Since you are rooted now you can just flash a new splash screen, HERE's how to do it.
thanks alot man, wondering you have any idea why it did that though??
also may i bother you , and ask if you can get me original splash screen for g2 from yours?

I used the same method with OTA, and didn't have any issues, but that is a relatively minor issue, at least its fixable and everything else is working ok.
Hmm is there the stock splash screen anywhere? im trying to put original... then one on the first post is mmcblk0p19.img is that the original splash image.. if so can i just fastboot flash that... or do i have do the whole ffmpeg thing

First off is the stock pc36img.img on your root of your sdcard? If so pull the battery out, put it back in and hold down the power and vol down to boot in the bootloader. you should be fine once it installs you should be back with a stock rom. If you don't have the stock pc35img.img you can get it from here http://www.multiupload.com/U27BZXVWWI.
hope this helps
http://www.multiupload.com/U27BZXVWWI
Download that, rename it PC36IMG, put it on your SD card... reboot phone into recovery(while phone is OFF, press and hold volume down, while pressing the power button), it will load, follow onscreen instructions
Have you tried using an ruu. It should be able to return your phone to stock
u should goto the androidforum and read ROOTING FOR DUMMIES thread! u will not f up your ph and it will take u 15 mins to root yah ph give or take a few!

Is there any reason you flashed virtouos v7 now? its very out of date.
version 9.0 is out!!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=837042
since you already flashed a custom rom i assume you s/off ,etc using gfree?
i would do a full wipe and flash virtouos 9.0
EDIT:spelling error
Yes, are you sure that you are S-OFF with GFree? Boot into fastboot and on the top line it should say S-OFF. Tell us if it says that.

never heard of it, some phones freeze or restart after overclocking but turning it self off is very dodgy i would go back to stock rom s/on , unroot and send the phone back to get a new one. i might be wrong though maybe someone else have a better answer.
unfortunately, i can't send it back and get a new one. pay 700$ and then get a shut down, so sad

Hi All,
I tried using the 2.37 downgrade guides, including the Indian version , and of course no luck. Just wondering if anyone is working on the build 2.43.661.1 version.
My Phone: Telus DHD

Build/Software Number 2.43.661.1
Thank you all very much for your amazing work.

So thanks for that nt1303. However, I don't understand what you mean when you say "No need to downgrade" because your guide looks like you're downgrading to a lower version of the stock ROM. Anyway I haven't tried it yet. I also have a Telus DHD with build 2.43. I might give this a try tonight.

look at the last comments in the thread
Well then... that sucks. I guess we'll just have to wait until someone cracks 2.43 Ugh I don't even know why I upgraded to Gingerbread... got overly excited :\
Has anyone ever thought of downgrading to 1.84.661.1 (Telus stock Froyo)? It's an idea that's been floating around my head, but I haven't wanted to try in case i somehow screwed it up and broke my phone...

Just out of curiosity,
Does the gold-card flash a non-branded PD***.img not work with this latest update?
My understanding is you could use the goldcard method to force your phone to downgrade to a stock, v1.32 ROM, then use the rooting software to s-off, then you can flash any custom rom.
Hi
I was trying to downgrade my DHD but I could not.cause my bootloader does not work.I mean when going to bootloader the phone completely gets frozen and no key works.
help me please.
If you haven't flashed anything yet, just pull out the battery and stick it back in to restart it. It probably just means you don't have root access to your phone.
I have tried it several times, unfortunately there is no use. I have even tried factory reset!
Hi
I have a question before sending my HTC back for the wifi repair to HTC.
If I make a nandroid backup of my existing custom rom, then unroot the phone, when I reroot the phone once i get it back, can I simply use the nandroid backup I had made to restore everything once I have re-rooted?
Thanks

Yep, ofcourse you can.
To be honest you need to re-lock your bootloader also.
And hopefully your lucky enough to be one of the people that gets a warranty fix even though your unlocked and rooted.
As many people get turned away.

I made a nandroid backup of my stock rom and also have the boot.img for the stock rom. I assume that if I flash these 2 first and then lock the bootloader? Is that correct?
if it is correct - is it simple to lock the bootloader?

Hi, yeah thats correct mate.
Easiest way is to flash the correct RUU for you phone. Im sorry but I don't know how to get the correct RUU perhaps someone else could help.
What I do know is that you can never fully "lock" the bootloader again, it will say "Re-Locked" and not "Locked" all you can do is hope they do not check the bootloader.
Hope this helps

Definately, if they boot the phone and see CWM, TWRP, Titanium, SuperSU/SuperUSer they'll know straight away you are rooted.
Remove anything you possibly can that will identify a rooted unit.

Warranty VOID?
I needed to send my phone in, but I don't have the sticker on the back, or the box, and there's no way for me to get to the settings on the phone, because the screen stopped working.
Will HTC still be able to service my phone, or is the warranty considered void?

HTC repair is bull**** just for the record. I have 4G Slides on the rest of my lines, ALL of which had to be sent in.
2 of those phones took nearly 45 [FORTY FIVE] days to get back to me. Apparently there was a hold for parts coming in from Taiwan. They wouldn't tell me which parts. They wouldn't even give me an estimate time. HTC didn't apologize or update me on my repair. I found all this out after numerous calls day after day.
But if you thought that was bad service, you'll love this...
The third phone was sent out and came back fairly quickly. Within a week. I was so happy to get my phone back.
Opened the box and GUESS WHAT?
HTC SENT ME THE WRONG PHONE
They sent me a completely different phone for a different carrier (HTC Evo 4G for Sprint). It was very beat up as well.
I swear, if it wasn't for their designs (which I love dearly) I would've dropped the company by now...
Sorry for the rant/threadjack. Thought you guys would like to hear a horror story. I'm done
does anyone know how to remove the super su app and the clockwork recovery? everything else is now back to stock as i did a nandroid back up immediately after rooting initially
thanks

I just installed This Rom.. and It keeps shutting off when it boots up, I don't know what to do... I'd read all them pages but I don't really have the time seeing as i'm always working.
So if someone can help me solve this problem. I was trying to put it into bootloader mode but I can't even do that, I was going to install a new rom so if someone can please help me i'd be so thankful!
