Bootanimation - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so here's the question I've created and posted multiple bootanimations and I was wondering if someone knew how to get the bootanimation to load a preview on my posts so I don't have to record on youtube and post a link. I have tried converting the animation to an animated .gif file but it is too large to load on the forum. Anyclues?

lol how big is the gif? you know theres site/programs to compensate the gif's quality to make it a better file size

Do you mean like this? Found these over HERE:
These are some of Dysgenic boot animations.
Looks like he used Dropdbox to host a link to his .gif animations, heres what the link looks like: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19412696/AndroidGlow1.gif then just use the [* ] with *IMG and */IMG before and after the link and thats it.

Fyi new boot animations

I know some people may not look at this other thread (Andriod Development and Hacking) so I thought I would post a little preview up here for the DesireZ/G2 users, I have no part in developing any of the following boot animations, I'm just another satisfied users sharing something I found and like.
All the credit for the following work goes to Dysgenic.
I can confirm the animations work great on our DesireZ/G2, just use the 480 x 800 zip files and follow the threads instructions on applying them to our phones, I used the ADB method in the OP post. Here is the LINK to the thread if you want to apply these sick boot animations.
Heres a preview of his boot animations:

Nice, me too. I flashed the AndroidParticles2.

[Q] Where can I find a good supply of boot animations?

Besides the list on Supernova, where can I find a supply of boot animations to check out? Running Bonsai 3.0.0 and EXT4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905538
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696193
and a lot more that i cant find links to right now but most good thing is to just look around the theme forum for android and not specifically epic4g
So most of the "Android" boot anis should work with Bonsai and EXT4?

Yep. Just download one of the supernova (or any cwm3 compatible) boot anis from our epic 4g forum and replace the bootanimation.zip with whatever zip file you downloaded from another forum (after renaming the one you downloaded to bootanimation.zip) and you should be good to flash it.

I just looked at it. It's very low resolution (270x480). Would look like crap when scaled up to 720p (720x1280). Also, your zip was in the form of a clockworkmod script, which won't work across all devices (and roms) due to the way samsung changed the bootanimation stuff.
But, FWIW, I "ported" just the bootanimation.zip to 720x1280, and fixed the infinite bootloop bug for the S3 by restricting the last part to 8 loops (~4 seconds):
sega_sonic_720x1280_bootanimation.zip
I converted the mp3 to ogg and put it in /system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg which is the name samsung's /system/bin/samsungpowersoundplay looks for, but, it plays AFTER the bootanimation finishes, so that's pointless. Here's the file anyway:
sega_sonic_PowerOn.ogg
Worked fine here, but it's not my thing.
