Hi Guys,
Having an issue whereby I change my Notification Sounds to some custom sounds, then for no reason and without the phone even being rebooted, it will revert back to default sounds after maybe 2 or 3 messages being received.
Any ideas?

Hi,
All of a sudden since yesterday morning, my notification sounds have gone mute. Be it a message or any push notification, I just don't get a sound. Have tried changing the sounds, checked all volume settings, restarted and tried a soft reset also.
None of this has worked. Can anyone help me what to do now and how to restore my notification sounds. It's really giving me a lot of grief.
just try to data wipe/reset factory and install a new rom..
Just got my brand new AT&T Galaxy S III today. I love the phone so far. Right now, the phone is completely stock.
One thing that isn't working correctly is the vibration, most specifically for GMail. I use the Vibrate profile the most since I go to school and would like notifications in class without any sounds. I like the stock "Heartbeat" vibration pattern, so I selected it. When I get new mail, it uses the default "Basic Call" vibration pattern, which I dislike. Although HeartBeat is selected, it uses the Basic Call pattern. I thought it was a GMail issue, so I checked the settings in there, but no luck. I've also rebooted the phone numerous times.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this question. But, my text message notification ringtone suddenly stopped working. The phone vibrates when i get a text message but no sound. Which means im missing all my text messages. All other sounds seem to be working. This is happening with both the stock HTC messaging app and hangouts.
I've tried different ringtones, I've rebooted and it works for the first text message then stops.
Im using Santod's stock 6 sense rom.
Anyone have any ideas?

In the stock messaging app go to settings>Notifications and see if "play notification sound" is checked. Then in notification sound set it to the preferred sound and see if that works.
If all else fails do a clean install of the rom and you should be good to go. I am currently running the same Rom and on first boot my ringtone in sound settings was set to silent.

Thanks for the reply, everything is turned on as you suggested. I even changed the ringtone back to a HTC ringtone thinking one of my custom ringtones was causing the problem. But no change. I was trying to avoid the reset but i guess that's my only option.
Hi,
I have an odd problem where I have lost call sound notification and vibration. It just doesn't ring anymore. The odd thing is that if I go into settings, I can set volumes there and they do sound when scrolling the intensity bar. However, if I do via the volume button, they are all at full level but when you slide the bars for each sound, it does not ring.
Any suggestions or idea on what is causing this and how to get notification sound and vibration back? Will performing fix permission on this rooted phone fix it?
Are you stock or using a custom rom?
Flash back to stock.
That's the fix.

Hi,
I am on stock rom. Phone is only rooted. Would like to fix the call and notification issue without reseting the phone and is why I posted.
You can reflash without wiping or resetting phone, a dirty flash, as long as it's the same rom. This should fix your problem.

Hey Guys!
I need help! with something on the settings of the phone that is making me bald.
Recently my Note10+ updated to the official OTA Android 11+ One UI 3.0. So far so good!
After that, I did a factory reset on it for a fresh app install... all that done with no hassle.
Now when changing the notification sound in the phone settings from the default Spaceline sound to the one I wanted all went well except for Whatsapp.
No matter what I do, whenever a message comes in, it always sounds the phone's default spaceline tone.
I've done everything I know from changing the notification sound by going to in-app settings, to the phone settings.... EVEN putting the in-app notification sounds to silent to no avail. It still keeps sounding the phone's default spaceline tone. What I am doing wrong? Please please, can anyone help me? I am so frustrated!

Go Settings > Apps
Search for the app you're wanting to change the sound on.
Open the app and click on Notification.
Select which notification you want to choose to change. You can toggle each one on or off and you can change from Silent to Alert and then change the Alert type and sound.
Hope this helps
