Yes just flash the zip file through recovery!
I was on the Miui rom and loved this application with lyrics. I flashed this zip on my sense rom and the player works, but no lyrics. Any ideas? yes, I have the settings, automatically download lyrics checked.

I had the mod before. Somehow I lost it on my big a$$ sdcard lol. I've searched for the thread that has it but my exhausted search came up empty. Can someone post the URL to the topic? I'd appreciate it to the 10th power!

Was it MIUI, or the Honeycomb music, or the native gingerbread music? Could've been any of them really. Need more info...then I could probably upload it for ya.

I believe this is the HC music app. I don't recall if it installs, or if you need to drop it in your /system/app folder. I want to say, if memory serves me correctly, that it just installed like a normal app. Put it on your sd card, use Astro to navigate to it, click on it, and see if it'll install.

HAHA glad we could help
Got another dilemma ... the hc music app keeps force closing after flashing the update zip file. Do any of y'all have a fix on this? I installed the apk first. Then flashed the hcmusicupdate.zip and it now FC upon opening.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Use the program Root Explorer and go to system/app press the Mount R/W button on the top right. Then scroll down to the stick music apk (the one with the headphones) long press it, then hit delete. The HC music player will become your default player. You may have to reboot to apply the changes. Note that every time you flash a new CM rom, including nightlies, you'll have to delete the stock music app as it gets restored each time.

Im using xboarders GB/CM ROM at the moment and its working flawlessly...but I always liked the dialer and keyboard (touch) of the stock Froyo. Is there an apk or something that i can add to it to change those two from the gingerbread style to the froyo style?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Aha you should ask XBoarder. Am sure you would have to change some things to make it properly work.

Either post this question is his thread or send him a pm. He's super cool about helping people out. I asked for dsp zip and 2 minutes later there it was. Same with honeycomb music player.

Thanks...btw whats the DSP manager anyways?
Its the shiz!!! Allows you to increase volume for bluetooth, phone speaker, and internal sound. Gives you effect options, graphic eg, and compression. I highly recommend it if you like to use your phone for music in car or on any sort of external speaker from headphones, aux connections, or bluetooth

How do you flash those? Is it the same way as flashing the rom or is there a different selection for add-ons?

Thanks, Spastic! I just flashed xboarder's 'stock'/cm rom, and couldn't get the phone speaker to work. I saw your pst and tired flashing dsp mgr--now it works! I love how helpful forum members are!
I'm new to all this and I recently rooted my EVO 4g and I'm running the MIKG 2.45 ROM. I am curious about putting a theme but not sure where to get them and what's compatible with this Rom. If anyone could help it would be appreciated... Thanks.

I've also had some problems finding themes for Mikg, I was able to find a few on his website. Themikmik. Under download links then themes
Cool. I'll check it out, thank you. Also, do I put it on my phone pretty much the same way as installing a Rom?

Some can be found in the theme and app section. Some themes are compatible with theme manager, in that you just open the app, select it, and reboot; the other you do in recovery by wiping the cache and dalvik cache, then flashing.
Cool..... Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

Has anyone been able to get Galaxy tuner to work on Gingerbread? I am currently running EI22, and can't get the dang app to work.

The dev abandoned it and it doesn't work on any builds past froyo. Sorry.
Dang it. Is there a way for someone to pick up wherehe left off?

Possibly... but for me people like me the only reason I used it was for the audio equalizer, and thats been replaced by DSP manager.
I just searched for "DSP Manager" on the market and didnt find the app. How do u get this app?

Its not in the market. It comes stock in our CM builds. Not sure if there's a standalone that works on TW GB builds (assuming that's what your running)

Am I doing anything wrong? or missing a step

Same issue here. ATT stock rooted with CWM. I used the no tripping flash counter root with stock_root67.zip file if it matters. I can toggle and change settings but they have no effect. I've already changed the settings to Awesome Beats under sound.

Thanx, it worked - I also read PowerAmp can also cause this ( Settings > Audio > Adv Tweak > Disable Direct Vol ) > although it didnt make a difference it mine, basically it needs Google Music Play
EDIT: So noticed the following
1) Works with Google Play Music > Speaker and Headset
2) Bluetooth setting doesnt work however the Speaker side controls the Bluetooth headset amplification
3) Doesn't work for Online Radio ( Tune in )
Awesome Beats
Try this, this works for Galaxy Note and it also works on SGS3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749434
