Not sure, I use GMail and TouchDown for Exchange, so nothing is in mine right now. You can always make a SD card backup to your computer (which is always good to have on hand in case...), delete it, and see what happens.

[Q] HOSED SDCard?

Can anybody tell me why I might be able to see folders when I go through a file explorer on my phone, but when I connect to it with my PC I don't see those folders?
Ex. I flashed a 4.2 ROM and it hosed my SDCard I believe. Lost ability to view files, backed up things to Titanium and didn't see anything when I did that but could see it when I looked through a file explorer on my phone.
Wiped my phone and set back to factory. Reflashed, transferred backedup files back to phone, same issue for some.
Did my appbackup using AppBackUp on my phone and changed the folder name, but that folder will not show when connected to my PC, but again when I look using a file explorer it shows just fine.
One other things I was getting was a "local folder" with the date 12/31/69 when viewing my SDCard on my PC. Nothing in it, but never showed before and had a windows drive logo next to it.
ANY IDEAS!?!?!?!

I do read them and have. Finding the files that were moved wasn't the issue...it's new stuff I was installing or changes I made weren't showing. So basically when I looked at them through Solid Explorer they were there, but when I looked on my PC through USB connection they wouldn't show. BUT, I think I figured it out.

Naw, not root...just simply sdcard folders. But what I did was uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the Nexus and reboot both devices and it seems to be working fine now. Gotta do some other test to see, but if it's still acting funny I might be back. LOL
Thanks for the help.

File Structure

When I updated to 4.2 my files structure was thrown out of wack, folder inside folder inside the same name folder with all of the same directories. I tried twice to move thing to one folder but it is very difficult.
I need to know what the actual structure should be, should everything be in the first 0 folder (for my user) apps, and all other folders currently it is a 0 inside a 0 insides another 0 each level has different app files and saved files. I think a lot of stuff is duplicated also as im reaching my internal memory limit of 32gbs.
I just need a pointer of where everything should actually be so I can spend the time setting it up correctly. I also came across this, wonder if it would delete all duplicates while it does it's thing or if it actually works.

Thanks in advance for any help, I am a computer guy so I do understand what is going on here, I am just not sure the best remedy.
The reason Google did this is because 4.2 added multiple user support. If you had multiple users on your device, the data would be separated in all those different "0" folders. But anyway, after using 4.2 for a while, you will notice stuff you download, app data, etc. being added to /sdcard/ or /storage/sdcard0/ which is the same location. Thats where you want all your stuff.
Yea I understand the multiple user support, but currently I have /sdcard/0/0/0/apps with an apps folder and an images folder inside each of those 0's.

Well like I said, everything on my device simply goes in /sdcard/
You can move it all if you'd like
Yea that's the plan, just needed to know exactly where things should actually be. Going to be a pain but ill get it done.
Thanks.

Cut then paste. Talk about a pain.
you also should update your recovery.
its not like this same topic has been beat into the ground or anything.
I have updated my recovery, and I also did a forum search about this first. Maybe you could point me to a thread about it?

A cursory search for sdcard will get you many results pertaining to the updated directory structure. What follows is but a small sampling of the results.

It's a simple cut and paste to put everything in its proper home. Go to the last nested 0 folder in /data/media/0 and paste everything therein to /data/media/0. After that, delete /data/media/0/0 and you're done.

Thank you for an answer with out an attitude, najaboy.
I never would have thought to search sdcard considering it's internal memory but thank you for pointing me in the correct direction.

[Q] SD Card files

Im having problems trying to delete a folder, when I try delete the folder, it doesn't delete. Ive tried so many different file managers like ES, astro and root explorer etc but they either doesn't delete or it says delete failed. I don't really want to format my card but is there a way I can delete the folder?
Which folder are you talking about?
Its just my own folder, it has Arabic files in them. For some reason when I want to delete that folder it doesn't actually let me delete. These files are just text and images. Not app related files or anything
Probably a virus. You have to delete it using a computer and an app I forgot what it was called.

If you do remember what it is called, please do get back to me, I would rather not format my whole SD card
Here, try this.

did that, add the file and restarted the phone but it didnt work, try with the app, same result
EDIT: Solved by clearing data/cache from album app.
I'm signing on late here, but the app File Copy will hide those kind of files if you don't want to delete them. (The name is deliberately misleading.) It's in the Play Store.

I just keep a .nomedia file handy somewhere where it is not in the way, and copypaste it when- and whereever necessary. No need for PC, no need for anything. Some file explorers also let you create files on the go.
But I would very much like to get rid of the flikr, play-memories and other integrated crap folders. any ideas?

.ZW files not showing up

Hi all,
Using Android File Transfer, I dropped a few .zw files I had into a folder called templates within a folder called ZooperWidget on my SD card. However, they are not showing up in zooper for me. I can see them in the file manager app and when I click on them, it says there's no "matching file type viewer."
Any help?
EDIT: I'm using the PRO version btw

Did you create the folder or was it already there?
Another thought: The files might also have been corrupted during transfer. Try either downloading them directly on your device or transferring them via USB.

Thanks for the reply!
I created the folder myself. I'll try downloading them directly so.
So I downloaded from dropbox and when it opens from dropbox, I'm asked to import it. When I try and import it, I get a "null" report.
EDIT: Never mind, it still saves. Thank you!
