Are there any themes out there that have a "night mode" option that you can toggle on/off (like you can with google sky map) when using your phone in the dark? It would be nice not to be blinded after responding to a text when out at night.

hmmm, I don't know about themes but I know cyanogenMod has RenderFX so you can change the values of pixels to certain color. (like change everything to shades of red)
Probably doesnt help, but i figured i would toss that out there
Why not get a widget like switchpro and turn down the brightness ...or do it for free in the settings menu.

Hey Guys! Well here my situation. I really like this phone and it's features and would buy it in a heartbeat IF the accessibility settings could accommodate me.
I am visually impaired and was wondering what the accessibility settings are for the visually impaired? On the iphone there's this setting for "white on black" which makes the background for the apps black and the font white. Others call it night mode? I need background to be black and fonts white on the web browser. If you guys could check on the for me it would be nice. Thanks.
Android has some Talkback functionality (not sure what that is) and large font options, but I did not see any reverse colors option sadly. If you need it for all apps, then that might be tough to find, but maybe there are some web browsers or somesuch that support this.
I've searched a lot for this and did not find anything. I would like to change the colors on the note 2 email apk. This is, to have a white background with black text. Is there a moded apk or a way of doing this? Can anybody explain it to me, please?

I read somewhere that there are 2 different themes for different gnote 2 versions. you can try googling it for the apk. What drives me crazy though, is that the screen dims significantly when I open the mail app, does that happen to you? going back to home screen or opening the mail settings restores the brightness. In mail itself, it goes dark, too dark to read I think.
Brightess is just fine, no diming problems.

to resolve the issue with display brightness in stock e-mail app: go to settings / power-saving - and disable "background color" option (change background color to save power in internet) - this will affect both the native browser AND the e-mail app (don't ask me how is e-mail also "internet"... )
There is an option under settings > accessibility, which allows you to 'invert colours'. Select this. Give it a go. White backgrounds will become black and vice versa.

I am after the same help!
This is a massive PITA for me coming form an iPhone where everything was easy to read. Why Samsung needed a black background and grey text is beyond me?
EDIT:
My bad: I forgot how to I did it the first time: http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s5-accessibility-options
Accessibility settings:
One just has to activate "Direct Access" and select "invert colors" as the function that should be done when pressing the home button 3 times.
So you can invert the colours on the Tab S ??
John.
Yes and as it is OLED it consumes less power on dark screens
I wish the invert function had an option to limit inversion to white backgrounds and black text as I despise the "snow blind" effect of Lollipop and the new TouchWiz settings. Unfortunately this feature in its current form makes any other colors but black/white hideous. Oh well, half way there.

Anybody know a way to toggle Light/Dark mode on an individual app basis without root?
I personally like have my navigation drawer a in dark mode, but that means setting the dark mode globally in the display settings. However, there are many apps I don't like in dark mode such as Google Keep and Google Photos. But I can't seem to find a local setting to change those back to light mode.
Before ONE UI 3.0 was possible to use Edge Lighting with the screen totally off. Now each time edge lights the screen tries to wake up. Why??
This is annoying and battery consuming.
Another problem is that now is not possible to use Edge Lighting in different colours for different apps. For example, I would like to use green for Whatsapp, red for Gmai, blue for Telegram and so.
It's still possible. It's just harder to find the setting. In general setting do a serach for "edge" and you will find it. There you will find the setting for both app-controlled colors and "screen-off"

Ok, thanks. I got it. At least my screen doesn't wake up each time a notifications arrives and only the Edge lights.
On the contrary I don't know if it is possible to use different colours for different apps. When I look inside Colours in Edge settings and I touch on "colours for app" nothing happens.
Strange... this is how it looks for me and colors per app works. However, I can't find any setting what color to use... it sets itself (by icon?)

Exactly, this is what I mean. Although I touch over the white icon "colour for apps" nothing happens.
Maybe you're right and the colour for the Edge selects itself in function of the colour of its app icon.
