Did you flash the gapps that we used for CM6 (non-gingerbread) it wont work. You need to use the gapps package that is specifically for GB / CM7.
Download gapps-gb-20110120-signed.zip from here:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
//P
Have tried that one but no luck...

Which ROM are you using?
//P
hi,
had the same issues with nightly build #6 and #7 of cm7 with gapps-gb-20110120- from h t t p://goo-inside.me/gapps/ as well as gapps-gb-20110115-signed.zip, all to no avail.
i finally gave up and returned back to cm 6.1.3
Same here too. No gapps

try mounting system and data before flashing, then unmount and fix permissions.. a wild guess, but might work
didn't help (
you are using 3.x recovery of course? just asking.. don't know then :/
Ask in the thread where you got your ROM from.

I just recently installed CyanogenMod 7 on my Evo. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has a solution to installing Android Market? I've tried installing an .apk version and I unzipped another version and neither worked. Has anyone else have this problem? I don't remember this happening on CyanogenMod 6.1.2.
Flash gapps from the cm thread
A drop of Chuck Norris's semen was placed on the IPhone. We now have the Htc Evo.
No cm roms include any google apps (gapps)
Copyright blabla bla
Its about cm being open source, most google apps r not
Its usually stated on the first page of any cm rom fyi
Swyped from a galaxy far far away......
To make it even easier for you, and/or anyone who searches and find this in the future; gapps can be downloaded here: http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/ -- flash thru recovery.
I'll give gapps a try and see what happens. Man, you people respond fast. I love xda!!! Thanks.

1) Wrong phone.
2) HD2 isn't really supported. It just got added to the repo tree, but there's not even a nightly yet.
Just download the latest CM7 gapps file from http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ from your recovery.

I think you should post this in HD2 forum since there are multiple ways of loading up android oh HD2. I have done both myself. Also I am quite sure if you read the OP from where you got your CM7 it will tell you exactly what to do

Hi all,
I've installed LeeDroids rom several times and tried wiping and doing a clean install using CWM and also Easy Full Wipe. Once the rom has booted I'm finding that I still have apps installed there from previous times. Only time I've managed to get rid of them was when I installed Revolution but when I reverted back to LeeDroid they were there again. Any ideas on how to totally wipe everything or is this just normal? Thanks in advance for any help

Its google restoring them from the market. Flash leedroid but dont sign into you google account, you will notice there gone

Not all apps I have in the Market are installed though, only some. And why does it only seem to put them back when LeeDroids rom is on and not revolution?

Are you sure there not just the apps lee includes with his rom?

What apps are they?
No they're one's I've installed. The two Angry Birds, Cinedroid, Jefit and a few more
Alright so long story short, just bought a 2 month old incredible off my buddy because he is a mactard and HAD to have an iphone.
The phone was rooted but I wanted to start from scratch so I formatted the sd card and performed a factory reset (within the phone, not thru recovery). In doing so, I no longer have access to the market - simply says "you don't have this application installed on your phone" when i try to open.
What is my best bet? Can I just flash a new rom and instal it in recovery? Is it possible to unroot at this point?
PS - I haven't set up the phone on the Verizon network yet so could this be the reason I can't access the market?
Any advice is much appreciated!!
sounds like you need to install google apps.
It would help if you said which rom you're on or if you're running stock but it does sound like flashing Google apps could fix your problem. Latest version is 5/3/11.

My bad,
Rom: The Ultimate Droid 3.3.0
Android Version: 2.3.3
Kernel Version: [email protected] #27
Definitely try flashing Google apps, should get your market back.

THanks I'll try that...you wouldn't happen to have a link to the .apk would you?
Its not an .apk, its a zip file flashed through recovery. ROM Manager has a GAPPS section at the very bottom under "Download ROM".

Ah that's right, I remember reading that in another forum...
Say I want a different rom though..if I simply flash a new one, will my Google apps exist?
Sorry for the rookie questions, still navigating my way thru the world of root, appreciate your guys' patience!
Pretty sure Google apps only need to be flashed with aosp roms, every sense rom I've flashed had the market and typical Google apps included.

THanks...now for the final question. Just dled OMFGB and Gapps...which do I flash first? And do I need to do another davlik wipe after the 1st flash?
Again, many thanks for your help!

rom first then gapps thats the rule with every rom
hmmm didn't seem to work. Tried again after rom was installed and still nothing...any suggestions?
Nevermind we're good!
I installed CM 7.0.3 and there is no way to access the market or anything. I then went into the accounts section under settings and it only lets me add an Exchange account. How can I fix this? I'm on Clockworkmod 3.xxxx if that is important information
Download and flash the Google Apps pack available through CM7. Use CWM to flash it without clearing anything. It will work perfectly.

Yes flash gaaps but reflash the ROM and without rebooting flash gaaps. Otherwise problems are created

I never had problems flashing it separately from the ROM flash.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I installed google apps and everything is working perfectly. Thank you!
yeah but now its time to flash 7.1.
Long time reader, not into posting, so my post count is low.
I have a issue. I flashed IceCream Senseless V1.0 yesterday. My market is not working. I keep getting the force close with the following.
"The application Google Play Store ( Processcom.android.vending) has stopped unexpexpectdly. Please try again."
I was able to download Titanium Back Up from the Market right after the flash. This morning I had notices for updates to apps, I clicked to open them, and thats when the FC startted. I was not able to download the updates.
This is my favorite rom so far. Any thoughts on a fix?
What GApps are you using? I had that problem when using evervolv so I just downloaded the newest GApps and did a full wipe plus a fresh install.

Have you tried clearing data for the Play Store? If so, you may just have to reflash the rom either without wiping or doing a full wipe and flash.

If I'm not mistaken, the rom is based on Sense and Gingerbread so there are no GApps to flash. It's all included, just themed for ICS.
