hi i haw such a problem. bricked my desire, and need anny suggestions :/
it happened when i tryed to push a custom framework-res.apk i did it by pushing it throu adb. it was this one "smooth-sense-1.0-1.0c.zip" from desire section. and im using "Official" Froyo HTC Sense ROM 1.0c.
after i pushed it to my desire i rebooted it and everything seemed to be ok. device loaded but when came the screen to unlock it had some google errors and restarted to load screen and booted again to lock screen and so on and so on.
so i decided to wipe all data and reinstall "Official" Froyo HTC Sense ROM 1.0c. so i did it. everything seemed to be ok, i restarted my device, it started o load, loaded to boot screen, but thats all.
so i tryed to reinstal the same rom and radio :/ when i tryed to install radio device just shuted down.
after that my desire dount even loud up to boot screen, it only turns on to white screen with HTC letters on it, and restarts.
when i turn it with volume down it turns on to recovery. when i pick up recovery and pres power button to select it it turns to that screen with red !, but when i try to turn on recovery menu from my pc with recovery-windows.bat nothing happens :/
so thats my big problem, maybe anyone could help me with it? :/
i mannaged to turn my desire back on. now it runs on android 2.1-update1 rom.
but now there is no network connection, no sd card connection and no usb connection. anny sollutions?
and one more thing. :/ i cant turn off my desire. when i turn it off, phone turns back on again :/ when conncted to usb.
Sounds like an usb brick ...
Have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691639

Hi,
I followed an online guide step-by-step because I wanted to unroot my phone. Installed RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe with no errors. My HTC Desire is unbranded.
Now all I am left with is only a black screen, but light and sounds indicate that I am able to turn on and off the phone, just cant see anything. I've tried to remove the battery without no luck.
Could it be that my phone has AMOLED and the RUU is made for the older screens? Tried to hold volume down and power, recovery mode is also black, cant see anything.
Is there anything I can try or have I just dug a deep hole for myself?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Managed to solve the problem by installing =)
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.13.707.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed
MY DHD CANT DO ANYTHING NOW EXCEPT ON AND OFF! IT JUS LOAD THE GREEN AND WHITE HTC SCREEN TTS ALL. Ive tried power+vol and power+back, nothing works T.T HELP PLEEEEEEEASEEEEE!!!!!!!
What have you done to it recently? Have you tried doing s-off, radio s-off or any thing else before this started to happen?
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
if you rooted and have cwm recovery, try taking the battery out, putting it back in then connecting the charger while its off, this should take you to recovery
Thank you guys!! problem solved!!=D
any recommendation on which rom to use???
Hi guys, I've been running a Leedroid rom for months without any issues at all, today I plugged it into my PC and totally forgot that I wasn't supposed to turn the USB debugging off.
After turning this off the phone became sluggish and un-responsive, so I re-booted the phone. DOH
The phone now gets stuck on the white HTC boot screen and stays there.
I'm pretty confident this is because I disabled usb debugging, is there anything I can do from recovery to re-enable this without doing a full restore?
Phone: HTC Desire
i first tried to uroot my desire Z, by doin this it became t-mobile G2 because of the G2 rom,
i did a nandroid backup of g2 rom,
i had to make it desire Z again so i installed pc10img.zip having desire z hboot, cwm recovery,
then i restored from the bakup, then i tried to install stock hboot and turned off the phone,
after that i tried to turn it on but its not turning ON, no LED is flashing, not even goin to the bootloader, m having only black screen, help me plzz
Ok let me get this straight (your post is abit muddled).
1. You're trying to unroot your Desire Z.
2. Flashed the G2 hboot.
3. Made a Nandroid backup of the G2 ROM.
4. Flashed the Desire Z hboot.
5. Restored the backed up G2 ROM.
6. Rebooted as normal.
7. Your phone is now a paperweight - bricked or semi-bricked.
Correct?
Does the LED turn on if the phone is plugged into a wall socket or computer?
Last week I posted a way of returning an unbranded Desire Z to Stock, unrooted and S-ON - the wikis method wasn't working properly for some reason, no idea why.
yeah exactly, and LED turns on when i plug it into wall socket or computer.
have you done a battery pull and tried to get back into bootloader?

Seemed like a stupid question at the time but it was to rule out the battery going dead at any point during the process, was also trying to clarify the situation for everyone else who can help you out.
i have pulled out battery many times and then again put it in but its not turning ON, and battery was fully charged and i have put it on charging for an hour and tried it again, still phone is dead
volume down+power is not even showing up the bootloader, i tried volume up+power it vibrated and red LED started blinking then i connected it to the PC, windows started search for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies driver, at this point I tried ADB but its not recognizing the phone
