Which RUU to use?

Hi. I'm planning to restore my phone to stock, but I don't know which RUU to use. All I know about my phone is the information listed in the bootloader, which is as follows:
HBOOT-1.17.0000
RADIO-3831.17.00.18_M
anyone can tell which RUU I'm supposed to use by looking at these numbers? The phone came along with my phone plan, I'm from Singapore.
EDIT:
I just found the baseband version, it is 20.72.30.0833U_3831.17.00.18_M but there is more than one RUU file on http://www.filefactory.com/f/0eafb9c43276c308/ that has the same baseband number. Which one am I supposed to use???

RUU OPTUS_001 x.xx.980.x AUSTRALIA

Hi,
I have been searching for an RUU for the australia optus branded HTC one V (CID 980 or OPTUS_001) but have had no luck.... does anyone know where I can get it? I would be eternally grateful as my one V constantly reboots due to a radio update ota...
Have since rooted and installed many different custom roms with no change in the outcome... so i unfortunately need the RUU otherwise the phone is going to have to become a paper weight.
I've also tried many other RUU;s for different CIDs but with no luck (they all say wrong CID).
I would even be prepared to pay someone if they needed me to!!!

check the htcdev website. if an ruu was released for your device,it would be there.

There's no RUU for OPTUS001 CID as of what I know.

Ok thanks guys. So am I right in saying that there is NO way I can change my CID (to 111111) because its not possible to gain S-Off on the HTC One V?
Then this means there is no way I can use another RUU to revert the phone back to stock because it will only accept the OPTUS001 RUU?

Sorry for my noobish question.
I'm on Sprint HTC one and i know i can't flash GE or any GSM HTC One RUU or any rom with supercid,but anyone know if i can flash verizon RUU or Rom to my Sprint One? I've tried to changed my CID to VZW__001 but it always failed on MID with RUU,is it safe to change the MID number in android-info.txt ruu.zip ?

This is interesting question.
I know that when we got S-OFF using Sonic's Java Card, it gave us S-OFF/Super CID/ and Super MID.
I would think that changing your phone to Super CID, and not sure if there is a way to change your phone to Super MID, but that might be worth a try.
It would seem if super MID you would not get that error any longer.

1) Can I change my CID to SuperCID?
2) How to change to SuperCID?
3) Can I flash a RUU of EU (A5_UL) on my HTC 816 A5_UL(Asia HK)?
4) How can I revert back if needed? Do I need to flash a relevant RUU (RUU relevant to Asia HK) if I revert back to stock CID?
5) Does changing to SuperCID make any affect to usage of the phone? (like SMS, Calls, Internet etc.)

I forgot the exact method I used, but I just googled a method for the m7 and got the exactly system directories from the "commands for s-off users" thread. Basically you just change your cid to (8?) Ones, and just copy your current cid into a text file or something in case you need it again. I have a5_chl and I haven't seen any changes since I applied super cid, so no problems there. As for the ruu issue, I'm not exactly sure, some people say you'll be OK, others say it will brick your phone due to different partition sizes. Anyways good luck![emoji1]

Help! how to get off verizon demo store mode in htc m8

Hi, so i just bought an htc m8 from ebay and when it arrived i found out its verizon and its in verizon store demo mode, i already reseted it and the app just keeps coming back, how can i get rid off this?

S-off the device, change cid and flash a wwe ruu like the 4.16.401
Or send it back because you got ripped off !
Is the cid HTC__002 ?

Hey! i didnt understood any of what you said Could you help me? i can try to learn!

oooof tough one .....
S-OFF = Security off
Means all partitions of the phone that are usually locked down for modding are unlocked now, to change the model id (mid) and region codes (cid). Also for changing the phone from carrier lock to unbranded phone.
S-off is available via www.theroot.ninja
Then you have to change cid to a verizon one (non demo cid) and flash a Verizon RUU.
Comes to think of it that a Verizon might not be able to go WWE, I'm not into Verizon devices.
But that's the story in a nutshell. How to change cids can be found in the general section in several tutorials. Or ask/read in the specific Verizon subforum for the M8. The device has its own section !
