Hi,
Could someone post a changelog of this version of the rom and any problems you have discovered from using it such as common 'gps' fault.
Thanks.
Oh new minor update?

Does this update really exist?
My Desire doesn't see it.
Did anyone receive it?
Didn't receive it, too!?
Which country is this update found? I don't have it.

Google search brings up nothing that looks relevant.

I wonder if this is a typo for 2.29.405.5... 5 is near the 8 on the numpad...
I found it on 'Shipped-Roms.com', but now it has been removed, must of been a mistake. Mods you can delete this topic, thanks.
It's on their test server - just gonna check it now so will report back in a bit
EDIT: Doesn't open - plus it's listed as file to update from 1.21.405.2 so guessing it's a typo

Just got notified of an available update on my desire (orange stock froyo)
The update is to 2.17.61.3, any ideas what this brings along? Only changes to the market pre-gingerbread?
/lys
Well, go for it and let us know what changed. I'm on 3, but it's always good to see what updates other people get.

Just got the update and nothing obvious has changed. The changelist displayed on the update only mentioned the market.
I'll see if I notice anything different with usage...
Is this update after the froyo update? Usually market updates are done silently without the user even being asked about it. Check your software version is it 2.2? Or have you been updated to 2.2.1?
Still 2.2 but the build number is different. It was a small 4mb update.

I just made the update too, can't say I have noticed anything new!

Bump

No point bumping, it's just a few small bug fixes...not a lot added to the main OTA that went out before
Ok cheers for that.

Last version of google maps keep loosing gps lock, after 2-3 minutes gps connection dropping.. When trying another navigation system, everything is fine.. Anyone has a same? Thanks

Yep same here, thought I was going mad.tried another app and no fix issues, so must be google. Was considering a reinstall off the app but haven't got round too it yet.
What Rom are you using? Google navigation doesn't work on AOSP roms. It's something to do with how information is sent from the GPS to the software. HTC fixed this somehow with sense. But as yet Cyanogen and derivatives haven't. It's what's keeping me using sense based roms for now. :s

The only info ive been able to find has come from this page HERE
Its not just MIUI thats affected, its all AOSP roms. As i said earlier HTC have fixed it with sense, but they arent sharing
Try a sense rom and you'll see what i mean
I cant for the life of me work out which files i need to pull from sense for the fix.
There's a fix mentioned over in the Inspire forums HERE but i couldnt get it to work. It has something to do with "gps.spade.so" at least thats the file thats been mentioned mostly.
Too bad, love my miui rom.. Thanks a lot for respond

I'm on black ice, never seen this before and used to use CM 7.1 and MIUI on my old desire without flaw. perhaps installing an older version of google maps maybe a work around?
I'll try to find older version of google maps.. Thanks..

Found the answer on the CM forums (sorry can't find the link) the problem seems to be related to the AGPS data on the phone. Download GPS test from the market and in settings clear AGPS. Start google nav and everything should be ok...
This worked for me, hopefully the same will apply for you

Title says it all really, I haven't recieved a notification for pm's or subscribed topics since the update when they added the thanks button.
Anyone else have this problem or is it just me as I haven't found many topics about it and the ones I did find didn't really lead anywhere.
never use them sorry.
Finally fixed with the new update, there's also many new features in the new update so if you haven't spotted it yet go download the new xda app from the market.............

Note: After this software update, an application update will be pushed to the device with a GPS patch. Please complete this application update to ensure the best possible GPS experience.
Here is a link to the files which the patch updated.
**THIS IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP!**
You'll have to overwrite existing files with these and change permission.
In case you're having issues with the update, here are the files.

I didn't have that feature until camera got updated, so you might want to check play store for updates.

I went to the HTC Camera app in the playstore . It said not compatibl . Is there something wrong with the phone ?
That's odd mate. The feature is still in beta, so maybe perhaps they made ir available for a limited time and then pulled it. I don't know... It's nothing great, though... as of right now it's still kinda rough so you're not missing anything. If you want it no matter what I could upload the apk and post the link.
