I'm looking for the newest incredible HBOOT version I believe its 0.92 but I'm unsure. I've tried google but only come up with issues with HBOOT not the hboot file itself. Thank you.

You say you already have S-OFF, then you also need ENG S-OFF as well to be able to flash a Radio.img.

Hello,
I wanted to post in dedicated post in development section but I don't have enough message posted for that !
I'm trying to install a custom ROM on my Desire (non operator version, stock rom). So I rooted it with VISIONary+ and it looks to have succeeded. Then I installed RomManager to install Clockworkmod ! When I select Flash Clockworkmod in RomManager it states after few seconds that it downloaded it but not that it flashed it When I reboot with recovery mode I get the default android menu and not the one of Clockworkmod. What's wrong ?
I tried also with latest version of unrevocked but it hungs up at end stating "Root failed: perhaps your firmware is too recent !"
Here are all infos of my phone in Boot:

and in software versions:

Kernel version: 2.6.32.15-gf5a401c

Hey I was facing similar issues few days back, use the RUU for your device to restore it to factory settings and then try unRevoked again.
also this is my post -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970566 hope this helps
To confirm, the 2.29.405.5 software is what was on your phone when you got it? If so, use unrEVOked 3.21 as this seems to work for most people (although I had no issues using 3.32 with the same version as you)

Yep I tried unRevoked with old version of amon_ra but no better luck, so I'm going to flash it to RUU and try again. Where should I find the RUU ? I just need to copy it at root of sd card and then in boot mode I select that file and that's it, right ?
Update: I found the link in forum with RUU for Desire Considering mine is an official HTC phone, not branded by any carrier, I should use one of these I suppose but which one :
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122704.exe
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00. 32U_5.11.05.27_release
Update bis: these are all windows update programs so no way to use them for me as I run on Mac, and in Parallels on Mac, Desire doesn't appear as USB peripheral I can attach to Windows when it's in boot mode
Thanks,
Vincèn

Nope when I got it it was probably in Android 2.1 or 2.2 not sure and then I did the OTA update offered by HTC Latest one is few months away !

I had issues with the latest unrevoked and I was getting a failed message. When i removed my sd card everything goes well.
So give it a try without your sd card, who knows it might work for you too!
P.S I have the same HBOOT and android version with you.
Why are you usung unrevoked anyway? Since you are s-off you can easily flash a new recovery via fastboot.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
I don't think you can use unrevoked on an already rooted device - but not sure though.

Thanks for the idea, but it's still same, with or without sd card in phone, unrevoked still fails each time

Did I do something wrong ? phone is in menu FASTBOOT USB displayed in red and connected in USB to computer while I'm doing that !
Thanks for all your help,

Did you use Alpharev to S-Off?
When trying unrevoked, did you uncheck "disable security" (or similar) before hitting the button?
EDIT: Sry, I hit reply instead of edit.
It is really strange that you are S-Off. Maybe you are one of the few people having eng-bootloader from stock?
Probably runnung an RUU is your best bet.

oky so I reinstalled RUU 2.29.405.5 with success ! and then tried to run Unrevoked and it finishes with same error as previously (Backup CID is missing, I ran it without security Options !).
If I try to run UNrevoked with Amon_Ra 2, I get Failed to get root. Is your firmware too new ?
With Amon_Ra 0.93 same error about CID missing !
With Clockwork mod 2.5.0.7, same error about CID missing !
I'm desperated It looks like my phone can't be upgraded easily Any other ideas ?
Thanks for all,
Vincèn

which I think you can get here: http://downloads.unrevoked.com/recovery/3.21/reflash_package.exe

@m33-snk do you mean to RUU it again, or unrEVOked it again?
googling the error suggests using unrEVOked 3.2 ( http://rootmydroid.co.uk/guides/howto-fix-the-backup-cid-missing-error-on-unrevoked/ http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4171fg/n/unrEVOked-3-2-Windoze.exe - unsure if that works though?)
but also suggests misc.img is missing

Got it with that link I could not use your link for unrevoked 3.2 as I'm on Mac so I went with your link to extract misc.img, edit it with hex editor and replaced it in phone and then run Unrevoked latest release on it and worked straight That's too cool Now I need to download correct Cyanogen rom as it looks that the one for Bravo is not going on Desire I thought it was the correct one ! I'm waiting for Cyanogen website to come back to life as it's down from here for now
Thanks a lot Lothaen for your help

You to have ENG hboot. Search for easy ENG S-OFF

Remember to tick the "I have Radio S-OFF" -box.

You can use the ENG S-OFF tool with a custom ROM no problems at all. As jkoljo mentioned tick "I have Radio S-OFF" and accept any Superuser Requests that are displayed (I got stuck on this one for a while myself lol)

Hi, I have 2 desire bravo, one is Amoled and the other is Slcd,
I rooted the amoled one with alpharev.nl, and everything works ok...
But i bought the S-LCD one already rooted, the one who sell me it told me that he rooted it with "unrevocked forever". it's s-off with CWM recovery and every thing work but i cant flash radio, hboot and recovery via fastboot, it also told me : FAILED (remote: not allowed)
is there a solution for this?
is it safe to reroot my device using alpharev.nl?
thx
you don't flash the radio through recovery. You flash it through fastboot!!

It's recommend to do this since one is S-OFF, you are right. But it's only really necessary if one's using a hboot with a /cache partition <35-40 mb.
I'am not flashing the radio through recovery. i am doing it with fastboot.
with the SLCD one i got this error when flashing hboot or radio :
sending 'hboot' (512 KB)... OKAY [ 0.094s]
writing 'hboot'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
Doublecheck your bootloader if you are really S-OFF.
I have bravo stock hboot with 40M cache, so i had already tried to flash radio through CWM recovery and i got an error like :
amend scripting (update script) is no longer supported..
yes it's s-off!! it's weird.

That means your recovery is too modern for the script you want to flash. Since version 3.xxx cwm uses a newer scripts, but not all flashable zips support this. So you need to change recovery. This has to be done via fastboot. So we need to get your fastboot working:
Installed HTC drivers correctly?
Running windows or ubuntu (linux)?
Unrevoked forever is for cdma and cdma are dvt not pvt so that's not right

Oh thanks rootSU, only read "unrevoked".

In the same computer, it work with another Desire bravo that i rooted with alpharev
So what's your problem? I do not get it.
in the same computer fastboot work with on a bravo amoled device, and dont work with an other bravo scld device..
i think that the probleme is that the slcd one is not rooted well.
is it safe to reroot it with alpharev even it's s-off on bootloader?
thx
Okay, now I get it. No, I would say to set the slcd one back to stock and then S-OFF and root with revolutionary:
http://revolutionary.io
But read the documentation page carefully and make sure your hboots is supported. If it's not, use unrevoked (first) and alpharev (second) seperately.
okey i will do that
thx MatDrOiD
Anytime. Don't forget the thanks-button.
