Hi Guys,
My proximity sensor has broken (again ) and I need to unroot my phone and flash it back. I've been looking around and apparently I can use an RUU to get it back to stock however I'm not sure of which one to use. I'm in the UK and its on t-mobile unlocked.
Also will this get rid of clockwork recovery and put it back to stock too?
How do you know when your proximity sensor breaks?
Well the screen doesn't turn off in a call, also tested it with mysensors app, its happened before
Can anyone help me?

Hi guys,
The front panel on my phone is no longer working. Not sure why..First my home button went dead...then the menu, back and search buttons decided not to work. Does anyone have any idea why this might have happened or a solution?

Well, first of all, I would wipe and reflash your current ROM, or even try a different rom like cm6 before nandroiding back to your current rom. If your front buttons don't work there, then it's a hardware-level issue and you need to send it to t-mobile or HTC.
So, the phone was working perfectly. I was on ARHD 6.1.1 with the default kernel. All of sudden the screen has stopped working. The touchscreen works well, as in i can still unlock the phone by swiping across the screen and everything seems to working but the display is just black.
So, it started working again randomly, but another hour or so and it is gone again. Both these times this issue happened when Nes.Emu(nes emulator app) was running on the phone. Could it have to do something with that? If it comes back on again i think i am gonna uninstall nes.emu.
Anyone?? I am truly lost. And the fact that i have installed a custom rom means the warranty is void.
Anyone?????
Cmon someone?? I really am desperate for some sort of advice.
If i were to take it to HTC would they refuse to fix it(for free) cause of the ROM i installed. If i manage to flash a stock rom, go to stock recovery and relock the bootloader will HTC still charge me or would they cover it in their warranty then?
Hello all,
I just received my shiny new HOX yesterday and it was working very well at first, however last night I updated it to the latest firmware (with Sense 4.1) and now it will not connect to the mobile network at all (no bars, won't find any networks when I manually search). I have noticed that it seems to be stuck in airplane mode.
Under airplane mode in the settings page it says "off", then a few seconds later it will say "turning off...", then it will go back to saying "off" and then back to "turning off.." and so on. I think it must be a bug in the firmware because I have tested the sim card in another phone (worked fine), and it was working fine before the update.
The only way to see if it is a bug in the firmware (as far as I am aware) would be to install a different ROM. However, I cannot find any way to install a new ROM (custom or stock) without unlocking the bootloader and therefore voiding the warranty (which I don't want to do in case it turns out to be a hardware issue).
I should also add that I could return the phone, but I would like to leave that as a last resort because I live in the middle of nowhere and trying to post stuff if a pain in the ass (and expensive).
I have also tried both a hard and soft reset, with no luck.
This is my first HTC device so I don't really know what I'm doing (although I have plenty of experience rooting and flashing my S2)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
same prob
i've the same problem since the last update. hope it will fixed soon.

I'm glad I'm not the person having this problem . Does anyone know if it is definitely a firmware issue? (I might feel more confident about flashing a custom ROM if that's definitely the problem)
Anybody?
Maybe something went wrong with the OTA flash?
First thing HTC will do is flash the RUU to ensure it's back to stock. It will delete all your data, but it's worth a go.
You can use adb backup.
My NFC worked fine when I was on stock, rooted, and unlocked bootloader. When I "Custom ROM'ed" My NFC didn't work on the custom ROM flashed(CM 10.2 Nightly). But it didn't bother me due to it being a custom ROM and all. But I lgpnst(spelled right?) Back to stock ZVC and the NFC is not working. It makes me switch it on but when I leave the setting then return it turns back off. How can I fix this issue?
Thanks.

Hi, guys im having some issues and would like some expertise. Okay so i have an s4 the model is m919v but the model is unrelated to the problem. I was running custom roms and have been for a few months and i have a phone that has a locked sim. I heard from someone that i can flash an older version of my modem and get the service menu to unlock... point is i did it and it didnt unlock BUT THATS NOT MY ISSUE. I decided to then revert to stock because my phone was being really glitchy after i tried the unlock. Now i restored my phone and got a custom recovery installed a custom rom that was working flawlessly before is now also being glitchy the same way after i tried to unlock it,
These are some glitches im experiencing:
1) phone app is taking a long time to load and it doesnt type in numbers fast
2) when i call someone it just freezes and i cant go to the call screen
3) no notification sounds coming from my phone it just vibrates but doesnt ring
and im sure a few more
IM SURE THESE HAPPENED AFTER I WENT INTO THE SERVICE MENU AND TRIED TO UNLOCK MY DEVICE.
Someone please tell me what i can do to fix this because ive already reverted to stock once.

You just might want to re-flash the stock rom and before rebooting, clean all the cash and do a factory restore. That should restore the operation to your device.
Only your Pure stock roms will contain any of the modem/boot stuff, if my information is correct.
Aloha and Good Luck!
