[Q] Market Problem

I am having a problem with the Android Market. When I download an app from the market it will download just fine but then once it is downloaded, the app is not installed.
I am rooted, running SkyRaider 3.0 (Vanilla) please help.
Thanks.
cleat cache, restart app¿

It's a common issue with Froyo on the Incredible. If clearing the cache doesn't work for you (didn't for me), you'll just have to cancel the download and restart it for the problematic app. It can be annoying, but at times it will take ten or so attempts for a successful download and install. Also, be advised that it's dumping a series of download.apk files into your downloads folder.
Man this market thing is annoying, I cleared cache and nothing... after the download, it just stays at 100%, the file does download and can be installed with astro...just select the .apk

Installation was unsuccessful

So I rooted and flashed my phone with a pre-rooted version of stock 2.2, installed a power saving mod and enabled move any app to sd (adb), installed loads of apps and it worked fine.
I've just gone to install a new app from the market and I can't get it to work. Anyone know of a fix?
Thanks
What app? Did you try clearing market cache and data? Tried rebooting your phone? If not, read and search first, post later.

I had the same problem, first time it say installation unsuccessful, second time it is successful..I think is a problem with the market, google doing some update on it..
I searched and tried some suggestions there. Formatting SD etc. Reflashed the rom and it seems fine now.

MARKET - Download Failed (Large file size?)

is anyone having an issue with the MARKET downloading updates for apps that are quite large? I have been fine updating apps that are of smaller size but 2 apps, ANGRY BIRDS and COPILOT LIVE USA as 14M and 17M and those apps will not download the updates from the market. It just says DOWNLOAD FAILED. I go into CATLOG and look at the log. It shows APP IS IN DOWNLOAD STATE BUT DOWNLOAD FAILED. How do I resolve this so that I can download the updates? I have been fine downloading any other update but those 2 apps are of a big file size and wont update....
HELP!!!! Thanks...
For what rom? And have you check the space left in your memory card/internal memory?

Have you tried clearing the markets cache? That usually works for me when I have a download problem.
Its Sprint lovers rom and HAS been working fine.. this just started and I think it must be a google market error not a phone error. I have 145M free on internal memory.

Yes.. I cleared the market cache. DALVIK CACHE and deletd cache files using ROOT EXPLORER.. NADA.. I think it is a market issue.. MOST program I go to update work fine but these 2 which are 14M and 17M do not download from the market. On the google market forum I see others having similar issues although it doesnt mention file size.. I posted there but havent yet received a response...
any ideas?

Found it on my sd card. Removed it which hosed swype but didn't solve download issue of two programs . Same error in catlog that program is in download state but download failed. I was able to download update for a program called enhanced email. I still think its a market issue. Any other ideas?

Tonight I get a different error when trying to download the copilot update. Catlog says download manager could not find the complete path so it is assuming download failed. How to resolve? other updates are fine except copilot and angry birds with same download path error.

anyone? it appears it is ONLY COPILOT LIVE and ANGRY BIRDS that can not download either the updates OR if I uninstall the program it wont download the program at all.. BUT every other program downloads and updates just fine...

[Q] new market issues

I just updated to the new market and it will not show any updates or allow me to download apps. Just hangs on starting download. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the update, wiping data and rebooting. Any other ideas?
Using the stock Rom. Had no problems on miui but I need to stay unrooted for work :/

Mildwild and Google Play Store

Hi all
I've installed Mildwild on my desire and I'm loving the rom.
Only problem is that the play store app crashes every time, think its a force close error but it disappears so fast I can't see it properly.
Any ideas?
Have tried some modded play store apks and the original a couple of times. When I install them they work for a few minutes then the error occurs again.
Its a strange one and I'm stumped!

Which cache would I be clearing here?
Will uninstall everything related to play store and try again.
Thanks again.

By uninstalling updates I meant for the Google play app not the apps downloaded from the play store. Clear the cache and uninstall updates through Settings > Applications > Manage applications ( or something similar ) and tap Google play.

Check the attached images if you need help. Currently I'm running ICS but it should be similar.

Hey, I've got the exact same problem with the current MildWild 4.4.
I'm doing a completely fresh install, partitioned the sdcard with 4ext (newest version), did the factory reset + cache/dalvik wipe, flashed MildWild, linked my google account..aaaaaaaand.. play store crashes. Undoing the update + deleting cache didn't help, sadly.
I've read about installing the 3.7.11 version and downloaded it, but I can't just install it regularly and am not sure how to do it via adb or anything :/
edit: Nevermind, got it. Turns out root explorer isn't as scary as i thought
