Updated version for the themes: Version 2
- Changed lowest brightness to even lower values. From a scale of 0-255 i changed 33 to 25. It seems to be quite good.
- Changed highest brightness to higher value. Instead of 253 i made it 255
- Removed "phone options" when holding the power button. So all menu options now fit without scrolling.
- Changed AOSP behaviour. Normal lockscreen is AOSP, but when you have a message or missed phonecall, you will see the Epic lockscreen.
-- Added for green theme is transparent stuff

What to choose ?
Use the full framework version, it's the most stable and supported one
How to install ?
Put the file on the SD card and flash with CMW
Requirements ?
You need to have a deodexed ROM. It seems to work on JPY, JP3 or JP5, JP8. But should work on other versions. XXJP5 maybe has a issue.
Todo:
- Investigate how to install in a non-deodexed ROM
- Make tekst fit in dropdown menu
- Other stuff being reported here
Version history:
0.81 small package with only needed files
0.82 is basically 0.81 with added framework files
0.91 Pressing home button on lockscreens is now disabled
0.91 Shutdown menu now fits (no need to scroll anymore) (big thanx to bitblaster)
1.0 has added the pulldownmenu non-transparent (big thanx to dhiru1602)
Special thanx to Darkyy and R64 for helping me out
Also thanx to all others that have helped me to create this theme.

Hi Guys,
I was looking around and did not find find the theme i was looking for.
What exactly did i want ?
Run a rom with only minor changes like the 4Lockscreen and Extended Settings.
Shutdown menu with the option to go to recovery and downloadmode.
Only the usage of stock icons. So no changes in color !!
Beceause i am fairly new to scripting, i just borrowed some scripts from other themes and changed them like i wanted.
I actually used some frameworkstuff from Darkyy and added the default icons back.
The first result is not the endproduct but for now something i can live with.
I will release the CMW file soon, so keep an eye on this topic...
For now it is based on JS5....

Brutus hi
Here is a power menu and lockscreens mod on stock(deodexed).
http://www.multiupload.com/4PQFLJYPAK
I made this a while ago, based on js2 (should work on jpy and later - deodexed), you can use it as template.
It’s untested!! So use it at your own risk, backup and everyhing.
if there is any problem, let me know and i'll fix it.
Love the idea!
When it's complete, ask to get it added to the kitchen!
One request, would you be able to make edited versions of the dialer to support different pixel densities?
Can't wait for this i love being on darkys but i hate the status bar being entirely black, ruins wallpaper blending

Updated first post
I am investigating the 5 lockscreen. That looks really cool.
- Currently i am decrypting the stock apk files. So i can add just the unlock screen option, without the color changes and added/altered names. Have "real" stock menu's etc.
Only problem now is that i need to sign the apk file if i want to encrypt it again, and because it is a official stock Samsung apk,do i need the real certificate ?
All modifications on the apk files is done, i need to test them out now.
Next version will NOT be based on any existing theme, but on the stock files of JS5
Thanks a lot man! Hope you can upload it with 5 lockscreens soon

Hi,
This is a simple mod of Samsung's 2.3.3 framework to make it closer to the stock Gingerbread feel. Images are taken from 2.3 sdk, added a feel tweaks of my own (to fit the expanded status bar in particular). Kindly note that this will only work on Samsung's Gingerbread releases.
Changes from Samsung's stock theme:
- 1% battery levels
- Tweaks to expanded status bar
- Green/grey network and wifi icons (depending on connectivity to Google services)
- New Pop-up toasts
- Screen-off animation (tks Daneshm90 for his tip)
- Green progress/ slider bars
- Extended Power Menu and AOSP lockscreen (thanks $omator!)
- Overscroll glow (thanks dhiru1602!)
Installation:
- I would recommend using CWM install zip function in Chainfire's or Supercurio's kernels
- Or you should be able to replace the apks from the zip file generated by Rom Kitchen (Use 7zip and drag and drop.). Keep a backup just in case bad things happen

I've not tried that, CWM is still the easiest. If root explorer works for you in previous roms, the same method would work too. You may get some force closes though when replacing them.

I've tried to keep things as close to stock Gingerbread as possible. Maybe I'll add a couple of alternative packs if I have time.
ock, I took your theme and replaced the battery icons to a Honeycomb like, cause I seriously can't see the battery reading in the original Gingerbread (it's not your fault, I understand).
So, I took the liberty to use your theme.zip and replaced it the battery indicator icons.
I'm sharing what I changed here for all, hope you don't mind. If this shouldn't be here, let me know.

Therefore, H+ icons are themed!
Decreased size of Carrier Label height to make more space to Notifications.
Removed blue colors from samsung apks tabs based on twframework_res.apk in collaboration with Nitrozk, big thanks to him for sharing.
Added Bootanimation to Cognition Hypertheme
Enabled Alpha Transparecy on Cognition.
Blur is set to Slow on both themes so CRT is not pixelated.

Install Guide:
Boot into ClockWorkMod recovery by powering on with volume UP, home and power held.
Go to BACKUP and run a backup
Once this is done go to "advanced" then do "wipe dalvik's cache".
Now you need to go "Install Zip from SD" find "Docs_v1.0-hypertheme_Villain 1.4.zip"
Once complete you can reboot the phone, you will be on VillainRom with docs theme..
even if you dont like it, it would hurt my thanks to rise!....xD
Warning: Some mods for VRom arent compatible....that means, if you flash another circle battery mod on top of my theme, my theme will dissappear...why?, cause you are flashing a new themed framework-res.apk.....same goes to other tweaks as prevent full charge notification or any other tweaks that overwrites one of the .apks provided here.....
its only logical that was happening, just wanted to let you guys be aware...
if enough of you guys want me to include mods (like the ones mentioned above), ask nicely, and I surely will, as it involves much of my free time to do it on my very old pc....
Here is a little dirty guide if you want to port the theme to an unsupported build
Just make sure build is using same release as the ones supported (KG2, KG3, etc)
and that it is deodexed..... at least the apks your want to port (framework-res.apk and systemui.apk)
the build must not be heavily hacked (like Cognition) who adds another option to quicksettings for example.
Since Villain is as close to stock as it can get, we could use it as a base. All is different on Villain ROM from stock is its signature (META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml)
Main theme is based on two apks:
framework-res.apk (located on /system/framework)
SystemUI.apk (located on /system/app)
the rest of the files included on my theme are for adblocking, bootanimation, theming of widgets, etc....
so lets start with these ones shall we.....
straight to the point
Open up both apks using 7zip (mine and the one you want to be themed)......(dont extract just open them up side by side)
and copy from the original apk from the build you are on the following files into the already themed apk (villain´s from my theme), just drag and drop.....
META-INF folder
AndroidManifest.xml
then zipalign using this the zipopt_all attachment below......
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5235458&postcount=46
then use this flashable zip file as a template (doc´s test).....drop SystemUI.apk into /system/app and framework-res.apk into /system/framework...find it on the attachment below.
then nandroid backup
then flash it.......good luck!
if it works.....then please....SHARE!!
THANKS.
Any themes for Lite'ning rom?
I guess i'll have to switch to VillainROM 1.4 for themes..
VillainROM is great only thing missing is Screen Off animation and over scroll and call record function if i get those in VillainROM i'd happily shift to VillainROM.
Hold on..ill get back to you......Litening is already themed....anyhow...this theme adds CRT....call recording function you flash on VRtweaks......uploading and taking screenshots...hold on.
Cognition ROM support, please?
I loce this kind of theme.
I'll wait for overscroll to flash.
Keep on the good work...
I will add support to other roms....but.....since Villain uses stock I thought I will start there first.....Cognition is very appealing and I really like the OP...lol..
I will, with help of a tester.....port it to cognition......remember im not a themer...if anyone wants to take over the theme, I will give him sources as long as theme stays loyal to original....

Most of that is already in VRTweaks.
And the other features are part of the themed files anyway, so the theme would bring them.
Nice to see another theme

I did not try VRTweaks.
flashing VillainROM 1.4 ASAP then will try VRTweaks.
Currently using MIUI rom
thanks for letting me use your work for overscroll glow, downloading now
Sure mate.....whatever u need given proper credits....
I think you have to remove the V1.1 because the overscroll make some apps FC's, I will download V1.0 if the only difference is overscroll, but I love the notification toggle buttons, no more text only buttons, that is how it should be!
pls tell me which apps FC so I can test....I made the hack from source and havent run into any FC....
and yes, only diff is overscroll.......anyhow....am fully testing it, no FC so far....believe, first FC I will be the one taking it down...lol

Dialer One for example, it works without the overscroll
here you have explanation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14872550&postcount=42
will try now...although i dont use it....will report....hold on a min, let me install it
edit: Correct, Dialer One crashes, and logcat points to file I modded, although, I dont think this error is exclusive to the devices, users on SGS must be getting that crash too. its not a FC as android doesnt kill the app, its Dialer one crashing itself for not finding correct sources.....is there any other app that FC's?, is this crash happening too on builds <KF2?
Excellent work doctorcete!
Going to download and test now ill let you know how it goes. Loved your work on the fading menus on the HD2 cant believe there on my SGS2 now
All we need now is a hyperdroid rom on the SGS2 and we'll be complete
yeah.....consider the theme as the hyperdroid begginings for the s2....although you should know that hyperdroid is all about aosp and cm7.......fading animations and keyboard ported from the hd2 looks really nice on s2...
Jep....whatsapp crashes too...but logcat now its pointing to the exact file and line that gives the error..........switching to linux and taking a look at that damn file...lets see what it can be done
jep I can see the error on the smali file....
problem is, comparing both archives (bouncing and overscrolling sources) they are totally different, in fact, on our version adds a couple of more smali files and beisdes that, those lines that point to rashes are because those files that are pointing are totally inexistent on our jar file, our jar file has more lines, therefore they are numbered different.........basically code is diff, and, unless someone know a way to automate the process....its very difficult to port.....
Sadly im removing overscroll too....sorry
first i want to say thanks to Dr_Sam for bringing this particular theme to my attention. had he not, this probably wouldn't exist
also need to say huge thanks to Antonda who is the original creator of this theme. original thread can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152448
alright, down to business. porting has gone extremely smoothly thus far. i've kept almost everything (i know, some probably just sighed a little here) but i have only changed very very few things. example... the message slider tab is currently green. i will be changing this to blue to better suit the theme. *please note, this is not an "all blue" theme. there are some hints of green, as well as other colors, here and there.
currently Antonda has 3 releases. at this point, i'm only concentrating on one at a time. i may only do one, we'll see. i've started with the JVP new release, but i'm going to go back to just JVP because i like the status bar a little better.
Universal theme *should* work with ALL deodexed TW ROMs, no matter what release version KI4 (and all 2.3.4)
i'm no longer supporting the Universal theme. there are just too many issues with it. it doesn't work for everything like it should. i'm leaving the link up but flash at your own risk

NOTES
all feedback is welcome. please keep in mind that i've never ran this theme on any device previously than the SGSII. there are probably some things still wrong.
Mms.apk was released pretty much how i had it. if anyone would like to lend a hand there regarding the background being changed to black, please feel free to.
oh, and the ClockPackage.apk changes were just for the tabs. i'm also aware that the other colors within the clock aren't blue... that's because the stock ROM of the SGS1 had blue. may theme this later anyway...
***blue toggles zip
i have added blue toggles as a zip file (do not flash!) for anyone that wants them. to apply, simply copy the included png image files over to your SystemUI.apk in res\drawable-hdpi using 7zip or something similar. then copy SystemUI.apk back to your system/apps folder with root explorer or something similar. change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.

what 's the letter type used in this theme?

my system font being used is the Sony Sketch font. but 3G icon font face, and others, is a font called Bauhaus. it will be included and installed when you flash. will overwrite your Clockopia, DroidSans, and DroidSans-Bold fonts to make them all Bauhaus.

nice. looks great. btw about EDT, do i install EDT first then this theme?

it really doesn't matter which you install first. i'm not including the EDT app. i'm just making sure my SystemUI.apk is compatible with it so if a user wants to use it, they have that option.

nice. thread is going fast after released.
btw does the battery extras need to be redownloaded too for every release? cuz i got the habit to download all stuff in one update and would like to know if i only need to download the new bate2 only or includes the 3 extra battery just incase i want to change them.

good question.
edit: this has changed a bit. battery variation release numbers should almost always match theme release number, ie 1.3.1 to 1.3.1. there are certain instances where you'll see the theme bumped up one but the battery variation release staying the same. this is because something changed within the main theme that had nothing to do with SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk which is re-flashed when you flash one of the battery themed mods.
and just because i'm pretty excited, aren't you? heh
Is this the one you've posted on the VR thread? If it is, then I'm looking forward to it

i would seriously need your help with the lockscreens. i've never messed with anything quite like that before. looks like there were lots of .jar file edits and the addition of xml/png files all over the place.

i was modeling it after the Android here.
as you can see, that dark blue isn't the only blue within the theme. i thought a darker blue for a tab would look tacky. guess i could do it just to show you...

CLEAN TouchWiz Lockscreen Mod for odexed (stock) and deodexed ROM's. If you have custom ROM or mods with ex. power menu, custom lockscreens or something like that you phone will probably bootloop after applying this mod.
This lockscreen is similar to stock TouchWiz lockscreen but it has removed "Swipe to unlock" text, unlock arrows and grey/glass backgrounds. It works with stock music player lockscreen controls.

Features:
- resources.arsc file isn't compressed (like in stock Samsung ROM's)
- all files are zipaligned (like in stock Samsung ROM's)
- enabled CRT screen off animation in /framework-res.apk/res/values/bools.xml for versions with CRT animation
- Clean TouchWiz Lockscreen Mod
Download and apply via CWM:
For XWJVZ - with CRT animation enabled: Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVZ-CWM3.zip (5.31 MB) (choose this if you want Clean Lockscreen and CRT off animation)
For XWJVZ - without CRT animation: Clean_lockscreen-JVZ-CWM3.zip (5.31 MB) (choose this if you only want Clean Lockscreen)
For XXJVT - with CRT animation enabled: Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVT-CWM3.zip (5.42 MB) (choose this if you want Clean Lockscreen and CRT off animation)
For XXJVT - without CRT animation: Clean_lockscreen-JVT-CWM3.zip (5.42 MB) (choose this if you only want Clean Lockscreen)
For JVR: Clean_TW_lockscreen-CRT_off_anim-JVR-CWM3.zip (5.7 MB)
For JVS: Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVS-CWM3.zip (5.47 MB)
To enable CRT screen off animation you have to enable animations in display settings. CRT screen off animation won't work if you have changed speed of animations (with Spare Parts or nitrality app).
If you want to remove this mod use this CWM update.zip:
For XWJVZ: REMOVE_Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVZ-CWM3.zip (5.32 MB)
For XXJVT: REMOVE_Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVT-CWM3.zip (5.43 MB)
For JVR: REMOVE_Clean_TW_lockscreen-CRT_off_anim-JVR-CWM3.zip (5.8 MB)
For JVS: REMOVE_Clean_lockscreen-CRT-JVS-CWM3.zip (5.49 MB)

Yes.

update :
I sorted it out. Simply replace the android.policy.jar and android.policy.odex in framework folder and it works now.
Just a little suggestion, you may want to include the mentioned files for user like me, who is not on TW lockscreen originally.
The files I attached are created by d0ggy. Credits to him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am on JVR odexed rom with AOSP lockscreen. Flashed this and it is still giving me the AOSP lockscreen.
Do I need to flash to a theme with TW lockscreen before apply your mod?
Bo$s, I like your mod but I want to keep my own theme icons.
I am nearly completed integrating your transparent LS with my own theme.
But I have no clues of what to do to get rid of the "Sweep glass to unlock" text. Are you kind enough to tell me how to do it? Is it simply replacing a png file or what?
thanks

You have to edit strings.xml in \framework-res.apk/res/values*/ folders. As you can see every language has it's own values folder. Open strings.xml for your language, find line
Code:
<string name="zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2">Sweep glass to unlock</string>
and replace it with
Code:
<string name="zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2" />
In my mod I've replaced this tag in all strings.xml files (for every language)
PS: If you want to replace them automatically (by regex) this can be useful to find them:
Code:
<string name="zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2" *[^/]*?/string>

Decompile framework-res.apk to see those folders. Use Apk_manager 5.0 beta or apktool.

In framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/
Code:
zzz_unlock_arrow_*.png
zzz_unlock_blackbg.9.png
zzz_unlock_clockbg.9.png
are transparent (watch out for correct 9patch images).
Hey Bo$s,
thanks for your tips.. I've made a MOD but with still grey Background I think that is a little bit better for recognizing that you have to throw away the lockscreen..
I hope its ok for you that I used your png's!
Thank you ver much!

This is a MINIMAL mod, ICS blue color themed, so it pair perfectly with already blue themed ROM (like WanamLite Blue ICS Themed for exemple).
This mod does NOT (and will never) theme any Dialer, Browser, etc.
My goal is to stay stock as much as possible with some more comfort by not modifying much, resulting less bugs than any other themes.
It must be only flashed over an official Samsung ICS ROM's and not AOSP/AOKP !
Feel free to add my modded icons to your themes/mods but please don't forget to credit me and inform via PM.
★ FEATURES ★ :
100% authentic AOSP ICS blue color, no variant !

Quick settings button access in statusbar toggles (left to carrier)
X-like clear/delete notification button in statusbar toggles (right to date)
Blue colored clock in statusbar

★ MINI-FAQ ★ :
If you have any issue, try wiping cache.
Wipe everything (cache + dalvik cache), format "/system" partition, then reflash your original full ROM back (without modified stuff already) and then flash my mod.
If the theme you flashed is currently working well, you can flash another version without any problem (no cache wipe needed).
★ HOW TO UNINSTALL ★ :
Flash back your original full ROM (wipe not needed) or nandroid restore

PROJECT NOW DISCONTINUED !
Changelog
CHANGELOG :
*.*.* :
PROJECT NOW DISCONTINUED. (Why?)
28.05.2012 :
Added XWLPF version (SystemUI.apk from WanamLite ICS 11.8).
18.05.2012 :
Added XWLPD version (SystemUI.apk from WanamLite ICS 11.6).
16.05.2012 :
Replaced "Clear/Delete" button text to an image (thanks to engloa's help, once again).
Darkened slightly more data arrows icons (now same code color of other data letters icons).
15.05.2012 :
Slightly darkened data arrows, looks now more consistent between wifi & signal data icons.
14.05.2012 :
Finally fixed those non statusbar problems ! many thanks to engloa for the trick !
Reverted back to Wanam "stat_sys_battery_full" PNG with a little retouch by me (to avoid space blank icon bug).
13.05.2012 :
Modified global translucent notification pulldown to 82%.
Blue ICS colored pulldown for notification text (below carrier).
Reverted some .9 patched files like before (since notification blue bar was stretched due to the first try of an eventual fix of DXLP9).
Now probably fixed DXLP9 versions (I always signed SystemUI & lidroid-res APK's, that maybe will explain why some people reported none statusbar appearing problem. Many thanks to engloa to see it).
12.05.2012 :
engloa's "Bluetooth" statusbar icon color modified to ICS blue.
Reverted to stock GPS statusbar icons, since once fully satellites locked, icon stay gray instead of ICS blue (same problem about "No signal" PNG, currently searching for a solution).
ICS blue "Flightmode" statusbar icon created.
Translucent .9 PNG's patched (with black pixels fixed).
Removed "100%" full charged icon (useless).
11.05.2012 :
Now featuring only translucent versions (removed all other files, as promised).
Default will be now NoBB (No Blue Bars) versions. Blue Bars will be finally no more supported (sorry about this).
Translucent clear button background.
Blue ICS colored pulldown for Carrier and Date texts.
Blue ICS progressive style when long-press a notification.
Fixed full translucent background in the Samsung task manager, now 50% like stock.
Modified global translucent transparency to 85% (lower value would result a bad visibility on toggle icons).
Added some new blue statusbar icons : Alarm, Bluetooth, GPS, SIM card, Sound (all courtesy of engloa).
Added DXLP9 version (thanks to engloa).
Added a clear dalvik-cache in the flashing script procedure.
09.05.2012 :
Fixed gray background notifications bug on DULP9 firmware.
Added "Translucent" versions.
Featuring full 50% notification pulldown
Modified "notification_item_background_color_pressed" to 30% translucent more.
03.05.2012 :
New visible toggles icons modification : 7 in portrait and 10 in landscape.
Renamed some icons text in toggles to fit perfectly (no 2nd row bug anymore) : "Shutdown" is now "OFF", "AutoSync" to "Sync", "Auto Rotate" to "Rotate", "Sound vibration" to "Snd+Vib", "Vibration" to "Vibrate" and "Flash" to "Torch".
All images in lidroid-res.apk optimized.
02.05.2012 :
Added quick settings button access in statusbar toggles (left to carrier). Special thanks to engloa for his nice help and patience.
Universal mode : now should work on every firmware versions (Android 4.0.3 Samsung ROM's), based on XWLP8 SystemUI.apk.
29.04.2012 :
Added "NoBB" versions (No Blue Bars, below toggle icons).

Did you tried wiping cache + dalvik cache after flashing and before rebooting to system ?
Also, try to download a second time (just renamed files of dropbox).
Mate, you gave me this one before on the other thread
It's a little different than what you have on the first post and for me, this is better as
-it has 6 visible swipable toggles 15 in total
-it has settings button

I know about this but it's because I didn't take original Sboulema & Crussader's work about their ICS-Styled SystemUI, but SystemUI & lidroid from XWLP8 wanam rom. That explain the missing features that you quoted.
I will try to do this later when I will have some more free time with pleasure !
Thanks mate, keep up the goodwork!
Some features you might want to consider in the future?
Transparency in the Statusbar
HTC One X recent apps

Ok I just checked out how to do this, but unforunately can't find anything interesting (XDA/Google). I guess it is related to SystemUI.apk, which I guess I successfully decompiled. I tried to see several files to check where but can't see where is the option to enable 6 toggle visible
And anway recompiling SystemUI failed, so I don't have the skill for this
If someone want help me, will add this function with pleasure !

you can try to copy the code on the previous version?
if not, you can always try to ask/pm Modders from the previous thread on how to do it.

Unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated anyway even if I found where, as I said, can't recompile SystemUI properly so it will not working.
I guess we have to live with this then. I really wanted to get this quick setting button access and 6 button toggle too
*edit*: ok I asked Sboulema via PM, waiting for his answer when he will have the time
Thanks for your mod, it's minimal, perfect for me!

It will works for any 4.0.3 samsung firmware but you will face this problem.
If you give me "SystemUI.apk" and "lidroid.apk" from an XWLP7 WanamLite ROM here, I can give a try to do it (unfortunately, I'm too lazy to download full 220+ MB rom just to grab those 2 files needed )
*edit* : finally, you are lucky because I still had XWLP7 of WanamLite ICS rom on my computer (forgot to delete it) so I'am working on it right now !
*edit 2* : Finished! grab your flashable ZIP on first post ! enjoy !
