I think you need to install a rom that has this ability cooked in. I am not a CM user, so I cannot tell you for sure.
BTW, I am moving this to Q&A.

You don't. WiMAX hasn't been merged with CM officially yet therefore you have to use the WiMAX CM Alpha ROM located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902051
I downloaded the Google apps, ROM, and the kernel. It wouldn't boot when i flashed it...but the ROM does work

So I was having problems with CM6 rc2 screwing up my home and search buttons and they wouldnt work.
So from reccomendation I flashed to the latest nightly. Well now I'm on the latest nightly I rebooted my phone to fix a sms problem and now the buttons aren't working again.
What do I do?
Is there a better rom then cm6? or is there a more stable nightly that's better then RC-2?
Rc 2 is the most stable. U have to wipe cache and the drive.. Nightlies are not for users who need a stable rom

See and everyone told me the issue I'm having is standard with the RC-2 so that's why I flashed it.
Does anyone know what could be causing this problem I'm having?
Did you file a bug report on the issue tracker? Might want to start there. Or hop on #CyanogenMod on Freenode.

I'm on sacs Rom currently so I'm not sure but does anyone know if the Wimax update on calks thread is necessary. I also switch between calks and sacs hd roms so if the update is necessary, is it also necessary for calks roms?

If you mean the newest radio then yes....probably a good idea to always have the latest radio.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
radio's are ROM independent so if possible and they work for you (not a promise newer radios will work better for your device) upgrade them as they are available

so anytime i try to use the market or send a mms msg i get the error of "the process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." this is on a g2 with cm7 rc3.
first of all rc3 is sooooooo old.... download either cyanogens latest mod by going to rom manager->download rom->cyanogenmod 7.0.3 ->downoad->and check google apps... oh and wipe everything.....
OR even better download htcclay's SuperCM7 by downloading wiping and flashing this....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076691
that'll fix it my friend..
Does anyone have the newest rom manager install file since I can't update it on my phone?

if there was a device profile for you guys id compile nightlies for ya, however im not gunna take each nightly and edit it after compiling for use with us cellular, sorry i dont have that kind of time. if you had a device profile like this https://github.com/EpicCM/android_device_samsung_epic4gtouch then i could merge it in and add it to my build script, would take it maybe 20 mins extra to make it :/
my suggestion is to get a modified device repo going and then you could have a from source build
Downloading 6/19... so I just flash this straight over 6/18 from recovery? Should I wipe everything beforehand????

Looks like the nightly is done uploading. ~35 downloads while the md5 was still changing (good half a dozen were mine) ;-)
Sorry if I ask this....might be common knowledge, oh well. I'm on 6-18 nightly atm, if I want to update to 6-19 (I'm already using goo.im from the play store, and already dl the rom) can I just use the included safe CW from 6-18 to flash? If so, After flashing do I need to do anything else? Thanks again for the help..

Also there is this kexec bootable stock ROM. It allows you to temporarily boot to stock FC09 from your SD card, where you can do prl updates and activate. Then upon reboot, your CM ROM will be unchanged (short of the prl updates or activation)

If I recall correctly, this only works for CM9 based roms and lower. It won't work with CM10 based roms due to the MTD partition resizing between the two major versions.

Nope, they fixed it for 10 and 10.1. I just used it last night on 10.1 to update my prl. The new version is cleaner on the SD card as well. Nicely self contained in the multiboot folder, instead of all over the card.

Thanks. I was hoping to multiboot this as a daily driver, but no USB storage is critical, and I heard it can't be used along with TWRP also... Bailing out
