Sounds like you haven't partitioned your SD card
Read the thread below to give you a better understanding
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731531
I had a look at it, and your right, didn't used my SD-card for a partiton, but saw I had modinstall, and seems to do the same job?

Nope. Mod install location only enables A2SD, it doesn't partition the SD for you
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
So the partition is just for creating more "internal" memory?

Use any file manager go to /sdcard/Android/data/ and delete com.trendyapp.dd or something like that. Can't remember the full name. Although when you uninstalled it the data should automatically be deleted. Hope this helps.

Another quick question for the ones smarter than me! I have all my downloaded songs on Pierson, on another ROM, however, sheet flashing a new ROM they didn't come with it. Is there any way to get them or am I just screwed?

Poweramp, not Pierson. Stupid Swype, lol.

If your music was on your sdcard then should still be there unless when u changed roms you formated the sdcard, do you have to add music to playlist with poweramp?
Sent from a htc desire z
I never use the playlist. It just shows the songs. I'm wondering if I went back to that backup and used titanium backup if they would come with it that way

If my music us on my sd card, I don't know where to find it.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Easiest way is to connect your phone to computer, usb mount it then search for *.mp3 on the sdcard, should be in a folder called media, how did u load your music did you just sync it?
Sent from a htc desire z
Yeah, just used a downloader and the music went straight to power amp.

Fairly sure its hiding on your sdcard then, download es file manager to have a look around your sdcard

Where might they be?

Hi!
I'm using Jelly MIUI ROM from hnkumar and I have a problem with media files.
Neither gallery nor music app are able to find my media files stored in my sd card so that's why I suspect it may be a problem with the media scanner.
Apparently I'm the only one with this problem cause no one else has reported this issue.
Any help or advice?
Thanks

Check if the folders containing media files have .nomedia files. If they are present, delete them

Already checked that and there were no .nomedia files in those folders but after flashing latest version of kangbang kernel, the problem was fixed.

Hi guys, I want to add a ringtone file which is a mp3 to ringtones list.. but it's not showing where ever I put sdcard/ringtones, notifications folder or sdcard/media/audio/notifications. Nothing's working. And I could not copy it to main system folder where all default ringtones r present. Wht to do?

Mp3 Ringtone Maker does the job for me.

Ringtones are stored in /system/media/audio/ringtones
You need to mount system as rewritable in order to add ringtones. Just look for the setting in your file explorer.
After paste an custom ring tone in your sd card, to start display this ring tone you should do this:
Go to Settings-Sounds-Phone ring tone and on top right corner of the screen, just below the clock you have a sign Add+. Tab on it and it will show you your custom ring tones you have on the sd card. Then just mark the one you want and in the future it will always be displayed in the original ring tone menu selection.
Regards.

Have you check your file browsers settings? What app are you even using?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
That add button shows only songs but not showing those files..I don't know y.. they r also mp3...
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Put it to /sdcard/ringtones/ and reboot, that way I got it to pop up in the ringtone list.
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda app-developers app
Tried in sdcard/ringtones , rebooted..still not showing up... Probably those mp3 files not compatible with phone? May be bit rate not supported? Any idea?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Cant you download zedge app. They have loads..less it's lesser known etc..
Failing that..just convert your file dude.there's loads of online converters maybe?and MP3 files aren't huge there are apps on pc that can change bit rate. Wouldn't take long
I've never known bit rate cause an issue..just crap sound lol

For me it works on /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones. I put them there and it finds them.

I just put it anywere on the sd and i can add it. Are you sure its mp3 and not wma?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I have always used the legacy method and it has never let me down. Put it in /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones/ then it should appear in the list
