Hey guys,
Wanted to ask if someone has managed to set the double. Home button press option to something else than the options in the settings tab (menu, settings, applications)
The problem is, i'm not using. The default browser anymore, also the new browser has been set as new default browser...
But the double press button keeps opening the stock android browser.. :-[

I don't know what the hell I did or how I did it, but, for some reason, when I press the home button, it automatically takes me to Sense, and LP isn't an option anymore. How do I restore the options?
menu, settings, applications, manage applications, running tab, scroll to sense, and HTC Sense and tap on it, scroll down to "clear defaults". The next time you press the home button, it will give you an option for LP or HTC Sense
You can also download an app in the market called clear defaults and it will bring you directly there.

Hey everyone I have a G2 running the Latest CM 7 build and for some reason out of no where my physical keyboard will open applications as if some of the keys were shortcuts to different applications. For instance when I press on the letter "e" it will open my email app and "b" for browser etc...I notice after a battery pull everything is back to normal and I am able to type as needed but after a few hours of the phone being on the problem comes back. Any ideas??
BTW this was happening even when I had CM 7 RC 1 as well.
this should just happen when you press search + BUTTON. map shortcuts in settings -> application -> quick launch.

Thanks it seems like me pressing the search button again made the problem stop...that's weird.

in last update is possibility that you can set default behavior (tap for recents), long press for menu and tap for recents, or long press for recents and tap for menu to "recent apps" button. i set it in menu but menu not working. any help? also quick settings in notifications is missing.
i´m using stock rom without any root or someting special. thank you
Quick settings in notifications is missing - it's true. But button should work.

How did you fix this? I am having he same issue.
I do nothing, just read and try. It's not about menu in startup screen. It's about menu in apps.

I have a question.... Is there a faster way or option to close all the windows after browsing the websites and go back to the default homepage or home screen ???
After done with browsing the internet. I pressed that little double square icon key next to the address bar and close all the windows one by one. Then I got a blank page (about:blank) instead of my default homepage (www.google.com).
When i press the 'Back key' it keep going back to all the websites that i browsed previously. I have to press the 'Back key' many times until i got the default homepage or home screen.
Any advice would be appreciated

Nope, i am seeking for an answer as how to close all the windows at once and get back to the home screen.
I have tried press the home key button and it does get back the home screen. But when i pressed the internet icon on the home screen, i got a blank page instead of my default homepage (google.com)
And when i pressed the back key, it goes back to the previously visited websites.....
I don't have this problem with the Galaxy S3.
yup there is a way. when u click that
button next to address bar, all the windows show up. then press option and select 'close all'. if it works, feel free to press thanks button

Thank you for your suggestion. I have done that. And I got a blank page after closing all the windows. Is that's the way how it should be ?
I thought it should return to my default home page.......

That's how it is my friend....all credit goes to samsung
Just pinch in the browser and close the Tabs.
If you're rooted, check out the CSC features thread over in the original Android development section, I remember seeing one for adding a quit/exit feature to the stock web browser.

When I long-press Home button it opens Google app, but I would like to change to DuckDuckGo, I had it working on S5 but I can't find where to do this in the Note 7 settings?
Try this? It's for a different app but this is how I can get home button launcher to launch any app while holding the home button instead of Google assistant.

You can set in the app whatever you want to launch while holding the home button.

Hello! I'm John, and i got a problem with long-press action on home button on my Eurostar-Onyx running Android 6.0...
the problem is the long-press action launches overview insted of now on tap, then overview button was set as menu! Thats what i hate about OEMs...
Is there any way to change it?
