i have the ebay andida 2000mah hero battery and i got a google io evo on friday. the model number of the stock hero battery is the same as the stock evo battery (despite the difference in color). also the battery sizes and power ratings are both the same. so i put the andida 2000mah battery in the evo and it works fine.
here is a link for reference:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390187525611
does it fit without needing a replacement back cover?
yeah, the form factor is exactly the same
How much longer does it last compare to the stock battery?
This is awesome! I love my 2000mAh battery, and now I can bring it from my Hero to my Evo!

that is a good question nobody knows for sure, there are many opinions. it seems to last a bit longer, but i wouldn't say it's a huge improvement.
I'll bite! For $9.99, I'm willing to take a chance. Thanks for the link!
Lots of discussion about this battery on other forums. I found a website before (can't find it now though... duh!) that goes into great details on all the batteries made of this size, and this performed the worst of them iirc.
With that said I have it, and I think it performs about at a stock level, and for $10 it's hard to beat.
No better than stock
I have that battery in my TP2 and it does not perform any better than the stock 1500 mAh battery. I don't think I'd place too much stock in a Chinese battery company to calculate and give accurate mAh ratings. Good to know that I can keep my extra battery for the EVO though!
Yes it doesn't seem much better than the stock battery
for 10 bucs i grabbed one also..at least ill have an extra battery now..im sure ill need it,..
It was tested and its actually 1100 mAh. Lower than the stock battery.

+1 Yep.
If you guys are in the market for cheap replacement batteries grab two batteries plus an external charger from ebay for $10-$12. You will get the same life as that "2000 mAh battery" except you get two.... and a charger.

Right...we need to keep in mind that HTC is a German company...oh wait.
I clicked that link and up popped the 2 batts and charger for 9.98 shipped. I couldn't resist...so I have them now too. Thanks OP. I guess this means I am really giving up my iPhone...I have to pay the $70 ETF..but I guess I can keep the phone and try to sell it. I was so frustrated...3 months when I upgraded the software it fried my wifi and I was really hoping iOS4 would fix it..but to no avail...so as far as I'm concerned I guess it's EVO for me for the next 2 years... by the way..I got the limited edition seidio case off of Amazon...and I am lovin' it!

I don't really believe any battery that is the same size and claims to get more juice for that cheap. If it was easily (read: cheaply) done, HTC would have gone with it in the first place to help the all to often (with smartphones) "battery life" issue.
I have a 2300mAh battery for my G1, I know it's bigger because:
A) It has allowed the phone to last incredibly long.
B) It's almost twice as thick.
Search galaxy s 4g battery click samsung go down to only 1650 s4g battery!
i can't find one, u mind posting a link?

1650mAh battery
People, i found a seller out of Slovenia (i know sounds like a Hostel movie) he is selling genuine 1650mAh batteries for approx $35 after reading his buyers comments and inspecting the images I took the plunge. The battery took forever to get to me but I did finally get it, and it was a genuine 1650mAh Samsung battery my battery life has been so much better. I’ve went from getting 8-12 hrs a day to getting 16-20 hrs of battery life on average. Once i log into my eBay account ill post the link from my finished transaction

Lol, makes sense to me. A year or so of daily charging and discharging would definitely wear down a battery's efficiency and overall capacity, so a new battery, even the same model battery would make a difference. Perhaps not the difference that was mentioned, but it's definitely not implausible
So far NONE of these 1650 MaH batteries have the same part number as my wife SGS4G battery. It looks like they are all fakes.

so here is the Ebay Aution that i bought the battery from:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260782828785&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
the seller is very easy to communicate with and the battery life on a rooted Vibrant running a GB ROM my first full power cycle after flashing and clearing the battery cache in recovery is 19hrs. i expect the battery life to get better as the ROM and the Phone gel. But as i said before even before I installed the ROM I was getting 16-20 hrs of battery life (on average) with the 1650mAh battery

yea i understand that but i cant argue with the results of the battery that I've received in the mail it says 1650 on it and im experiencing better battery life as a matter of fact Friday afternoon around 2:30pm July 8th 2011 i took the phone off the charger at 100% and now at 5:20pm Saturday July 9th 2011 my battery is at 11% that's over 24hrs (I've never had that before with my original 1500mAh battery) so while the bar-codes and all that don't match up, i'm happy with the product. And if it really is a 1500 dressed up like a 1650 as long as i get around 20 hrs a day on the phone it doesn't bother me
Are they selling the 1650 in t-mobile stores? Couldn't find in my local stores.
not that i can find
My local T-Mobile corporate store has a policy of swapping batteries for free if you are having problems with yours since they always have a bunch of extra batteries from returns and warranty exchanges. I went in with my two 1500 mAh batteries and asked them nicely if I could swap them for two 1650's from their Galaxy S 4G returns, and they did it for free. Your mileage may vary, of course.
Just because the battery is not the same as SGS 4G does not necessarily mean it is fake. The i9010 (Armani) and i9003 are SGS phones that also ship with a 1650mah battery.
Hey guys browseing Amazon or GS2 accessories and I came across the Anker 1900mAh battery.
Now ive had the Anker 1900 on the Sensation and its legit a beast of a battery with extra juice, anyone used this for the GS2?
why not just wait a few weeks and buy the proper 2000mah battery??
iam sure samsung would have made a battery this size if possible rather then build extra back covers due to the 2000mah battery they have designed
basically i dont think anker could squeeze another 300mah into the battery at no extra size , its probably not what it says it is and i would go the official route , i have found all these cheap batterys to be useless in my times of owning mobile phones
to sum it up just buy the offical 2000mah battery from samsung or the bigger one from mugen if you want better battery life
look for anker 2300maH on ebay for $12-14 . buy it and make a review
tempted!
im very tempted. amazon uk has an offer for 2 and dockcharger and travel charger for £13. Even if its 80% of original battery i would be happy. But seems like a new release..not 1 review...
I would get the official samsung one but i have the perfect a leather, carbon fibre cases. would it fit in there? i don;t know...will i find an equivalent case that fits it...i don't no. If only if they had a demo version with new battery in a highstreet store i could try putting my case on,
ohh this make has had some reviews from same phone and different phones

Eug measured the capacity one of the spider foot batteries as 2413 mAh.
Even though it is well under the stated rating there is nothing that touches it for value. USD $10 for a 2413 mAh battery is a fantastic deal.

My experience will be subjective, but I've been using 1900mah Anker batteries for the last 2 weeks. They are OK. With original battery I get 12-13 hours when everything ON! With Anker approximately 16-17 hours.

Hi, I was wondering what the highest capacity battery was without having to replace the back cover?
I know of the anker 1900mah, what about the Samsung 2000mah? Also, what do you guys think of buying no name batteries that are advertised as 1900mah?
I've bought no name batteries for my HTC incredible s before, I bought an 1800mah battery which gave me the exact same battery life as a 6 month old stock 1450mah battery, so thoughts?
EDIT: I'm a stickler for thinness so even if a back plate adds 1mm to it, i don't want it, I've had enough of my thick as stars HTC incredible s
the samsung 2000mah battery gives you a new back cover and makes your phone a little bid thicker, but not much. Most hard cases will still tightly fit
This would be your best option, as you are sure it will be 2000mah.
I myself got the 1900mah anker battery and dont really see any difference with it... It is about the same as stock. My 2000mah battery is arriving soon ^^
There are enouf pictures/movies of the 2000mah batter, there you can see how big it is I myself think it will make the phone easyer in the hand
Do instead of it having a bulge at the bottom, now everywhere is as thick as the bulge?

yes!
I only get 2.5 hours screen on time with data most of the time off with my 1900 anker battery, which is same/worse than default battery.
I think your safest/best choice is the samsung's official 2000mah battery. Do know that many slim cases wont fit anymore.
You can clearly see the size here:

Oh yes, since I'm getting a slightly bigger case along with the 2000mah battery, why not get something with even more capacity? What's the largest capacity that will fit in the back plate that comes with the 2000mah extended battery?

2000 mah
You can buy even bigger ones, but they will be 2-3x bigger in size.
And if 3rd party batterymakers say it holds 3500 mah, it actually is only 2500.
Size-quality wise, the official is the best by far!
And if you are really scared of running out of batteries when you are on vacation or something, just get a 2nd battery? This way you can switch battery whenever you want. And you will always have a spare fully charged battery with you

alright cool, thanks lots for your help, been mostly an androidforums Guy, don't come here often
I have quite contrast opinion and experience on Anker battery on my SGS2. It mathematically holds some 16% more juice, but actually performs with 20-25% improvement. My friend who bought one for his Note (both orig and Anker are 2500mAh) says Anker holds up 15% longer (orig would drain every day between 7 and 8 pm, and Anker holds for another hour and a half, approx). It fits your original back cover, and I think it is worth trying.

Oh that sounds good, but don't companies like Anker, Chichitec and mugen "overadvertise" their battery capacities? A 1900mAh would be maybe a 1500mAh and a 1800mAh would be a 1400mAh?
Oh and did you compare your Anker 1900mAh to a new stock battery or one that's maybe 6 months old?
get the 2000 mah battery from samsung, its great, doesnt make the phone any thicker but it makes enough of a difference mate!

Anker is not overadvertisig its batteries like some Chinese factories. When I first tested Anker, my stock battery was some 3 months old. You should know that Anker batteries (as well as stock ones) need some 5 complete charges to start to act fully with their capacity, so do the test not the same moment when you buy the battery, but after 5-6 charges. I am using Anker battery now 99% of the time, and keep my stock one at home, full, just in case I need the phone full urgently. Every time I keep stock battery in phone I can see how it's depleated faster, so Anker is still better than stock one, some 8 months after using it heavily.
My stock battery is always on 15-20% at the end of the working day (from 8am to 22h-midnight), empty by midnight on weekends. Anker can withstand one day + night + morning shift on working days, and full day on the weekend, with some juice left.
Oh, and I use battery circle with % on it, so I can pretty accurately monitor
how fast is my battery draining while on internet, watching video, playing games (you don't see the % during the game, but you see it before and after), calling etc.

i think the best extended battery you could get without any noticeable/annoying bulges, is the legit 2000mAh from Samsung.. it does not cost that much considering that it is not some hoax and it also comes with their custom back cover for the extended batter.. I don't trust Chinese products entirely
Hey guys with so many options and reviews I am so confused on which battery to get. Currently I have the 4200 hyperion battery but honestly it is way to big for me and I miss the slim GS3 feel. So whats the best standard battery to get, should I get an regular Samsung 2100 or maybe the anker 2200? Also what is the best slim charging case out there? I found one on ebay for 16 but dont know how reliable that will be.
I'd say get the Anker 2200, slight improvement over stock while keeping the original size.
Okay cool and, whar, kind, of external, charger, case, do you recommend?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I don't really use charging cases so I wouldn't know. I use the Anker 4400 so I don't need any charging devices, personally I don't really find it adds that much bulk with extended batteries.
I just bought a cheap 2300mha replacement battery + an external charger on Ebay. Total costs were like 6 Euros. I will test them and provide you with details once they get to me

I saw some pictures of the 3000 battery on one site but showing that Samsung has not released it yet I don't know if I should use that as guide material. However, the picture shows that the battery is ever so slightly thicker. Your phone may work on a soft case but a hard case, not so much. But eh, we will see once it comes out. COME ON SAMSUNG LETS GET IT OUT HERE!
I have found out from Samsung website themselves that the new 3000 battery will come with an extended cover so it will increase in size for sure. So any other choices for slim battery if not i think i might go with the anker 2200 over the OEM!
