ViperTrinity Rom is slow and laggy.. Trying to watch Hulu is unwatchable and also a simple app like Tom the Talking Cat does not work well.. Laggy as a mother!
Why dk28? You should just go to eb13 anyway, laggy buggy issues are at least somewhat if not entirely because of dk28, it was a very buggy leak. Now that eb13 is out go to that, throw on a custom kernel if nothing else and you should be in much better shape.
I believe ptfdmedic's newest midnight rom has flashable zips to restore whatever stock sprint apps you might want. Ill see if I can find you links to all you'd need.
Edit: you should be able to use this and odin strait to eb13 froyo stock pre-rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853209
Still looking to see where it was that I found the sprint apps flashable zip that could be used if you went to a custom rom but wanted nav back.
Edit2: ptfdmedic does have a sprint apps edify zip on his site http://lostandtired.com/ under the android development section which I assume these work with EB13 if you were to go to a custom rom with them removed.
The ROM that I was actually thinking of was ecooce's new frankenstein rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=982415 He has zips with all the removed apps so you can add back what you need.

Any help with a phone that won't boot

I have an epic that was rooted and flashed with syndicate's 1.1.1 rom. For whatever reason the phone rebooted and went into clockwork without my pressing the appropriate buttons. I then tried to reload the rom, reflash EC05 through odin and followed about 3 or 4 threads of getting the phone back to stock. But every time I reboot, I go straight into clockwork. Any help would be great since all the stores are closed and I'm waiting on a phone call tonight
Use the search next time. Use ODIN to revert your phone back to stock and then either flash a NAND backup or start fresh with SFR.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052813
I did use that thread and as soon as I got to factory.rfs (or something like that) I hung for about 45 minutes before I quit and tried again, to only have it happen again. I've been pretty good about searching a bunch of threads, been at this for about 3-4 hours now.
Change USB cable/port on computer and reinstall Samsung drivers.
Use the victory pit with Odin and check the repartition box. I would use the EB13 prerooted tar found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853209
Then use the included EB13-EXT4 pit included instead of the victory pit.
So after replacing cables and regoing over all the instructions, I swapped the phone only to figure out that the SD card was corrupted somehow and my loads weren't working. so I am now back on syndicate 1.1.1 and happy. I thanked kenny since he was the only one to offer something besides "reread all the posts you already read noob"

Problem with Flashing Almost Everything!

I am posting this as a new topic because I don't have enough posts to post my concern in the thread of the ROM I use.
I have been using PATB ROM for a while now without any issues. Since updating to the newest version I have run into severe issues trying to flash anything besides doing Restores. Every time I try to flash something new it fails immediately and this includes trying to flash a new recovery. I did some reading and thought I had found the answer in restoring the system to stock firmware via Odin. However after trying this a short while ago the process failed as well as soon as Odin showed Recovery in the process bar. This screwed my phone pretty bad, but I was able to Odin a new Recovery on to the phone which seems to have taken it back to functioning normally. I am still unable to flash anything and the only stuff I can do inside Odin is to put different Recovery zips on the device. But even after doing that I am unable to flash anything, and it jumps to Failed right away.
I am not much more then slightly experienced when it comes to rooting and flashing but I have never come across anything like this before. I was using Xposed Framework and I unistalled it because I thought it might be causing the issue. But still no luck. This is driving me crazy. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated because I would like to try out some new ROMs. By the way my flash count reads as only 4 when taken into download mode even though I am pretty sure I have flashed more then that; unless it only trips when completely changing ROMs which would make it a correct count. So I am hoping somebody out there has seen this before and knows how to help me get past this. Thanks to those who are able to help.
Have you tried flashing the full MK4 firmware? IIRC you can't go backwards. Try this out: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7viivd985s7cp8l/L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.zip
Use Odin 3.07. If it fails go with 3.09. Please let me know if it works or not. Your partitions may be corrupt but that's a LONG shot. Let's just stick with you're trying to downgrade and the bootloader isn't letting you

After pouring over countless articles, threads, and posts about the same problem I finally got it to work. I used Odin to put the newest TWRP Recovery on to the device and from there I attempted to flash a stock rooted deodexed MC2. After it failed 3 times I unchecked zip verification as a long shot and it took, flashing the stock ROM. At first I was a little concerned because of how fast it flashed but for the most part everything worked fine. My only problem after this was my baseband was stuck on lj1 which was easily remedied by flashing a modem zip. After that I was having issues with calls dropping almost instantly. I could have a full bar reception and as soon as the call connected it would drop and say I was outside of service area. Thinking back to something I read elsewhere I went into applications/phone and deleted the data (after backing it up) and now things seem to be running very nicely. So needless to say it has been a stressful couple days but diligence and studying got me where I needed to be (hopefully).
By the way no I have not gone to MK4 yet because of there not being any custom ROMs with additional features that make it worth it for me to do so. I will do so either once a custom ROM drops with the N3 air view features added and fully functional or when I purchase my Galaxy Gear. Until then I am going to run the MK4 modem which I have read improves reception and data speed. Thanks for the advice.

Flash the latest TAR file in Odin and you return to stock.

If you don't want to jump all the way to starting over with ODIN flash, you can just load TDH-JR ROM, which has probably what you want: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/development/rom-tdh-jr-rom-t3550677 -- maybe give that a shot.
I fixed it yesterday finally, thanks for the response though but I ended up doing I downloaded like three different Factory ROMs and I tried each one of them thinking that but then I read somewhere that once I upgrade the CPL or somewhere along them lines that I can't go back but they added this stupid ass code that you can't go backwards cuz of the battery issues they had when all the galaxys were blowing up, somet hi ing l8ke that, so after I read about that I went ahead and well obviously at that point you just want to fash yiur factory ROM at that point is the ROM that you upgraded to just grab that same ROM and use the same kernel and everything and I did and it booted but I sold that
S6 i think I'm going to try I'm and check that ROM out that you just posted the one I'm on now the black one that were referring to right now I sold the yesterday after I fixed it but this white one is the better one and I'm about to root it now plus it's already unlocked it's a Galaxy SM g920p 32gig unlock I'm rocking MetroPCS on it right now and I'm getting pretty good signal actually.
