(Q)clicking on bootup....

Everytime I reboot my phone; recovery,or power on.right after the splash screen, I hear a small clicking sound....does anybody know what this is?and how worried about this should I be? Thanks for any help,I really appreciate it..

Is it seperate from your vibrate motor? When I boot my phone, my vibrate motor runs for a second. Just a thought.

Probably just your camera, mine does the same thing but it is barely noticeable

I do here the same sound when I access my cam bit it not as loud as when the phone reboots.....so this isn't a problem then? and thanks guys for the help....will thank officially when I hey to a computer.

Most of my File sharing Apps are faster like Facebook, Instagram, etc. But One thing is I have never had to buffer a youtube video

yep, except when your at the menu of messaging where you see a list of people you've talked and the conversation its just white thats about it

Its a little bit of the same, instead of swiping and it fades away it has a neat Lock and you can swipe for diagonal or side to side to unlock it! I can take you step by step right now if you want to flash it

I Got the official one and then rooted it, But you should use Jayjokers, His removes bloatware, its comes with the Xda Premium app and has a few customized things like blue wifi icon and signals i already setup everyone on mine i would get his but its a pain tranfering everything

Right, But its Funny Everyone has said they got problems and bugs and stuff right? I did when i first flashed it but i messed up 5 times haha im not joking but the 5 time i did i got everything setup on my phone and i've never had it crash or one problem with it, infact my keyboard light goes on for 1 minute then turns off, i don't know what i did

Screen wake up on is own

Hi everyone, I have a brand new Galaxy S3... I have installed some apk from the net and now my screen wake up on is own even when i calling and thats a problem becouse if habe it in your poket and touch the screen you can end the call. The second reason it's the battery life, so you have some idea of the softare that give trouble? Or maybe it's a bug of the system... I dont know

Are you getting texts? Stock mms can turn screen on.

Happens to me once in awhile. Screen just decides to pop on with no notifications or anything.

Ive had this happen in phone calls when im using Bluetooth earpiece.

No TEXT, nothing strange at all for this I was thinking at some sort of external APK

And please tell me English isn't your first language? Because trying to read your post makes my head hurt.
Try a factory reset. If that doesn't fix your issue, then take it to Sprint and return it for being defective.

Not while stock, you would need to root and either flash a custom rom that has it baked in or flash the modded messaging app that's floating around the dev. Section.

Phone it's already lock but the problem was solve only when i erase a app that I forgot to mention... ANTI MOSQUITO SOUND REPELLER
I delete it and the problem simpli is gone

Questions About Settings

I can't for the life of me find the setting that controls text commands. Where you send a text to your phone like #alarm# and your phone goes off. I found it before but now I can't find it.

Pretty sure you need an app for that..

That sounds like the app "Where's My Droid" If you lose your phone you can text it a special code that you made and it will sound an alarm or it will show you where your phones at on Google maps.

It was in the settings and it disappeared or something after I flashed an upgrade but the feature is this there. Try texting yourself #alarm# and your phone will go off. I didn't have an app. My phone will still respond to the commands but I no longer have a way of changing the settings.

I just tried it and all i got was a text. No alarm went off.

That's so weird. My phone will set off an alarm. I wish I could show you guys. Try #lock#. Make sure you use the # symbol.

There are no built-in text commands. Not on stock ICS, Touchwiz ICS, or Jellybean.

I didn't say you were. But give it a Google. I did and nothing came up and there was nothing in the press release or unveiling of the S3 that showed any of these features. And they sure don't exist on my phone.. or anyone else's here..

Lol I know, I'm questioning my own sanity at this point. I googled and googled and nothing came up. Our phones can be controlled remotely through Samsung dive. Does anyone have an original firmware S3? I remember the menu looking exactly like the motion settings with toggle switches and about 5 commands.

[Q] how do you turn off music volume warning?

Hey does any of you guys know how do I turn off the warning when I turn the volume up? It's getting quite annoying.. thanks in advance.

The volume warring is a horrible feature, I'm trying to think of why it needs to popup every time. This must have been included for liability reasons.
My problem is that my headphones don't exactly sit close to ear with my helmet on, so they're too quite. Then I can't always grab my phone and close out the warning while I'm riding.
The only solution I've found for this problem is to install a different rom, I am using ReVolt right now. You can disable the warning in the sound settings.

I also would like to know. I want to disable the toast after setting an app as default as well. It's super annoying.

This one's done. WOrking on the toast volume thing.

If you're rooted, you can try Xposed Framework. It's the best. Not only can you remove the warning, there is so much more to customize.

I don't think that will work. T-Mobile uses a toast instead of the normal window. So im not sure if that will work. Can give it a shot. I almost have it removed though.

Here you go guys. no more toast when you turn up volume. No more window when you select a default app.

It actually does work. Any idea how to kill the clear defaults prompt? Samsung must think we're idiots to have that pop up every time always is selected.

Its a bunch of smali edits lol. And no it won't change anything else just the volume thinger. But i did notice i used MY files which have a volume levels mod in them. I didnt realize i was in the wrong directory. So you will have a lot more volume ssteps. I will fix it tonight though

Bleh, TouchJiz is affecting the volume steps mod. Go listen to music, and start the volume at low, and slowly increment the volume up to max one step at a time. It will get louder then go back to really quite, and then get louder again

Has anyone tried this on Canadian Videotron /Wind version ? Can I flash this without any risk of brick lol
I really want to turn this annoying popup that block the volume when using headphone buttons I have to take out the phone from pocket unlock the click ok. What kind of stupid Developer this :S

If it's the same hardware then it should work. If it doesn't work it will just not boot. To fix that just flash your ROM or restore the original framework.jar file.
