I am running RA recovery 2.21 and recently I been having trouble flashing themes for cm 6.12.. I have gotten the following errors 'E: missing file. System/app/rom manager.apk' also 'E: wrong digest. And both are followed by 'E: verification failed. Installation aborted' any one know what is going on? I also couldn't flash the new Gingerbread keyboard cus' it said I was missing the latinime.apk' any help would be appreciated.
For the verification failed make sure you toggle off the the verification signed in recovery

You mean toggle signature verification right? Everytime I disable it, it says that unsigned items may currupt my system.

Did i really simlocked my phone to my network? i tried flashing a certain rom which gave up an E:\ signature error, i flashed a couple of roms before and nandroided back to my previous 3.1 rom, all went fine, im 99% sure i cant simlock the handset but just want to be sure.
is this error appears when the package isnt signed as it should be?! or should i fear the worst?!
It says:
E: No signature
E: Verification failed
Your error message says that the ROM is unsigned - you can't flash an unsigned image unless you have an S-OFF SPL.
If you open and save a ROM ZIP file, you will need to sign it again because you will have "destroyed" the signature.
Regards,
Dave
If you are rooted you can use unrevoked or fake flash to flash an unsigned zip. They both use clockworkmod recovery which doesn't check for a signature.
Hi guys. I got this error while trying to flash MIUI_Au.1.1.28.R2-signed:
Verifying update package...
E: Wrong digest:
system /bin/busybox.a2sd
E: Verification failed
Installation aborted
I never encountered such a problem w/ LeeDroid, and I'm sure I downloaded from a reliable source (http://www.miui-au.com).
I did try to forage around for a similar topic, but the other wrong digest threads from 2009 were only flashing themes, and did not contain anything helpful.
What might've gone wrong?
PS. I did all the wipes required before flashing MIUI (data, cache, dalvik cache, batt stats).
Is the verification enabled and not disabled?
Sorry, what does verification enabled mean?
in recovery mode (amonra)go to "other" and toggle "disable verification", in clockwork recover is the same menu enty but you must search for it in the menu
Thanks! That did the trick! Wow, that step was missing even in MIUI-AU.com and the other MIUI threads here.
Oh great (groan)! Now MIUI_Au ROM install is caught in a loop. Been an hour already, and it keeps going back to the "Logcat" screen, and repeats it over and over.
Am doing a Nand Restore and flashing a different ROM.
Just flash it again.
Ok i flashed my S2 to XXKG1 then flashed with CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_KG1-v4.1-CWM4.tar
I then flashed with GT-I9100_ClockworkMod-Recovery_4.0.1.4.tar
I have CWM app and SuperUser App and Rom Manager Premium.
I backed up my ROM fine using CWM app. I downloaded CyanogenMod from Rom Manager. Picked Install from SD. my phone askes me to backup and clear cach, when the phone reboots it just reboots to android with a (/!\ android man) Image. If i press vol key the menu will appear clockworkmod recovery v4.0.1.4 (its orange).
error:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aboarted
Thats as far as i can get, if i chose install zip from sd and select the cm_galaxys2_full-64.zip
error:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aboarted
What am i doing wrong here? Im rooted, i have CWM, i have the ROM, ????
Now i'm not a SGS2 user, but IMHO you should:
a) try to download the ROM file again, maybe something went wrong and the file you have downloaded is incomplete or damaged;
b) disable signature check from CWM.
Thanks for replying. wers disable sig check in cwm i cant see it lol

Do you have premium version of RomManager? I heard doing stuff from recovery can cause problems through there. And CM7 is still in beta debugging mode so i would not install till there is a stable version. Bluetooth does not work on it everything else does but still not as stable as it should be...
Try flashing a different rom you can find quite a few close to cm7 in the thread section of gs2
Tried a different rom got exactly the same,
I bought rom manager yes
Hi, I'm facing the same problem with SGS2 GT I9100 running on XXKG6
I'm new, so can't post links, Please google disabling CWM Signature check.
Supposedly disabling the signature verification on CWM should fix the issue.
I'll need to get home and check if this fixes the problem or not.
please let me know if this works for you!!
I just flashed my phone to use the EG31 packed .tar file system, and I flashed the CWM 5 release that was also repacked with the EG31 kernel.
However, when I go to flash the included .zip for SU in that post, I get this error:
Code:
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.7
--Installing: /sd/card/Superuser-3.0.6-efgh-signed.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...

*****************************
Superuser 3.0.6 for Android 2.0-3.2
*****************************
Mounting SYSTEM...
Deleting SYSTEM:bin/su...
E: Error in /sdcard/Superuser-3.0.6-efgh-signed.zip
(Status 0)
Installation aborted.
I am not sure what I am doing, I have flashed the tar'ed package twice, and tried flashing the CWM recovery twice, tried installing superuser from the internal sd card, and the external sd card, both fail, only difference in the error is the file path.
I am not sure why it is failing, this is the same method I used when I originally rooted my system, and from the looks of it, nothing should have disallowed root access.
Has anyone else experienced problems? If so, how did you fix it? Could anyone recommend me a way to gain root access again?
Try rebooting your phone them flash the su zip, Also when you get installation aborted immediately try flashing it again. I get that too, but on second try it works. Maybe it'll work for you too.

Have you figured it out yet. When building my stuff, I got the same thing., status 0.... I would toggel the script asserts to enable and things flash fine.

Boot into ClockworkMod, and select the option "Install zip from SDCard", and under that menu you will see the option "Toggle signature verification". Completely different phone but had the same issue

Hello ..... I'm trying to install CyanogenMod ROM on My 10.1 2 N7100 Galaxy Note previously and I am root and I followed all the steps you need to do for the installation, but when I'm in recovery mode and give it to install the file from the SD few seconds later I get the following error ..
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
My menu is so different that last part where it says: "Installation aborted", does not appear.
Maybe I have not installed the Recovery Version required for this installation, because even in the menu options do not appear as I have seen in other tutorials, for example:
The option "ADVANCE" to Wipe Dalvik Cache do
if anyone has answers I would be very grateful,
Greetings and thanks in advance
Sorry for my bad English
you download the recovery-twrp-2.3.2.3-N7100
then flash via odin it's working...

"This operation may install incompatible
software and render your device unusable"
Folder:
/sdcard

Note** the above is a different version of yours which it is: cm-10.1-201302718-NIGHTLY-n7100
Or you can simply try redownloading your own file again.
