[Q] Abnormal slow 3G internet speeds - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Lately 3G internet speeds have been slower than usual. I tried updating the profile, PRL, factory reset, and the h t t p proxy fix and nothing has worked. What are my options? Is this happening to anyone else?
I am running the latest Fresh Evo, PRI is 1.77, I tried updating everything, and a factory reset.

My 3g as of lately has been horrible as well. I even unrooted, didn't help a bit. Its been over a week and sprint claims everything is working on their end.

join the club man. every1 on here, well not every1, but many, is experiencing slower speeds. rumors say it's due to their "big announcement" tonight and others say it's just how their network is handling all the new network traffic w/ the evo and evo shift.
sucks though. i get up at 5:30am. speeds fly till 9/10am, then I am hosed till the night time. that in the long island/manhattan area anyway. YMMV...

I'm in Rhode Island at school...and sometimes I switch the CM7 with WiMax to download torrents, and get the limited speeds, depending on the time of day as well. Really early in the day or late at night you get the optimum, for obvious reasons.

i live in the in Portland, OR... get no 4G signal, even outside, 3G speeds are so bad that i can't even stream a crappy 64Kbps stream without experiencing glitches every 10 seconds. the only solution is WiFi, which Evo can get a good stable connection only in 70% of the house (got Linksys Cisco E4200 router which is AMAZING, but i got a big house so, lol)
i know everything is actually working because as soon as go for a drive around downtown i get ideal 4G (3.2Mbps down) AND 3G (1.5MBps down) speeds!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Hopefully Sprint fixes everything out soon with all the Evo people probably complaining to them. It sucks. I want an app in the market and it takes decades. Even Google or Facebook Mobile (not the app) take a good bit of time.

New Evo in Baltimore & a question

Got my Evo today - what fun! Its my very first smartphone and so far I think its great. With 4 bars on 3G I get 2.0-2.4 mbps down. With 1 bar on 4G I get about the same speed. I'll need to hunt around and see how 4G signal strength varies with position. My neighbor 1 block away gets at least 4 mbps. I guess this variability is the nature of Sprint's WiMax network?
I've seen lots of posts with people reporting statistics on time spent on/off, awake/asleep, amount of data downloaded, what apps are using what resources, etc. What tool does one use to collect this information?
You can get some information through the about phone; up time, awake time, battery use etc etc.
As far as the 4G, I think it's more of it being such a new network. Was just out back taking a breather and I can get 1 bar of 4G. 2-4 Mb pretty consistently ... sometimes it drops, pulled in 5 on a couple speedtests. The 3G though, it's weird because I'm lucky if I can even get 2 Mb. Dunno though, gotta assume the stability of the 4G will only get better. Figure I'm right on the brink even though the coverage map appears to have it bleeding out past me. In time I suppose.
Baltimore is the oldest (and I assume most built-out) 4G market area that Sprint has in the US. I was able to connect to 4G on the first day I had the Evo. Then did the OTA update. I've been unable to connect to 4G ever since. I switch the 4G radio on and wait, the icon at the top of the screen always says 3G. Am I doing something wrong? Is there somewhere else where I need to enable 4G? Anyone else having trouble accessing 4G since the OTA update?
I have also been having some problems with my 4g. I had no problems with 4g until the update.

Curious, 4G still works with my phone after the OTA.
I see B-More has been up since 2008 or something? First city! Whoa. But strange none the less. Your buddy, whom you referenced in the original post, still able to connect?
I've had my EVO in Baltimore since Launch Day - have not done the OTA yet (rooted) and my 4G was working fine until this morning. Wonder if there is some sort of outage today.
All I get is Scanning -> Connecting to Sprint -> Obtaining IP -> Scanning.
This has happened in Baltimore and Annapolis.
Also, I have hit 5mbps download near the Beltway and I-95.
Dude!? Where in Bmore? I'm over in Ellicott City and I get maybe 600kbps on 3g or 1200 in Samsclub Catonsville and at BWI...
4000-5000 on 4g
Oddly though I've been getting "network connection lost" and google maps just stops and refuses to download any tiles. Pandora freezes too...
You started having these problems today?
I've searched the web and this seems to be the only place that 4G problems have been reported in Baltimore.
Also, are you pre or post OTA?

I'm downtown. This morning (7/2) I checked (outdoors) near Camden Yards and at the Inner Harbor. No 4G. Maybe its just coincidence that there's a network problem just after the OTA? I'll keep checking....
So, I called Sprint. As expected, they claimed maintenance in my "neighborhood". As I mentioned above, I've been in Baltimore and Annapolis today with no 4g. I have a hard time believing that they took out the whole area for maintenance. However, he did claim that it should be back up by 7pm.
I'm in Ellicott City and get about 4.5 on 4G and 600-1.0 on 3G.
I work right on the edge of the 4G coverage (Clarks Ace Hardware) so I'm usually at 1-2 bars. If I go 1 block east I get full reception, but if I go 100ft. west it completely drops 4G (route 144 & 40).
Checked for 4G connectivity this morning (inside my brick rowhouse, near the baseball stadium in Baltimore). I've got a weak 4G signal again - and measured 4 mbps bandwidth down. Good enough for me. I'll take some more measurements around town and see if there's any place with a stronger signal.
I spent the whole day yesterday at the harbor, 4G never connected once. Fail :/
Went to Sprint at Inner Harbor. They were getting 2 bars of 4G in the store, and I was getting none. The tech there noticed that I had turned off the "Location" switch (which allows GPS to update applications of phone's location). I did that because I didn't want GPS radio on all the time (save battery), and because I thought it would give me a bit more privacy. Tech said for 4G to work at its best - need to turn Location -ON. Reluctantly I turned it on, and now I'm consistently getting 1 or 2 bars of 4G around the Baltimore downtown area, with 3.8 - 4.5 mbps bandwidth down.
SO - in order to use that battery hogging 4G radio, one needs to turn on yet another battery sucking radio? Wow - are others in 4G markets finding that 4G works better with GPS on and Location on? Or was that tech just grasping for straws...?
i've always had the gps on. no luck
interesting! Don't know if any of you have tried sensorly map... kinda sweet... it signal strength maps 4G and 3g and 1xrtt via crowdsourcing... and lets you compare coverage btw sprint/att/vzw/tmob...
But I'm worried how accurate it is due to several issues:
...
1) I contributed data and never saw the map update
2) data will be skewed as GPS needs to be ON for map to work - so it should report better 4g coverage than actually exists AND
3) Most people who contributed seemed to be wardriving (or just leaving it on while driving)... and from what I've read wimax isn't that good at mobile or handoffs...
If it is accurate... this is not going to be a fun 2 years... SPRINT coverage looks like ****! even compared to tmob...
Any input from anyone smarter?
btw - I'm moving to a boat down in inner harbor... anyone have any results from the water?
I'm wondering how accurate it is too. Wasn't there some kind of radio problem with 4g not connecting? Wouldn't that skew the results?

so im in downtown baltimore (otterbein area, right off the inner harbor), and both my wife and i just got evo's on friday. neither of us can get a 4g signal anywhere, unless we're standing literally across the street from the sprint store in the inner harbor. is this usual? is there some kind of outage right now? sprint was entirely useless when i called tech support, and i got transferred around about 11 times before being told they'll look into it and call me back tomorrow.

Make an appointment to speak with a tech at the Inner Harbor store - sounds like there's something wrong with your phone or settings. Coverage in downtown Baltimore can vary a lot with location. I'm in Ridgely's Delight (less than a mile from you) - and I've been getting between 3.5 and 5.0 mbps down.

How to improve 3G?

Hey guys I have had my Evo for awhile now and Sprints network has great coverage BUT the 3g seems abysmally slow. For instance, I can rarely stream videos without it buffering - youtube videos on regular quality mind you. If I stand still in a place with good signal I will be fine but if I'm moving etc it is slow. I get around 100KB/s during daytime where I live and 130KB/s night time which is great but luckily I also get full signal where I am. On the go, it sucks.
Are there any ways to increase 3g speeds or is it purely network related?
Welcome to sprints idea of 3g
God's honst truth man... if thats all you get... thats all you are going to get because sprints 3g network is the worst i have ever seen. Bar none. Even little us cellular has better coverage and twice the data speeds as sprint does here in iowa.
There is no possible way for the phine or any hack to it to speed up sprints crap network.
My advise to you is to cqll sprint and plead your case, that you paid for 3g and are getting 1x rtt speeds 24/7 and politely demand a credit to your account like i do every month.
And then call back about 5 minutes later and ask to speak to the retention center because you want to cancel your service because you arpe not getting service you are paying for.
Then tell the retention persion you were thinking of getting the Airave but cant afford it and see if they will give it to you free on the basis of poor service and they typically will.
I did, and got one for when i am at work and the boss wont let me use it because it uses works internet for voice and data.

Figures... Should have went with ATT or Verizon.
I know in the old days of 3g internet hacks Sanyo phones had a data cap screen that was accessible via ##040793##. From there you could change the data rate, 144K/230K. Not sure if we have the same here but phone codes may be a place to start.
Mmmmhmmm. Just be glad you don't have the epic and are capped at 150kbps up.
I think sprint has finally gotten 2 good phones and 4g, so now they think they're the top dog and can do whatever they damn well please...it's like a cycle with them. Bad service>>>loose all of their customers>>>cheap, semi-good service>>>get customers back>>>become assholes again>>>loose their customers...

Well Verizon has amazing android phones for one. There is a data cap for ATT which is true but no cap for Verizon. You know now that I think about it I might do the force roam hack on my Evo and see if if I get better 3g speeds.
I have no idea what any if you are talking about, I get better 3g speeds on Sprint then I ever did with any other carrier I've had.

I wish I could get speeds that fast consistently. Actually what you are getting is right about on par for 3g. That's prob the avg speed one would expect to get. There are higher areas and lower areas depending on a lot of things. A 100KB connection is nothing to complain about. I've personally never had a connection over 150 KB.
Sent from your mom's phone.
Not sure if its sprint or my phone but I can't break 40kbs down on anything and 3g cuts out all the time. Crappy....
The first thing I would do to verify your 3g speeds is to unroot your phone, and make sure you are running the latest .93 hboot release and sprint ota release. If your phone is already in this state (un rooted and latest hboot) then ignore me.
You should also look into unrevoked forever if you haven't already...it runs off the current hboot, and I've noticed that something about that hboot does help 3g speeds on some rooted phones if you go that route.
I've done a ton of research and practical testing on this subject and I can say without a doubt that the evo's current rooting methods DO have a negative impact on some 3g phones in some areas. And I'm not talking about 100 or 200 kbps here or there. In the same house, same phone, 1 rooted and 1 not. That was the ONLY difference. The rooted phone got 7 kbps. The stock got 1800kbps. I swapped phone setups so that the rooted one was now unrooted and vice versa. That time the rooted one got 47kbps and unrooted was 1681 kbps...in other words the problem followed the rooting process, and not the phone. I've done dozens of tests like this and others in various areas within the surrounding wilmington delaware area.
I have access to 3 rooted evos, 1 evo that is always stock, as well as a samsung moment. The 4 evos are all rev 3 nova. I also did similar tests on the hero with the same sorts of results. Feel free to pm me or post here with any questions.
EDIT: the kbps numbers I listed were for download speeds. Upload speeds on both rooted and unrooted, regardless of build or boot version, were consistent at around 600 -700 kbps during almost all of my testing.
EDIT2: I forgot to say - this problem also happened to me when I changed recoveries from clockwork to AmonRA. So it's not JUST the rooting process that can cause this, but several low-level engineering commands, such as flashing a kernel, upgrading a ROM, etc.
Tiepoz baught two yoo bi swype"3
That's pretty crappy, I get full 3g pretty much everywhere around St. Louis until I get out to the country. And pretty good 4g around town. My 3g is about 1.5mb down. 4g is 5 to 7mb down.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Flash the PRL to connect to Verizon's towers. I get 1.2 mb/s even see 2mb/s occasionally. Of course ping times are raised.
It's pretty hit or miss here, one day I will get 50-150k down and the next it will be +1meg. Next time it get drops below 500 you can bet I will be talking to somebody about it though, their advertised 3G speed is 600kb - 1.5mb.
100kb is ridiculous
I get anywhere between 500-1mb down 100-200kb up. My 4G easily does between 2-6mb down and 1mb up. People just love to complain. You didn't realize this within your 30 day trial? If so, why didn't you switch carriers?
What should the prl be right now ? And how are you guys testing the speeds? Nvr done it

You live in an area with poor coverage or your phone has a faulty radio.

I think it is my radio. I was getting fine speeds up until 3 days ago when I noticed severe loading lag in my tethered apps. I get decent pings ~ 200-300ms which is not too out of the ordinary. I did a speed test other day and it was 50KB/s down and 70KB/s up. I figured it was just a faulty day but it has gone on far too long now. This is with 5/5 bars too... Just gotta wait for my new Evo to come in. Seems like every hardware ****up is happening at once.

[Q] How often do you use 4G?

Simple question from the title. Personally I have only ever used it to test the speed. WiFi is simply too ubiquitous.
.001% if that, just not in my area, hell I dont even check when I get to where Im going anymore,ohwell... Yeah wifi is becoming free every where,I was just at McD's yesterday, used wifi for a good hour before I finally got up and left,oh and 3 cokes later,lol...

4G used about 5~10% of the time.
I use it 100% of the time because it's faster than DSL.

Only at work. I work in Boston and we were one of the first cities to get it. I live 30 minutes out of the city, however, and there's no 4G there. I also tend to use it mostly when plugged in, but I am happily surprised at how well the service stands by without murdering my battery.
Not much since it is too unreliable in my area. It is actually slower than 3G because of the disconnects. 3G is very fast with my Airave.
Do you BONSAI?
A few months ago I was lucky. I had 4g at work and at home. I didn't even know what it was like not having 4g. Now fast forward to today, I got laid off and now moved out of a 4g area and life with my phone isn't the same :-(
Practically never. When it actually works, it's slower than 3G.
It's a simple question but the poll response options are terrible.
I use it whenever possible, I'm using it right now in fact. What % is that? I don't have a clue.
It depends. If I am traveling around town a lot for work I stick with 3g and only use 4g for downloads. If not a lot of traveling, then 4g. It depends on the accessability of a charger. (If I broke down and got a car charger, I'd ue 4g 24/7)
Also unless I am actively using the data, I leave 3g on. Never run around with 4g on (why would I?)
Epic is as Epic does.
I was using it about once a month.. just to see what I would get with speedtest at my house.. but now I moved closer to my job.. and not only do I not have 4g at work or at my new place.. but I have to keep roam control on roaming.. because I dont have ANY service at home now.. and I never had it at work either..

Ehhh I thought it was kind of self-explanatory. What % of time that your phone is on is 4G enabled.
If I am in an area with 4g that usually means full signal 3g so why waste the battery to have 4g on? full signal 3g is plenty fast for a cell phone. Only reason I might use it is to stream HQ videos IF 3g struggles.

I live in Salt Lake City, UT, one of the first lauch cities for 4g. And I've given up even trying it to speed test.
When I turn it on, it constantly sleeps or drops, then taking time to switch back and forth with 3g. I bet 1x is faster than trying 4g. And I evn have the dropping problem right in the heart of the supposed coverage area.
But also my friend has a stock evo, and sitting right next to him, he'll get and hold great 3g coverage. While mine is constantly on/off/switching between 3g/4g.

3G Speeds that make me cry

I just switched to sprint a few days ago and I am NOT satisfied! I FREAKING LOVE the Epic 4G Touch and it makes me happy to just unlock it and happier when my friends are like WOAH, that's a big phone, WOAH thats a nice screen WOAH its fast <3, but then they open up the facebook app and they're like ehh, this phone sucks. The problem is really with the network. That is atleast what I believe. I live in an area that doesn't have 4G, and NO companies have 4G out here, I was going to go with AT&T, but there was a problem with my credit or something, so I tried Verizon (wasnt really too interested) but they wanted me to fax in papers, then I tried sprint, worked out ALL ok , and I got like the best phone ever, but the 3G speeds make me cry, I just did a speed test and I got average of 15 kb/s down.. Not sure if there is an alternate radio I could use or something, or if other people have the issue, I have been thinking about going back and returning the phone and getting Verizon, but all of their good phones are more than $200 and I might end up owing sprint money. Ideas? Reflections?

Well, the truth is, in most places their network speed sucks, so, if impressing your friends, and network speed is important to you, you will be sorely disappointed.
If you want the best phone, at the lowest prices, and don't give a damn about network speeds, then you are with the right provider.

Lol, yeah... I was just so excited to actually get signal because I had tmobile then moved to an area where there really wasnt any tmobile and I saw sprint had "3G" coverage went to the store and yeah... I'm kicking myself for not looking around on here. I know that the 4G is **decent** but I miss my damn T-Mobile 4G, it was pretty damn good. If I get enough money and can argue enough, I'm probably switching to verizon. So there might be an Epic 4G Touch for sale soon, and I will have ****ty credit
well, the phone is fantastic; for me, I could care less about network speeds. When I need fast internet, I use my home computer..
for email, phone calls, texting, etc, these sucky speeds are fine for me, but, if your phone is your only connection to the internet, Sprint is a tough pill to swallow..
I see, its not completely awful for me, I think that its mainly a few towers in my city that suck because I can get 100 kb/s down sometimes, but 15 kb/s is normal for me. I just have combined ADHD with Facebook addiction and I am just a web junkie, so it kills me sometimes lol.
do you have a home computer/faster internet at home, or is this it?
if you want hope sprint is ugrading their network. At least for me this summer - about october my speeds at my house and work and around the area i averaged 200-500 for speed but as of late my speeds have increased greatly and now i average 800-about 1mb and sometimes i can get up to 1.2-1.6 mbps after work hours. My signal strength has also increased and i am seeing 3-4 bars in my house where before i wasnt seeing more than 2. So sprint is working on it and at least for me i am seeing some improvments.
yeah, at least sprint is in the process of upgrading their network. You will see improved speeds in the next year or two.
If you have access to wifi, that may be an option. The Sprint data speed at my house is pretty low (.. 100K level). However, this phone can get up to 18Mb down via my wireless router through my cable.

I have also noticed better 3g speeds. Long island NY.
Of course wifi is just silly fast on this phone, 4g areas are limited where I am but when working very fast.
The drawback to 4g IMO is the battery drain... silly fast when running, worse than wifi IMO and can't turn off when screen off...

From my understanding, WiMAX isnt't too far from WiFi lol, I also think the WiMAX radio sleeps when there is no data being transmitted, so it kinda helps with battery drain. Ill take a better look this weekend, I travel about 2 hours from my house to visit family and there is 4G there and I LOVE it lol

You should either complain or ask for a refund.

My city is a 4G area, but coverage is pretty spotty (of course). So, on a whim, I decided to see how bad of a hit I would take leaving 4G on all the time. Over the past week so far, I can unplug around 8AM, go to work, and when I get back around 6PM, I'll have about 40% battery left (fairly light usage).
Note that in my office I have zero 4G signal (heck, even voice is pretty spotty), so pretty much from 8:30AM to 5:30PM it just sits there and searches for 4G. I'm guesstimating maybe 15-16 hours of battery life under these conditions (again fairly light usage).
When I'm actually connected to 4G, battery life is quite good from what I've seen. I think it could easily do 20+ hours with medium usage, if I could get an all-day-reliable signal (big if there).
Leaving 4G on with my old Epic would kill the battery in short order (I'm thinking maybe 8 hours), so the Epic Touch is a MAJOR improvement for me.
I was getting about 200Kb/S and I removed the sprint proxies from the ##DATA# and also switched my home agent to somewhere nearby. All of this got me to about 1200+ Kb/S. Give it a try, I feel like my phone is blazing fast in all aspects.

Could you by any chance walk me through that? lol I looked around and didnt see any proxies or Home networks, I'm a CDMA noob =\

Unusable 3G... Speeds are barely above dial-up.

I don't even know what to say here. I have a Epic 4G Touch and the speeds suck.
I can barely use the 3G data services. Things simply do not load when I'm on 3G.
An average speed test for me is roughly 900~1000 Ping, 7~13kbps down and maybe 40~70kbps upload.
4G is fine but we only have 4G in ONE small area of the city. When I'm on 4G, I see like 10~12Mbit easy.
I use my phone for work. I need to be able to tether or load pages on the phone when I'm on the go and this just doesn't work for me.
Normally when I'm running these tests, I have 4 or 5 bars. I also work about 45 minutes from home and I experience these speeds in BOTH areas and everywhere in between.
Would calling Sprint and complaining be worth while? Any fixes?

It is sad right?.....I been dealing with 50k-maybe break 100k for a long time in my area. That is just the way it is in "your area" at this time for 3G. Maybe when they start upgrading their tower things will get better. The reason I say it is their network "Area", is that I can go to San Antonio and 3g works great nice speed..etc., but every time I go back to my GF house in South Texas 4-5hrs away I can't break 100k download on 3g again that has been going on for 1yr or more.
There is a link floating around that will give you info on towers being upgraded.
I agree, in Chicago 3G speeds suck worse than my first internet computer in mid 1990's.
I have had the EVO 4G and now the Galaxy SII. Both get 50-75k/sec download. Searching web sites is insanely slow. YouTube is a joke buffering non stop.
4G. LOL. What a gimmick. Very spotty hard to hold a connection which always drops. And big baggy drainer. I never use 4G.
Sprint Galaxy S2 w/ Calk's 1.5a + ICS 1.6
Welcome to the club. I came from T-Mobile where I was enjoying download speeds that are 10x faster then I get now with Sprint's 3G.
4G in my area is not bad ~1MB/sec but I don't get it consistently..
3G upgrades are badly needed, the Sprint tower upgrade site says the towers in my area were already upgraded within the past 6 months, I'd hate to know what it was like before those upgrades..

LOL, I visited Chicago for 4 days over Veteran's Day and thought to myself "Wow, these speeds are awesome!" I was getting >1 MBit on 3G and 5-8 MBit on 4G in the center of town.
I live in Vegas and thought Chicago was at least twice as fast as here...
I hear you!
I live in the SLC area of Utah and came from T-mobile. With T-mobile I could get 1-3MB with a low 3G signal on my Vibrant, now on Sprint I get much lower than that with full 3G bars and WiMax is a joke in UT still..
Memphis Tn and I am getting speeds like the OP is getting. I have tried three modems and they are all the same. I am hoping it is due to something with Sprint going on right now. Before this weekend I was getting some where near 900 down and 400 up going over 1000 at times. This is really BAD.
Yeah it does suck. We have such a nice phone but its pretty much all data driven. I don't even like to usr y phone unless I can connect to wifi cause 3g is so slow. Sprint needs to do something fast. I can't take it.

It might be the towers.
network.sprint.com
Guess what me too lol. The tower I use from my house is less than 50 kbits anytime of the day no matter how close I am. And thats 3g not 1x.. Even better they say theres no tower upgrades planned and the tower functions just fine
Yet, everyone else with sprint here has the same results.

Just ran a speed test.net from around Allentown, PA. 5 bars, ping 86ms, 958kbps down, 701kbps up. Fairly typical for this area, however no 4G here. Generally I've had pretty good luck with 3G.
3g and 4g in SoCal..

I Get 2-3mbps on the down and 1-2mbps on the up here in Salem, NH and its a heavily populated area....Might just be your towers
I remember back when I was using an HTC Mogul and they first turned on EvDO Rev. A. I was getting maybe 600-800k/sec down and honestly that was fine. I would *still* be fine if I could get 600-800k down on 3g. The problem is that my speeds are now somewhere around 10-20k/sec down if speedtest.net is to be trusted. I broke my launch day Evo and upgraded to the e4gt about a week and a half ago. I hoped that would fix things but so far it's just as bad. I think the highest I've gotten on any speed test this past week is still under 50k/sec with more typical speeds around the 15-20k mark.
I just did a backup so I can restore this phone back to stock and stop by the Sprint store tonight. I'm curious as to their explanation. I'd also like to see if their demo units and personal units have this issue. Honestly if they can show me that it's a defective phone I will be thrilled because I am still in my 14 days and can have it swapped out. If it turns out to be a software bug endemic to the phone then I'm in a less pleasant spot. I could wait to see if the rumors of the new ICS build pan out and fix anything but by then I am past my 14-day window.
If I'm stuck waiting around for a newer phone down the line I might just have to suck it up and swap for an iPhone since I can sell it for more in 6-8 months. I just don't really want an iPhone. I use my girlfriend's and it's pretty well built but the screen is so tiny and I hate losing built in Google Talk, Nav, etc.
Freaking annoying.
I live in Aurora, CO and work in Broomfield, CO (approx 50 miles away). Between the two, I'm lucky if I'm able to get 350kbps down. Worst of all is the inconsistency. Connections drop constantly, making it impossible to stream music.
I remember when I first came to Sprint, I could stream music almost non-stop on my 700wx from the time I left my house till I got back home. Those days are loooooong gone.
I don't understand how Sprint stays in business with such a low speed 3G network. I also get VERY slow data in my area and was very close to leaving Sprint, but they offered me an airave, so I can now use my phone in my house. 90% of the time, the data speed is terrible anywhere I travel. I like to stream some music (foreign radios) on my way to and from work and it is terrible: constant buffering. I was tempted to switch to T-Mobile since they have great coverage in my area, still thinking about it...
Very frustrating!
Welcome to Sprint, the Now Our 3G is SCREWED Network.
