Hey guys I'm really a nube to all this. I just rooted my evo a week ago with unrevoked. And noticed a guy on youtube with all of his evo screens titled at the top. Please help.
I would post a link for you but I am not verified yet...
Search for [THEME] ArtistikkEvo you can find it there or go to www. digital style wars. com and the Mod is there as well.
Hope this helps.
FYI, before someone else mentions it you should know that this should probably have gone in Q/A General.
Ok, I appreciate your help and I'll be sure to post correctly in the future.

If you havent heard yet our friend N_I_X has decided to pass on the porting and fixing of MIUI for the INC. to another developer. I am posting this without his permission but based on his posts he is willing to partial assist and release his "notes" on MIUI to whoever is intersted in taking it on. I know there is alot of people that love this ROM but as of yet there has been no one that has contacted him willing to step up.
I am posting this becuase i really enjoying running this rom and would still like to see updates for it. { warning} from what N_I_X has said is it can be frustrating at times because of not having source and also language barrier..
Please if you are interested in taking over let us know or if you are interested in seeing someone take over second my notion for it that why interested devs will see the interest on our part... I have faith in the INC community that we will find someone. Thank you! ***** Hopefully this is the right section if not please move****and I apologize
good luck.. it's a good rom, but def needs more support
Considering taking a look..with a baby on the way I'm not sure if I have the time though.

this has been my daily and I'd be very sad to see it stop getting updates/improvements ... if I knew how to, I would pick it up. I hope someone does.
Let's petition nix for one more update. Encore nix! Encore!!

He said he might check in on miui but that's about it. So I think the encores a no go... truth is the latest from him is very stable...

warttak has agreed to take on the MIUI Incredible development. He said to watch for a post on the MIUI-dev forums tonight.
Yeah!

I just rooted my Evo 4G but never installed any custom ROM yet, as I was waiting for the official Sprint update for the Gingerbread.
They just posted that the Gingerbread is coming to Sprint Evo 4G.
My question is, will I be able to install this official Gingerbread from Sprint even though I have rooted my phone?
You can install it, but you'll lose root. Wait for one of the devs here to post a rooted version first.
Hey man, just for future reference, this should be in the Q and A section. Your about to get a royal flaming session.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695878
If you install it you will lose root.....just wait cause aol of our awesome developers will have a rooted version out before you know it....most of them are just waiting on the offical release to put the final touches on the roms before putting them out

why do people keep answering questions here? quit it and people will stop doing this
Can we please post this in Q&A thread . Someone move this .
the simple answer to the original question is..
yes.
are we done?
Does it really matter where he posts his threads? The point of XDA is to help and inform others about their phones. I understand this isn't the Q&A but give me a break. Just look over it and move on.

Isn't there a question and answer section ?
Why is it that people are asking this? Has there been any announcement of the GB update?

Thread moved to Q&A.
Hey guys. A while ago, there was an espresso ui Rom available on android central, or phandroid or something of the other. It has since been deleted, but I have had several XDA members ask me if I had a copy of it. One of them suggested I make a thread to share the ROM with all of you, so here it goes....
THIS IS NOT MY ROM, I TOOK NO PART IN MAKING IT, NOR DO I TAKE CREDIT FOR IT. If the creator of the ROM finds this thread, and wants me to close it, I will do so without question. I'm just trying to help everyone out.
Its been a while since I've flashed this rom, at least a few months, but I remember it being rather sub-par in quality, it is more of a themed stock rom more than anything. Here is the rom, as is, and without warranty
Be sure to press the thanks button if I helped you.
Froyo based right?
This is just a modification of 2.2 with some launcher that looks like espresso.
Yes it's Froyo 2.2.1 based, there's quite a few bugs but it's still useable.

That's exactly what I said in the op. I personally wouldn't use this rom. I don't like it, but people requested it, so I put it up.

Close this thread, don't share my rom. I don't know why you feel entitled to just post something I worked on. It has my signature on EVERY apk in the rom yet you couldn't bother to mention my name or ask me if you could post my which was reposted as soon as I noticed that the link was down. And don't act like you didnt' know either you just feel like somethings owed to you. That was your whole intention here and in that thread you posted in.
Is there a possibility to add the rotational animation effect to a SONY GingerBread rom?. I'm asking this because in CM 7 ROM, that is based on Gingerbread, this effect is present. I'm not sure if this feature is in Framework, but is there someone that could port that to a SONY GB rom?.
And another question: What about a multitasking GB rom?, on GB when you switch to another app, the last one closes, and if you back to last one used from the recent app list it opens from the begining.
Hope that advance people respond to this.
Thanks for your time.:fingers-crossed:

Sorry, I was on a rush. I corrected the meaning.
As far as I know it is not possible to add an rotation transition effect into GB. From what I remember reading back in the GB days, the animation is dealt within the lib files ( .so files) which can't be edited. I could be wrong, but this is what I read. There was a thread investigating this matter.

If so, how did Cm 7 developers managed to add it to CM7?, as far as I know, CM7 is based on GingerBread.

Hi,
Get the libsurfaceflinger.so and libsurfacefliger client from system/libs the CM7 ROM and put that in system/libs of your desired ROM. If you need more help ask away. Let me research about the multitasking

I checked your post, and I noticed that the files you mentioned already was in CM7 rom, but not in a GB rom. Anyway, I'm sure that this is not as simple as adding those files to a GB rom. I'm sure that some harcoding must be done on a SONY GB ROM to acomplish that.
Hope that any other advanced dev see this thread and discuss it. :fingers-crossed:
If I would started this topic in the DEV section (because only devs can answer this kind of question), I would have at least 10 responses from devs.
Then, this thread was moved to "General Arc", and there I could have at least two more replies.
But now.. This thread was moved to " Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting", and in this thread... there is no dev reading posts.
I know that rules are alive before I post something... but aswell, I know that if I do a very tech question... geberal and Q&A forums will not give a spected answer.
SO. wich user could spect a worth response from a right devr?
If devs would look at the Q&A and general forums, maybe this place would be with a lot of less noobs asking what already was answered.
Thanks. :good:

I don't understand you mate. Weeo tried to help you but you wont even try to do as he said so please explain to me whats the point of this thread when you won't accept any help?

"Noobs" that are asking already answered questions are helpless and any dev or whatever god you believe in wouldn't help them because they are simply lazy or retarded.

Sorry, Im not a developer, and so, I cannot coock a rom adding the files mentioned. Anyway, Weeo answer was the most interesting, I'm giving that to some developers and see if the could try to do something.
what weeo is right bcz an (.so) file cant be edited after its compiled ....so CM rom are built from source where .so files can be edited before compiling...so thats why CM7 have those animations....
its not possible to add that in stock roms...
i told my point of view.......if iam wrong plz correct me..

mm, seems that the door is still open
I personally think that finally it's not possible... if so, the old GB developers would implemented that already.
I'm wondering is there existed some SONY X10 coocked rom with that feature.
i was looking into this a while back and someone seems to have managed it on samsung S2 2.3.6
