Is there a way to make the youtube widget switch between specific types of videos like the android news widget?? It would be great if it would work custom like the stock android widget.

I heard from several of my friends who own Acer / HTC devices that there's supposed to be a native google calendar widget. However, on my i9000 I can't find it under either Android Widgets or Samsung widgets.
I downloaded a calendar widget from the market, but it doesn't look as good as the "native" one my friend showed me. Any idea where one could obtain that particular widget?
i couldnt find one either, the samsung widgets overall are very poor compared to sense UI, some of the apps are quite nice, but need more widgets.

i find this quite annoying too.. I'm now using smooth calendar from the market.
Did samsung block some of the native android widgets? or just not include? would we be able to install them without root?
I'm gonna bump this one. I really dislike the non-stock versions I find out there. I just want the stock google one. Please, someone help?
bump,
I would also like a calendar widget. Stock widgets are always better quality than custom ones

Pay version of launcher pro has widgets similar to sense with the exception of the clock.
For the clock, you need the pay versions of either Beautiful Widgets of Fancy Widgets. I know for sure Fancy Widgets has skins to make the clock look identical to the sense clock. It also has screen on animations and weather animations when you open the weather.
A number of third party messenger and calendar apps also have their own widgets.

yea i was watching a video on youtube of fancy widgets but the animation when u unlock the phone does not work right and a another Q how do u put the signature (like the one u have after the line ) in here cuz i been looking around in my profile and i dont see any part for signature
Screen unlock animation worked fine for me. I think beautiful widgets has one too. Neither are as good as sense though. Worth the sacrifice for me though since I don't really like Sense.
Look under quick links at the top of the screen. One of them is edit sig.
I couldn't find a 4x4 widget for the Sense music player that looks as good to use with other launchers, that's my problem with them, I'm not about to switch music players too, Apollo was my favorite but it messes up my album art (I don't know why it has to snatch all my music new covers while I already got them preloaded and some custom ones). Anyway is there a good widget for that?
Another question partly related to that matter, is there a custom rom out there that allows using HTC widgets with other launchers?
Thanks.
No it's sense related so you'd need to use it with Rosie unless some dev can port it otherwise no.
Hi
I hope some one in here is gonna make a video how to use make a nice and simpelt homescreen and lockscreen.
- I'm an old IOS user and went over to android now, but i can't really find any good guides how to make a good homescreen and lockscreen that is simpel and sexy..
Maybe some like the files i have attached.
There is no real guide to do that.
Simply just search for clock widgets in google play or try some different launchers, thats how the two linked homescreens were made
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

Well i've tryed that, but can't really find a nice clock widget i want, and people say i need to use some that is really hard to use.
Cam someone make a transparent clock/weather if they feel up to it ty. Grom the stock
Youre probably going to need root for that. As an alternative, you can get fancy widgets off the play store. Literally hundreds of of them.
