[Q] Anyone using CVpcs Emerald AOSP rom?

I was browsing thru Rom manager Rom list and ive seen a new adder, Cvpcs roms.. its a AOSP rom in alpha, ive only heard of the dev once by him booting a custom rom on the Droid x.
So far ive booted it and it seem fine

Im still sticking with cyan for the moment. but this could be a good test.. we need more AOSP devs

No 4g or mms. Im running it now its basically cm6 but ALL stock Android even the stock launcher

i installed and for some reason it keeps giving me a error message wtf!

Couple quickies...

So just loving baked snack 1.8 Rom but have heard adw launcher is great. How can I install it on my evo, will it work?
Also, swype expired, can I still get it somewhere?

swipe is still in beta - unless you're a beta tester, you can't get it. (although google is your friend )
you can dl adw launcher from the market, but many prefer launcherpro.
Edit - if you just flashed baked snack 1.8, try using his kernel#6, it's better than the one that 1.8 comes with. But I don't know if kernel #6 is available as a standalone outside of his members only forum.

I don't really like ADW.
You can get Swype anywhere.......but here. Like he^ said....google is your friend

Huh? You mean the stock Rom? Check in the Android Dev sub forum, there are plenty of roms there.

Right now I keep flashing, could u tell me what sense rom u used? I know u use miui, but I want to use myns I guess, but I don't like the theme or mikfroyo

If you don't like the theme, then pick a ROM with a theme that you do like. Fresh is pretty damn close to stock and is very popular. It's what I used before I went to MIUI.

I'm using VirusRom Gingersense Rev B3, Its a 2.3.3 port with sense 2.1, but it runs pretty smooth. It has a lot of sense 3.0 apps and features added in and there should be some more added in the next update. I recommend it.

I used it and it was amazing but I noticed that I was receiving the text messages way too.late like someone txtd me at 3 and I received it at 6 lol but great rom tho

Are you sure they sent the at 3? I saw someone mention that the time stamp on received texts was way off. That could be what happened.

I'm currently running Vaelpak 3.2 RC2 and IMO it's great. It's a nonsense rom, no sense launcher and his Vaelpak Settings app adds alot of customization options.

What is up with low wifi signal on cm7

I was on deck 1.3 had ok wifi, but i switch to cm7 n its really low sometimes it will have one bar sitting next to the router, never get full bars even when i sit the phone on top of the router

I'm not really sure. For me and a few people cyanogen was nothing but problems. Works for some and is a pain in the ass for others.
Just go back to decks. Decks is cyanogen mod with a few tweaks here and there to make it work better and have killer battery life. To turn decks into an exact replica of cyanogen just install the adw launcher app. Adw is the launcher built into cyanogen.
P.s. idk if you knew this but all themes and mods labeled for cm7 will work on decks (if that's why you went to it). 90% of the time anything labeled as a cm7 mod will work on any aosp since most of them are based off of cyanogens source.

I believe so. Haven't used adw in a while. I believe there is a setting somewhere in it for full landscape
