[Solved] fastboot flash splash1

I've tried a couple times to flash a proper splash1 image but it failed each time...
When I go into fastboot I can flash the flash screen with the following command.
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.bmp
It runs and everything is ok, I reboot my phone with fastboot reboot.
But when my splash screen shows the image is totally blurred, flipped and sometimes doubled so that it gives a total mess. So he has flashed a splash screen but it doesn't shows correct...
What am I doing wrong. I know it is a correct splash1.bmp because I used it with the program "Android Flasher 1.7.5" to flash my splash1 screen and it all works perfect. When I try it manually it totally fails?
plz some help
p.s. see signature for phone information
sorry already solved, forget to convert bmp to .img ==> perfect guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795132

[Q] Fastboot flash recovery

A quick question. I want to replace my AmonRa recovery with RMD recovery through fastboot. Do I fastboot erase recovery then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img? Or do I just flash the image directly?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img safer way
There is no problem in deleting the old recovery before you flash a new one.
I thought that it would'nt overwrite the already present recovery if I flashed directly.
Anyways, I flashed RMD successfully (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img).

Command 'fastboot reboot recovery' do not exists.
Try 'fastboot reboot-bootloader' and then 'fastboot erase cache'.
Then when you reboot to bootloader and choose recovery from the list.
Sent from my HTC Desire using flashes and thunders
use the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
remember that recovery.img is the location+name of the recovery.

Fastboot flashing

Ok, back in my HTC Desire HD days I could rename a prepared radio zip file to PD98IMG.zip, move the file to my SD-card root, then go to fastboot and the file was immediately recognized as flashable and I could choose to flash it, without going through adb.
Is there any similar method in Gnex?
For instance, I would like to flash a ClockworkMod Recovery update file straight from fastboot, without adb commands (i.e. a PC).
Thanks.
no. HTC phones use hboot which is their own bootloader written to look for that file name.
Thanks!:good:
In the Nexus, you flash raw images through fastboot.
'fastboot flash <partition_name> filename.img'
Partition names available: system, boot, recovery, userdata, logo.bin
