Hi,
I just flashed the latest MIUI on my DInc. On my old ROM I had the Wireless Tether app and it worked fine. With this ROM there is an option of "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot". I can get it to connect to my laptop but my laptop shows limited or no connectivity. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this?
Here's my phone info:
Android version - 2.3.5
Baseband version - 2.15.00.09.01
Kernel version - 2.6.36.6-cyanogenmod+
Build number MIUI-109230
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
Same issue here. I am using 10/1 incredikernel. Can't even get the old wireless tether.apk to work either.
Hopefully someone can help us out here. I installed the barnacle wifi tether app and it works fine, but i'd still like to know what causing my problem with the portable wifi hotspot.

Anyone else having auto screen rotation issues with their Note 8.0 - N5110?? Started acting up a few weeks ago...Tried performing a full wipe and removing some of the apps which I read could affect it like multiwindow manager and still no luck??
I am running 4.2.2 CivZ_FlexBeam Rev 1.3 Rom with CivZ StormCharger Rev 1.2 Kernal .

I ran some apps to test gyroscope functionality and it it is off/not functioning...Is there some way to recalibrate on the N5110?

-LG G Pad 8.3 with LG's custom interface OS
-Android version 4.4.2
-Kernel version 3.4.0
-Build number KOT49I.V50020d
-Software version V50020d
-No Root
I can't use GPS, the satellites don't fix... With Google maps I've only indication of position by wifi, and in apps such Gps Tools, that indicates the gps fix and the satellites, no trace of those.
Suggestions?

Using sensors only, all GPS applications are showing Waiting for proper GPS signal.
With Wifi turned on all working well.

I'm having the same problem. GPS does does not fix and have the same config. I only managed to get signal from two sattelites and one GLONASS. Using my phone (razr I) I got signal from 5/6 sattelites. Does anyone have any idea? I tried GPS Status and other apps... nothing worked. Factory reset will be my last attempt before trying things like custom rom (which I do not prefer to do now) or replacement.
I know this is very old thread but I have the same problem. With custom rom it works fine.
Even with faster gps and gps status it won't fix. Anyone found a solution?

Hello. I installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 official version and, unfortunately, GPS does not work at all . I tried various programs such as Automap, Sygic but in general there was no GPS signal ..
What should I do? I really like CyanogenMod (it's fast, it has a nice interface) and I do not want to go back to KitKat. I have to have a navigation in my job.
have you tried keeping data on while you're at it?
I installed viperonem8 on my htc after experiencing bootloop issues last year but now google maps no longer works unless I go back to version 9.34. Then if I use Android Auto it forces maps to update even if updates are disabled. So, I'm looking for a different rom that works with maps and AA. Any suggestions?
