I was updating fruit ninja and for some reason it got to 21% and then just stopped, after trying to reinstall it, it worked but now the previous one is still there and it still stays there after i reboot, and when i press on it, it just takes me to the apps i currently have in the market.
Im confused on what to do.
Thanks in advance

Un-install, and then download again. OR first did you try to clear the cache from the application menu? I had it happen too, and un-installing worked for me.

Hi
I use Modaco 3.1 which has been stable on my Desire for a long time.
Suddenly, yesterday, Market stopped working (I am in UK). I can see market apps, I can purchase apps and I get notification of updates, but when I try to download, I get 'Starting Download' after which nothing happens. Is there a Market problem? If not, how do I start to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks.
PS - happens on wireless LAN or mobile internet.
How long do you wait before giving up?
Even now, sometimes (at random) it'll take a good while before it starts to download on mine. Have you left it "attempting", for say, an hour?

You haven't recently updated your Gmail account from googlemail to gmail by any chance?
It happens to me sometimes... if it stucks, turn off your wifi on phone, and than turn it on, it will start downloading immediately
Thanks all
I have waited 30 mins. I have restarted phone until blue in the face. ALl other internet services are fine.
Think I'll have to reflash
Tried going to application settings, click on market and then clear the data.

As I said did you change your gmail account on the PC recently? This effects it and requires you to re-run the setup
Clearing market cache fixes this for me when it happens every now and then.

You might also like to check that you are signed in to GTalk (Talk application) as this is inextricably linked to Market.

Dave
I found when I had a low disk space warning that I had your exact symptoms.
I also couldn't get any push email from google.

I having some issues too, but for me it's only on WiFi i get the "starting download" hang.

When you have low diskspace warning, it won't let you install anything and also not receive any e-mails, delete apps till the warning disappears and all should be fine (this is probably the main reason everyone is waiting for froyo)
Android Market problem
Hi,
I have rooted Desire running stock ROM 1.15.405.4. with app2sd. I have a problem with downloading apps and updates from the Market. The app starts to download and then it just hangs. I have no low memory warning. I have read in some forums that clearing cache in Settings>Applications>Manage Applications can help. But unfortunately whenever I try to start Manage Applications it is forced quit so I can't clear that Market cache.
Any suggestions please?
Also I'd like to upgrade to stock ROM 1.21 (rooted) with app2sd (without needing to re-install all my apps). Obviously it is not possible to upgrade via OTA. Any suggestions for this?
thanks for advice
I'm having market problems now too for the past day or two where it's stuck on "starting download...".
I'm running Modaco 3.1 as well with APPS2SD+ which was working fine!
1) My account was always Gmail so I haven't changed that.
2) I have signed into Talk fine and it all works including Gmail notifications working too
3) I have cleared the market cache
4) I let it attempt to download for over 12 hours - still didn't start.
5) Tried to reflash the ROM (without wipe) still nothing.
Any other suggestions or should I just total wipe and reinstall?

why would you do that? If it stucks, do this:
-turn wifi off
-turn wifi on
it will start immediately
this is definitely not working for me...
I'm having problem running the Game Nova by Gameloft on my Sprint Evo. I install it on my phone, Then it took me to screen where it could download the files. After it was finish, I click continue and the screen closed. And went back to my Home Screen. Could someone please help me to get it up and running??? Thank YOu
are you using the latest version of the game..the old version used to do that to me
Have you tried opening it again after that? Sounds like you gave up after it closed once. Try that and let us know if it gives an error before it quits this time. Mine has always worked great and I've had it for over a month.
Same thing here... tried downloading again. Uninstall and reinstall. Nothing makes it work.
I had rooted with **UPDATED X 3** Notion Ink Adam (Root + Market + Adhoc) and all was going great! Market worked and was loving it, UNTIL... I downloaded Google Earth. Everything went nuts, and went into a boot loop.
Did the unbrick, then factory wipe/reset, then Notion ink update, then reapplied the above, and now Market runs but refuses to download anything. Tried Force stop clear data, then Google Services Framework force stop, clear data, rebooted still didn't work.
Redid all the above AGAIN and this time loaded EdenX, SAME PROBLEM! Why won't Market download? I am logged in correctly, it sees my paid for apps, but fails on download.
Side loading works, but NOTHING through Market.
I'm baffled! Please help!
Thanks.

The android market just gives me that striped animation anytime I try downloading an app. Have tried clearing the market cache, google framework service cache nothing seems to work! Just the new EU firmware OTA and rooted and removed the bloat apps and downloaded script manager from the market without any problems. Then tried to download a busybox app...thats when the market just stuck on the stripped animation and its been that way with everything else I've tried from the market incuding updates to my apps. Please any help guys??

Done a restart ?
If it does not help: Because you are rooted, you should be able to delete the Android Market. You can get the AndroidMarket.apk from the net and reinstall it(Unknown Sources have to be checked). But before doing something fancy, you should do a BACKUP, with CWM or RZR.

Yeah several restarts. Just got an update, it appears the youtube app also gets stuck with the rotating circle...cant load the video. Cant help but assume these are related. And also I've tried this on both wifi and 3G, same.

This is strange indeed. If even the solution above doesn't help, I would recommend you to flash you ROM via ODIN. Usually it should replace the missing files, so this could work. Do a Backup as mentioned above.
BTW: But generally your internet works? (via Browser)

Yes my internet works fine. I actually cant do anything requiring a usb cable since I lost mine and wont be getting a new one till the weekend maybe. I actually tried some other things like clearing the cache partition in recovery (stock) and logging out of gTalk and relogging in which solved similar problems for people online. Just seems everything is fine...except the market cant connect and download stuff, and youtube cant connect and load videos...I feel its a google account problem surely but dont have a clue what to do. Thanks for your response all the same.
First......Ensure SD Card is properly seated, open phone and make sure of this!!!
Do these :
Settings/Applications/Manage
Applications/All/
Downloads/Clear Data.
Media Storage/Clear Data....

I cant quite explain what happened, but I fixed it. It had to do with a botched backup/uninstall of google books with TB. I tried to back it up but it seemed to just hang up. Then I killed TB in the Task Manager and restarted it. I realised a backup had been made for the older version(1.46) instead of the new version(1.52). Google Books showed up as a system app after my last FW upgrade and I updated it (through the market) but the update made the app unusable(FC everytime I start it). I ignored all that at the time since I didnt use it actually. Tried to remove it yesterday and I guess that set this whole mess in motion. Thanks to all
Hi.
I've tried it in several ways but I can't install this game on the Mi 10T Pro (Battle Bay)... At the end I get a notification from the play store saying that it was not possible to install the game. Doesn't say why ... I have the same problem on another xiaomi: Mi Note 10 Lite.
Does anyone have any solution for this problem? Thanks in advance!

No ... I bought the cell phone a few days ago. I've tested it with several games and apps and they all installed correctly. So do I have to unlock bootloader?

No, unlocking bootloader would make more stuff not working, such as netflix etc... Try clearing play store data, restarting phone and trying again, maybe it's an error on their end...

I did it ... same thing. In the meantime I can install everything I've tried so far. How should I clear the play store data? Just in phone settings? Or should I do something in the app?

I did that process 3 times but with no results... When the installation starts, ask for access authorizations ... after that the screen turn black and start a small white outline in a corner of the screen but it stop immediately and freez.

Well not normally, but games tend to ask way too much permissions...
Good news!
I finally managed to install the game. After talking to a friend who had an identical problem on an iphone, I did the following: I signed in to google play on the PC; I looked for the game (Battle Bay); where it says "installed" I loaded and the various mobile phones I had and the new Mi10t Pro appear; I selected it and after 1min I received the installation on the mobile phone which took place normally.
