I have the Twitter widget on my home screen.
I have unchecked several times the "Synchronize Peep" box in the General Parameters\Accounts and synchronization\Twitter for HTC Sense.
I have also unchecked the "Update when opened" box and set the "Update frequency" to manual.
But the widget still continues to auto-update and regularly when I check the parameters I notice that "Synchronize Peep" is checked again.
I think it's a bug. Have you noticed the same issue? Or is there any way to solve that?
Thanks.
I've just made a test: I had unchecked the boxes and it seemed to stay unchecked.
I've rebooted and the boxes are checked again.
I can't confirm that it happens only after a reboot. I'll have to follow that closely.
Even if you have no solution I would like to have your feedback to confirm if that issue comes from me/my phone or if it's a general bug.
Well ... after 4 days of tests and controls I can definitely conclude that this is a bug that occurs after each reboot.
Good thing that I don't reboot often but I'll go uncheck the boxes after each reboot from now on (though not very practical).
Too bad no one could confirm that this bug is happening on their devices too. But it seems I'm the only one in the world to use Twitter widget (I knew I was a very unique person but not that much ).
I think it is more that not many people use Sense so don't use HTC's Peep. Maybe look for alt Twitter widgets as you can confirm ur bug by replicating. Launcher Pro Plus has one very similar to Peep.

EDIT.... Sorry, that is Twitter only, there is also the same thing for Twitter + FB, called Friends, it's exactly the same though.

I installed Energy last night on my EVO. Anyway, as I was setting it up I found that the wallpapers were not displaying correctly. It happens on every screen that has that same type of 3D selection. Any ideas?

Have to switch it to grid mode. It's a bug in all sense 3.5 roms on the EVO 4g. There is a fix but it makes the rom unstable when you reboot

That was it. Thanks!
[Q] Facebook Contact Sync?
I just found another issue. In the older version of Sense it has "Facebook for Sense", but now it just uses the Facebook app itself. Well, since I have been on this rom, none of my Facebook contact's pictures have been syncing correctly. It shows that Facebook (and Google) are linked, but none of their pictures are showing up. The 3-4 people that have Google pictures work, however.
Anything special I need to do? I have already tried removing Facebook and readding, but it hasn't helped.
Hi, my phone has been periodically waking up as seen in the screenshots below.

I've gone through all of my installed apps and made sure that they arent refreshing, etc. at any frequent period (facebook and android weather were the biggest abusers, but I turned refresh off and to 6hrs respectively). I cant find any other apps that would be waking the device up, but its still being woken up about every 7 min. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
I seem to be having the same problem since the jelly bean update At first I though it was the steam app the one awaking the phone, but it doesn´t seem to be the case. Right now I´m blaming Google Now as I see no other suspects, but I´m not really convinced... It looks like it only happens when I have data connection or wifi on. If I disable all data, the problem seems to dissapear.

Ok so I just realized that Tapatalk was set to check for updates every 30 min. I changed that to 12 hrs, but that still doesnt explain the rate of awakes that I was seeing. Could it be google sync? I thought there used to be a place to set the sync interval, but I cant seem to find it in JB...
use better battery stats to look at what's keeping the phone awake
Is anyone else having the problem where your phone only shows "Voice Calls" taking 100% of the battery usage after taking a call?
Ive hard reset the phone twice and before i make a call there are many things in the Battery Use fiels like Android system, Screen display, Music, WIFI, etc but after i take a call they all disapear and only "Voice Calls" is listed.
Its not bothering me or anythin gbut i would like to know if anyone else have this issue as i like to track whats using the most power throughout the day.
Can you post a screen shot of your battery usage screen? Hold power button and then press the home button to take a screenshot.

Thank you for confirming, i was about to hard reset my phone again because i thought disabling all the bloatware and installing a few apps that needed root caused my phone to go nuts.
Thank you again.
Edit:
Looks like mine worked it self out. After installing Temple run 2 and gaming for about an hour straight last night i decided to check again before i went to sleep and it fixed itself.
Hi there,
I've currently got my G3 rooted, but on stock and I am using CloudMagic instead of the stock mail app. I don't remember exactly when this happened, but right now, I have to open the app before it goes checking for new mail, while previously it just got pushed and I got a notification.
I am using Titanium Backup (froze some stock LG and Google apps), Greenify (double checked I didn't hibernate CloudMagic) and battery doctor and it's CPU management function to save some juice.
I really need my mail on time for business reasons, so any suggestions would be really helpful!
Is cloudmagic running in the background? (Does it show up in greenify as a backgroud process?) if it does, maybe you just deactivated the notifications. If you have deactivated synchronisation in the settings, cloudmagics push eill not work anymore. The same happens below 5% battery i think.
Yes it is running in the background (checked Greenify). Auto sync is also enabled so I'm not sure what the issue can be.

Well you can see that it's not always running (5h vs 15h on whatsapp) on my phone i have the exact same numbers for cloudmagic and whatsapp
Ah I see, so I'm guessing one of my apps is shutting it down, correct? I also tried to reinstall the app but to no avail.
My guess would be clean master since it has some backgroud process killing feature (i don't use it, only read it on the internet).just tryif it works without it.
Found the problem! It was battery doctor that killed it. Everything works great now. Thanks for helping out, really appreciate it!
I have an S20 Ultra on T-Mobile, and the media share function acts like it has no memory. The quick select doesn't work, it's like I'm sharing for the first time every time so I have to choose the app and recipient. I've already cleared the cache for quick share and made sure direct share is turned on. Any idea if there's any way to make it remember the apps and contacts, or if there's any settings I need to change to make it work like it did on my Pixel 2 XL?

I had a somewhat similar problem. In my case, I had only 2-3 contacts that never got updated with the recent people I was interacting with.
What helped is to go into the album app and enabling access to contacts (if I remember correctly). After that the quick sharing part started working again..

Do you mean gallery app? I tried that, and it didn't seem to help.
Got a security patch a day or two ago, and as of today the share option was working again. Mysterious ways.
Coming from S10+ this is really frustrating. Share menu is a mess and in any app that I want to share photos it never remembers my top contacts or even top apps.
