I agree. Without this site I probably wouldn't have kept my phone due to lag and sluggish performance. With all of the information here I have finally gotten a phone that performs how it should. Thanks to this great community!!

Thank you xda developers, I learn much here...
xda-developers change my life!!!!
my i8000 was running windows mobile 6.5 , but now it can running android!!!
i really want to say thank you all of you , because you guys help me a lot of things
If you appreciate XDA so much, why not donate? Help support this great forum so we can all continue to learn!
I'm collecting stars
Thank you!
I had an iPhone from the very beginning and loved it but I had to reluctantly give it up. I switched to android thinking (incorrectly) that is was an inferior OS....I was clearly missing out... Without XDA helping me make a phone I wanted through customization, ROMs, etc I think I would still be in the mindset that android was just another attempt to beat the iPhone.
Thanks!
You're all welcome

Thanks to all.
Thanks to the great Mods and Admins of XDA.
No thanks to the HORRIBLE Mods who Ruined the Desire HD android Development section.
Also no thanks to XDA members who are trying to sweep the issue under the Rugs.
Yes, Thank You to all the developers, admins, moderators, and everyone who legitly contributes to the xda forums! You guys have all made things easier to understand for everyone. THANK YOU!!!
Yes! Thanks to everybody who moderates these forums and develops. Without you guys this community would be nothing!
I wanna say thanks to the XDAdevelopers Dev's. You guys and gals have taught me a great deal of stuff. I spend alot of time reading different forums and this one is the Main vein to all of the other ones. I spend at least 5 hours a night reading up on the Shooter 3D. But as time goes by i will start to read other phones as well. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Yes - thanks to you all!!
Simply put, I appreciate all that you do, and all that you represent. It is a very large and growing medium, and the ability to learn here is so vastly diverse and ever increasingly expanding that one could take a lifetime to absorb even a fraction of what you have to offer, bravo XDA bravo!

thx to all devs and modders!!
I remember a time when I used to play around with my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic at the dailymobile forums and how much freedom it felt. Now that I've got a Desire, it's got a hell lot more compared to my Nokia's freedom, thanks to all the devs in here.
Great help here , can find solution for most of the issue related to HTC desire here . Thanks All
Hmm... Due to my new found respect for rooting and custom roms (and the age of my loved Desire), I'm thinking of buying a Sensation.
Any thoughts/feelings about moving from a Desire to a Sensation?
Cheers

I agree completely - I've been a lurker on here for quite a while and thanks to the info on the site I've managed to turn my Desire from a good phone into a GREAT phone... even though it's getting on a bit now, thanks to custom ROMs there's still plenty of life left in the old girl yet!
This Community is just amazing. I like to thanks the Devs. You inspired me to root and mod my mini pro, my Sisters X10 and my Friends Arc. Keep up the amazing Work!!!

No, some of us do help people you know
Missed the point.
Perhaps you could elaborate?
This thread was started a month ago, and was aimed at the generally helpful people on here who go out of their way to help others who don't have the technical knowledge that some of the more experienced members have. And although the development on the Desire has slowed recently, there are still some devs who are willing to spend their own time trying to better the Android experience on this handset for others.
Yes, i'm sure it is not the same place it was a year ago, but some on here still deserve thanks for what they are doing.

Should I describe dev section in past months? Or perhaps current status of Q&A section? It won't be nice, though.
I got a Galaxy S II almost a year ago and have been a part of the XDA community ever since. It was my first android phone and my first smartphone. All of you guys in this section of XDA have been absolutely fantastic. All of things you guys have contributed, like roms, tweaks, apps, themes, scripts, etc that made my phone amazing. And all of the times you guys have been there to help me will always be appreciated. You guys made me love android and XDA. I've learned so much about it over the past year, and have even contributed some things to the development section with success. But it's time to move on. I've sold my phone to buy the new Nexus 4, which is amazing guys. I love it. Great upgrade and a great price. So, I will unfortunately no longer be part of this section of XDA anymore. But before I leave, I just want to say Thank You. Thank You, the XDA Community, for everything. There were times I wanted to kill all of you for complaining and staying off of topic in threads, (lol) but I still love all of you. I hope the Nexus 4 community will just as great as you guys have been. You guys will be missed. Goodbye. </3
Good luck with your new phone man
We'll see you around man, good luck. Nexus 4 board is gaining a valuable member! I imagine we're going to lose a few more, myself included. My 8X shipped today, XBox music being the deciding factor. I have plans to pick up the Nexus 4 sometime after the first of the year though.

As a budding enthusiast of the android echo-system, I would like to put out a big THANK YOU to all who made XDA possible.
I have been rooting, modding and flashing android devices for the better part of 2 years now, much of which would not have been possible without the DEV's and all the other users of this site. :good:
So from everyone who has been stuck and just couldn't remember the relevant fastboot commands, bricked their device and people who just have no idea in general, THANK YOU. :good:

I gotta follow up with this guy (not only to get a few post counts to get out of the noob zone)
but also to truly thank you devs for working really hard. I understand that some of you guys work for little to nothing, and produce awesome roms for everyone to enjoy. Keep up the good work! :highfive:
I seriously don't know if it would've been possible for me to learn what I have and root my phone if xda didn't exist. The people here are truly helpful and now I'm encouraged to learn even more and hopefully, soon enough, begin flashing.
