[Q] Debrand CDMA? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone know if there is a way to debrand a CDMA Desire? The only RUU at Shipped-ROMs for Bravo-C is the alltel one, no HTC. Please help!

Because cdma phones are linked to one provider I don't think there is an unbranded version available

[Q] Need Help!!!! NEED HTC DESIRE ROM 2.1

I recently installed a custom ROM on my CDMA HTC Desire for USCC and i forgot to back up my phone and now im stuck on the cydongenmod rom and i cant get back to the original htc 2.1 sence UI, does anybody have the files so i can restore my htc desire back to stock!!!!!!
All I could find were RUU's. Here and here. I know that USCC haven't released their RUU yet.
You should link to Shipped-ROMs directly, those threads are out of date:
GSM Desire RUUs

CDMA Desire RUU (there's only one)

No, they got up to date CDMA roms, well only one like but still. I don't know much about CDMA anyway.

HELPPPPPP

I have an HTC Desire from US Cellular. When I got the phone, it had 2.1, which I later updated to 2.2. Recently the 2.3 was released on htc's developer site, which I have downloaded, but am having troubles installing. It seems to be running fine, it resets my phone and begins the update. However, it sits on updating signature for a while then tells me "ERROR [130]: MODEL ID ERROR The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again." Is this because I have the US Cellular model, or is there a way around this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Please post information from your hboot.
US cellular is a cdma carrier.

The 2.3 update is for GSM phones. Us Cellular is CDMA. No 2.3 for US Cellular.
If you are rooted you could try Cool Droid 1.0 from Coolexe. Cdma version is available also (if that is what you're looking for).
Sense UI is version 1.9 as in Desire GSM official rom.

i jus need to know how to run the script gsm to cdma whatever that is
You cannot turn a Desire CDMA into a Desire GSM. No matter what script you use.
Please ask in CoolDroid thread so cdma users could help you (I'm GSM user).
And please ignore message from Matt. Rom is for both GSM and CDMA machines.

That does not make sense. I wrote absolutely nothing about the rom itself. I was only talking about hardware (GSM / CDMA).

As it said by HTC on Facebook...
"Please note that the following regional variants are not compatible with this upgrade: Germany (Telekom Deutschland), North America, South Korea and Japan."
As I remember, the USA is in North America)
So, there is your answer))

[Q] correct ruu for my starhub HTC desire

Hi, I'm having a HTC desire bought from star hub Singapore... It's having the infamous reboot problem.. but it's out of warranty..I'm willing to give it for service.I just want advice on a few things..
1.as it's already out of warranty, should I flash with an ruu before sending it for repair?
I'm now in Redux s off
2.please tell me the correct ruu for HTC desire from starhub.. I searched in the ruu thread but couldn't find any..
3.Singaporeans, please tell me what is the probable cause of replacing HTC desire motherboard..

1. because your warranty is over it doesn't matter if you flash a ruu or not, it's very likely that the service team will flash a ruu anyway (here in Switzerland it is)
2. I would say one of the WWE versions or the HTC Asia WWE version in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
Nothing else makes any sense
EDIT: search this site: http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android under the folder Bravo
EDIT: If your mobile is branded you have to find the star hub's RUU from shipped-roms.com otherwise (not branded) I would recommend the HTC Asia WWE
3. sorry but i'm not from singapore

[Q] HTC one V CDMA - help needed

Hi Guys,
I bought a new HTC one V CDMA ( Virgin Mobile) recently.
I have a set of questions, please answer them.
I wanted to know the difference between the Virgin mobile version and the other listed PrimoC version.?
I am seeing many custom roms listed for the PrimoC version? ...
What will happen if i flash them on to my Virgin Mobile phone...
Also i want to activate the phone on Reliance CDMA india , if you have a procedure to do it let me know.
Whats the default SPC of the phone ? . whats the procedure to change the SPC if required.
PrimoC is CDMA, PrimoU is GSM, Virgin Mobile's HTC One V is CDMA so you want PrimoC Roms not PrimoU.
