I have to return my phone to T-Mobile because of some damn hardware issues, so is there anyway I can completely return to stock so that they'll take it?

Hi,
I currently have a VF UK Desire, which has been updated with the recent branding.
I'm planning on rooting the phone and installing "NexTSense v5.0 Sense-FroYo 2.2 Official"...
Once this is done, can I run a RUU (say RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe) to unroot my phone is I have issues and need to send back for warranty repairs?
Thanks,
Kiz
Hi there, you can indeed unroot your phone but the problem is that the bootloader will remain unlocked meaning that it is possible to tell that the phone has been messed with. I don't know for sure if that ROM would unroot the phone though, not that it really makes a differance especially if you find you need to return it for a reason that would prevent you restoring such as a broken USB port
Hey whats going on i Have to take my phone to Sprint does any 1 knows how to go back to the originally settings like when i purchase my phone through Sprint. So i can still have my warranty I seen something in the post but I am not 4.24 my current version i had was 4.53.651.1 at the time I rooted my phone and to see what I was talking about that link is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206828
I think this is the procedure that you need.
Just flash a Stock ROM
Hi, I've been having an issue where my phone just shows "searching" and doesn't pick up the T-Mobile network. I contacted Samsung and they've instructed me to send it back for a replacement.
The phone is rooted and I want to get it as close to stock as possible. What steps should I take to get it back to stock and remove root?
Thank You
Flash it with the stock rom, unroot.
If you just look at the roms section, its a stickied link.

This might be a dumb question, but should I flash back to a stock rom so a potential new owner can have the phone programmed at Sprint without any hassle, or should I just leave it and let them deal with it?
Would you be able to change phone per the buyers request? If they are not into rooting they would probably what stock, but if I was interested would want rooted.
I posted this before asking them if the wanted me to flash back to stock or leave it, and the response I got was "Not sure what that means". So back to stock it goes!
I need to return my S3 as I've received my new one via insurance from ATT. The internal LCD is cracked and does not work - pitch black. So, I'm guessing it is best to flash it back to stock from KyanROM. Now I have a few questions:
Do I need to flash to stock for insurance purposes? I believe I found a youtube video that shows how to do a hard reset of data to wipe it clean (that way I know how many times to scroll). Should I do that before I flash to stock, or after?
I looked at this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33570269#post33570269 - and there are a few ATT stock roms. Which do I need, does it matter?
Since I am unable to see my display, would like to flash without tripping counter. Which is the preferred way to flash back to stock and keep counter at 0?
Let's start simple then.
Should I flash back to stock if returning phone for insurance (not warranty)?
Tough crowd! Whew! Haha..ok, well, I guess I'm going to give flashing to stock a go. Could someone help point me in the right direction as far as which ROM I need. I'll beg a lil too - PLEASE!
Follow this tutorial, you shouldn't need to worry about scrolling:

OK, that looks like it'll restore factory settings. That'll work after I flash stock ROM. Can someone point out the proper ROM I should use?
You don't have to, read the entire thread. Kies downloads and installs the latest stock rom for your device, it detects from model and serial number.
You just have to plug it, follow the instructions and wait until it boots up stock unmodified.

I'll be honest, I only read the first post. I'll read through the rest. In the meantime, in case it doesn't mention this, do you know about flash counter? Mine currently is not tripped - does this keep the counter as unmodified? Also, last I remember Kies did not recognize my phone after I put custom ROM on there (kyanROM), so will that matter if trying to do it via Kies?
