my HTC Desire Z was bought with a Netherland/Belgium Firmware but i operate it in german Language. It came therefore with a AZERTY Keyboard Layout which would't be a problem if i was able to change the prediction language of the hardware keyboard typing to german. But the problem is that this is only possible for french and english in the installed OS.
I read a lot of posts talking about the following solutions:
1. Change Hardware Keyboard Mapping (Still prediction missing)
2. Run some other firmware (Not sure if original firmware or overclocking is done to that firmware)
My Questions:
Is there a possible way of adding german spell prediction by a file to the system? If the mapping is only a file this should be possible.
Can someone point me to the original german 1.72 firmware which is still able to be updated (german delivery OS - without any modification).

and have the soft keyboard in arabic, but unfortunately i cant get the hardware keyboard to type arabic.
any suggestions?

I just bought a HTC Touch HD. I often need to write in russian. I generally use the built-in Phonepad keyboard and T9 for french and english. Spanish, german and italian are aslo available. How can i add russian language there ? I would need T9 and also cyrillic letters on the phonepad instead of latin letters.
Is it possible so far ?

By the way there are keyboard, dialer and letter search stripe for contacts in russian in the archive. You can install all of it separately.
Does it add Russian T9?

BTW this installation requires the SDK rights. I did have it as cab. I'll post it as soon as I find it ...

Yes, you can change keyboard layout.
Also, you don`t need those SDK rights to install it -100%. You need to kill some process in memory to install it successfully - SIPGT_app.exe. It works well for me.

But only one thing that prevents me and that is that I want to use the Norwegian keyboard with letters "Æ Ø Å". By installing the English Rom I can not use them...

Is there a cab or program that I can use to change the keyboard installation?
Similar to the PC, we can go into Control Panel, Region and Language, Keyboards and Languages, Change keyboard... And from there we can install or change the keyboard language ...

I want to install wm6.5.3 or slightly better version of any custom Rom on my TP2...

You might PM the original poster of this discontinued ROM, he stated there was a cab for the keyboard, there was not a link in the forum.

I gave my TP2 to a friend of mine. originally a Norwegian TP2, which I tweaked into Deep Shining ROM some time ago.

Hello, my dear fellow desireans! ^^
I thus justly updated my German ROM desire to 2.2 and me Russian keyboard is now gone Ahoy! Before i was able to switch between Russian and English where now English or voice command symbol resides.
Any suggestions on how to get my old keyboard back? i don't use voice to send sms at all...

Its the one with the mike on it (my one also says eng or en) beside the hide keyboard button, bottom left(screen not from my phone).

I don't think it was custom as i can not enable it. my locale does not have Russian how ever my phone is in Russian. I also installed anylocale that still gives me the keyboard in English.
Any ideas?

I have russain version of Desire Z, and looks like the latest ICS CM 9.0 Beta has an issue with hardware keyboard input language: I can't change it to russian while all regional setting has 'russian' as primary language. For example, on 2.3.4 there is an 'en' or 'rus' icon in status bar if focus is on some input box while hardware keyboard is opened, I can switch between eng/rus input languages by hitting key 'language'.
Did somebody else tried to test hw keyboard on non-english Desire Z? Is it my configuration problem or CM issue?
If it is realy an CM issue, I can help with patch/update testing to confirm it.

Today i flashed the old WildChild 2 rom and I really like the sotck keyboard. I flashed the stock keyboard right after flashing the rom
The problem is that I am forced to use the qwerty keyboard and the english prediction.
Can anyone provide me the required files and tell me how to get my azerty + french dictionary back?
When I want to chose the international keyboard, only the english one is available.
I do not have the EN key on my keyboard, there is a mic instead.
