It happened to me a few times while on stock Froyo 2.2.
I turned it on in the settings menu, but if that did not help I used the power menu (holding down power). Sometimes it took a minute to work.
Also try soft reset (and/or hard reset) and if that not helps, contact your carrier.

In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Go to the last option.. I forgot the name. And click on reset configuration.. It will do a factory reset.
Note : All data on internal memory will be wiped.
You could just reflash using pcc or seus using the repair function when phone is in flash mode.
This will install new software and delete all files of phone.
If all else fails try this.

I think Loosing signals isn't matters with upgrading it because it is official upgrade from HTC, so what should you do is backup your data, power off your device, than hold volume down+power button for few seconds, the menu will appear and choose factory reset.
You can choose menu by up down volume key and to select hit power button up there.
If matter isn't solved go and claim your warranty..
nothing happened..

to hard reset your phone you just need to power off your phone and then press the power button + vol down, at this point you want to select factory reset and then press power button to confirm, that's it
i have here htc one m8n i cant hard reset not working the combinations
Unplug phone. Power on. I don't care if it looping just make sure it is on. Vol up and power exactly 10 sec. Let go of both. Vol down and power to enter bootloader. Usually about 4 seconds.

Hi, I factory reset my HTC One m8, and now when I turn it on it just gets stuck loading. I took it to Vodafone but they wouldn't do anything to it because it had a tiny nick on the side. The guy in the shop also didn't know what to do. I only FR because I wanted to give it to my mum and now I can't use it at all. Any help would be great ...thank you

Do you have custom recovery like TWRP installed when you do factory reset ? Usually this bootloop happens when the factory reset done but not with stock recovery installed.
Htc one m8
I don't even know what that is =/ so I guess not. Is there any way it can be resolved? All I can do it get to the factory reset options or turn it off...

I see .. it is not rooted and pure stock ROM I guess.
I don't know whether any RUU available for your device version.
Can you tell what's written on bootloader, the OS no. ?
It's getting late here, I'll check your info tomorrow.
Maybe someone else will help you too later.
Htc one m8
So I turn it on and it comes up with a white box saying unfortunately settings has stopped or unfortunately the process com.Android.settings has stopped. I press OK and it keeps saying the same...
Any suggestions?
Same problem...with my HTC One M8, after i tried to update the software....shows ***LOCKED*** at FastBoot, which does not work, and later gets stuck at htc ONE logo
thank you sir
Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a very weird issue with my beloved HTC Desire (rooted). Starting from this morning, the phone keeps rebooting and, when not rebooting, keeps turning on and off the screen (like if you keep pressing the power button while the phone is turned on) every 10/15 seconds.
I've also noticed that the phone volume, sometimes, turns down to "vibrate" automatically.. Because of this I thought "the volume key must be stuck more than usual", but if I press volume UP and volume DOWN, they seem to work (please note that both the buttons are not working properly, I have to press them very hard in order to make them work... I'm used to it because they began to be problematic after approx. 1 year of "duty").
I've already tried to reflash the ROM, wiping data and factory resetting, but the issue persists.
Here are some info about my HTC Desire (Bravo)
- Boot: Revolutionary - HBOOT-6.93.1002
- Radio: 5.17.05.23
- ROM: MildWild CM-8-0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453287)
Unfortunately at the time of writing, my phone seems to be freaking out more than ever, and I cannot access any other useful info.
Please let me know if there's something specific you need to know or other info you need me to provide, help my buddy to come back to life!
Thank you

Hi lilsafbig, thank you for your reply. I tried your suggestion, but unfortunately there are no viruses in my sd/phone. The only thing that was flagged as virus is the ROM zip that I used to flash the rom..
:crying: any other suggestion? Thanks
