That's not the Verizon prl. It's the Sprint corporate prl that allows 3g roaming in some markets. There's a newer version available, 11119.
The Verizon prl is hacked and is v.00001. It is also very outdated.

Confirmed. Yes it works.
If we use verizon prl on sprint phone, it will always use verizon tower and it does not show the roaming indicator but it's under roaming. If you are going to use verizon prl, then you won't need roam control because you don't have any other choice. There are several prls which has the modified sprint prls. What this means, you can choose between sprint and other carriers(towers) and you may need a roam control to control the roaming.

Read closer. Sprint itself limits roaming to 1x, it's not a problem caused by Samsung.
And, for the record, my phone roams on 3g just fine with 111115 and 111119.

What ROM?
LTE Area?
Living in an LTE coverage area is always a plus.

You have to have the right apn for it. Some carriers require enabling it on the account level

It has to be feature enabled at activation. For example, I am coming from a GS2. I cut my GS2 sim to fit the GS3. Everything worked perfectly except for LTE. I had to call and have the phone activated as an LTE enabled phone to get it working. I am on AT&T BTW.

I was also told that they have 'newer' sim cards that 'work better' with LTE as well. I was having issues with my SIM that came in my iPhone 4S, and when I moved to the SGS3 LTE was spotty. They gave me a new SIM at the AT&T store and it fixed all my issues. Not sure why it helps anything as a SIM should be a SIM should be a SIM, but apparently it does.
May be thats why coz my sim was activated at hspa for iphone need to activate in LTE mode i think

I recently rooted my GS3 and i have been trying to figure out how to force 3g service on it any help? since i can only pick up 4g in certain areas im tired of the EDGE 2G.
Im pretty sure you cant, seeing as hspa+ is still technically 3G or WCDMA. So I think your stuck with Edge for now... Until T-Mobile does more service upgrades in your area... Don't worry, I get crappy service wherever I go, and I have the worst service here at home... Should have went with Sprint...

You could try, but AT&T uses the same thing "HSPA+" which is really 3G, but they still call it 4G, and that's what would show up on your status bar (it would still say 4G), so I don't know if that'll work... You can give it a try though. I'm actually going try it our right now, and see how it works. I'll keep you posted. :good:
Have that issue too and don't count on them upgrading anything anytime soon. Just wait till your contract is up and make that switch

So, I just tried and I couldnt register on AT&T's network. Guess your just gonna have to deal with it for now... :/

I guess you can take the 4G plan off your phone and be throttled down to 3G speed... That's it.
So im really not sure.. Baseically the m7 switches from lte to 3g after awhile and never switches back even on stock rom
Ive flashed stock and factory it, still didnt fix
Ive flashed original radios and rom, still nothing
Ive called verizon they have "refreshed" my connection.. Still no dice
Ive always gotten lte anywhere i went, just dont understand why its acting this way
Anything else to try?

Try turning off your data, turning on airplane mode, then turning data back on and turning off airplane mode. That normally works for me. It gets the phone to rescan for towers, and it switches back over to 4G.
If the new SIM works let me know, I might have to try that.

It could also just be a weak 4G signal. Notice how Verizon likes to brag about their coverage but not speed; that's because they put up a few antennas every few miles and run them at high power. The LTE network just isn't as dense as 3G, so you have these signal gaps everywhere where the phone is on the border line between 3G and 4G. AT&T and T-Mobile stomp all over Verizon's 4G where they have coverage.
Okay all, I've got a T-Mobile M8 S-Off and Sim Unlocked using it on Straight Talk AT&T Sim. If I switch to LTE only I keep amazing 4G service but if I don't over half the time in the same area I'm on H. Any idea why this is? Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that switches to H if the LTE goes below a certain strength? With my Nexus 5 I never lose it so I am wondering also since I can set it as 4g only and keep service (but can't call out on LTE only setting) All help is appreciated.

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, are you using the *#*#4636#*#* menu? If so, which settings have you tried?
On my Sprint M7, we had a similar issue where it would work great with "LTE only" selected from the menu, but that would mean no calls or texts. "LTE, CDMA" would hold LTE longer than the default setting (CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto) and allow for calls/texts, but if we lost LTE, we'd be stuck with 1X data.
If you haven't yet, try the "LTE, WCDMA" setting.
