[Video] For those who doesn't like cases :)

I had this on for about a week. I don't like having a case on my phone so this is a good alternative to those who doesn't like cases on their phone. I bought it for about $5-10 on ebay

I didn't put the white over over the screen because I don't think you can see the backlight on the buttons once it's on.
Everything is else is good protecting against unwanted scratches on the body

are you talking about the live wallpaper? it's called 3d matrix, you can find it in the market for free

My captivate had this skin when I bought it. It covered all areas of the phone very well, but the white skin is ultra bright white. The vendor offers other colors & patterns if white isn't your thing

I don't care for cases either....or skins. meh I only need two years out of a phone..scratches don't bug me.

I ordered the carbon skin from them through amazon, will report on it when I get it in a few days.

I ordered the FC Camo one for my phone and I got it today in the matte finish...I like it and the only thing that bothers me is that there is not side pieces included in the kit, so everything is covered except for the sides....the vinyl is thick and adheres well to the phone and it is easy to mold and strech/shrink so that you get the fit you want

18 months is enough for me, then I upgrade. However I still like to know that under the cover, the phone looks like new for when i want to show it off

without the back piece and front piece the skin looks a bit like something out of tron. just the bright hilight around the edge. if i could find some glow in the dark material and do the same thing like that.. well really it would just make me a total nerd but im ok with that. of coase some tron like themeing would have to go with that!

Got my carbon and finally isntalled it. Had all of the pieces and went smooth. Modded it where the 4 buttons are at so I could see and use them easier. Nice skins and works in my Samsung car dock with no issues.

HTC OEM TPU Case REVIEW **NOW UPDATED WITH SMOKED COLOR**

So I browsing at work today and surprised to find OEM TPU cases in stock at daydeal... ordered at work and hope for an early arrival.
will do a photo review when it arrives.

I got it in the mail today, and as promised, picture review.
I ordered the white one, 70H00391-01M, seeing that all the other colors are a bit too "colorful" (DayDeal or HTC America Accessories Store). It came in a plastic clamshell, and now onto the actual product.
Texture: Glossy Smooth... clean edges/seams... way better than some of the eBay TPU...
Fit: Tight fit, very EXACT. not going to slide around inside, not going to pop out.
Color: It's white, almost too white. Will be getting a black/smoked/clear if I see one.
I actually think this is one of the best manufactured TPU case I have seen so far. Clean seams and edges, exact dimensions. Plus, with the case, it is now A LOT easier to find that power button.
PRO: Makes the phone feels way more solid, amazing fit and finish, cutout placements actually make the buttons easier to find.
CON: White doesn't really match with this phone, no alternative color fit for professional usage. Will be getting black/clear/smoked if found.

as I said before, I would be super interested if I find one with better color. One day, I was on HTC UK and saw that they have a smoked color one for IncS. Upon checking the P/N, it turns out that IncS and Inc2 cases share the same number, except for the suffix, which is usually designated for different colors. I decided to jump the gun and ordered one from expandsys. will post review when it arrives.
UPDATE on the white case: it was ruined after being in my jeans for a couple of times... the dye on my jeans killed it!!! never getting another white thing that would seem susceptible to dark colors

The white case makes it look like the perfect smartphone for a storm trooper.

Your pictures inspired me to grab the white OEM case. All of your notes are valid. It is truly a perfect fit, feels great in the hand (not too grippy, not too slick), and is VERY white. I do notice your jean dye comment, however since I rarely wear jeans this will not be a problem for me.
I also ordered the Incipio Feather case in Black. Overall impression is good. It fits great and matches the black on the Inc2 perfectly. It also comes with a screen protector included (which goes on perfectly if the screen is dustfree). The only reason I'm not recommending it is because not only does it not protect the top or bottom, it also does not do anything to protect the front surface. No lip at all.
And finally my first case for the Inc2 was the Seidio Surface case. It is a solid case and will serve many people very well, however I found it slightly too bulky. It made the power buttom sufficiently harder to press (HTC TPU case is more rounded near the power, allowing easier access).
So in the end I decided to keep the HTC TPU case with the Incipio Screen Protector. It provides full protection of the phone and will hopefully serve me well for the next year or so.

I like tthe white one but I frequently wear dark denim bluejeans .. so probably not the best idea lol.

So here's my take on the smoked version:
It's the exact same sizing as the white one, it is good as ever when it comes to fitment. As far as the color goes, the smoked IMO is the best it could offer without looking too stuck out. Black would be too solid if slapped onto the phone, looking like a huge piece of black plastic. I think this smoked option is the best so far if TPU is what you are looking for.
As for myself, I am not too sure on TPU since I feel like it took away some of the phone's sexiness. Hence I am ordering the new hard shell to review next, **without knowing what exactly I am order, no pictures of the product were provided** should come in next week hopefully.

bought em bioth today. when they get in i'll let you know

I just got my white tpu case in the mail, and it's great. It fits more snug than any other cases for this price, and I can lay the phone facedown without worrying about scratching the screen.

Casemate Tough - 2 different versions.

Well I have a casemate tough on my SGS1 and loved it. Its kept my phone safe for the last 2 years. I got my CM toughs in the mail today, one for me and my wife. After installing our new screen protectors, and the new cases, I noticed mine was kind of sharp around the edges, (i think I remember someone saying that theirs was sharp too, and everyone shot him down) and then after looking over hers more closely, realized they are actually a completly different cut (version?), and the textures are different too. Hers feels and looks alot better than mine, and im tempted to contact the Amazon seller, but will probably just live with it. ok onto the pics.

I've had a CM Tough on a previous phone and the blacked out case looks a bit off. The texture and cut of the outer shell plus the cut of the inner liner is off. I don't remember the outer shell of my case having one bit of shine to it. Maybe a knock off?

EDIT: After looking at the case-mate site, the black one actually looks fake. Funny, as I have the identical black one as you and bought it from Amazon.
Edit 2: OP Compare the insides of the cases. Mainly the numbers and the other written details.

dont see why it wouldnt be! ive seen a cple more even with the pink and they look just like mine and yours the one you have with the pink looks funny bc i havent seen one with the power button like that

oh my bad i see that now lol! i have no clue but ive seen prob five or six and they all looked like mine. it saved my phone bc i threw it (not on purpose) and it slide on concrete and it didnt even scratch the case these things are bad a$$

Yeah I def dont think my black one is a knock off, it came from the same amazon seller as my wifes pink case, in the same packaging, and its really well made to be a knockoff, I just noticed it was a different cut and wondered if anyone knew anything about CaseMate making a revised edition. The pink one is def smoother and nicer, and the cut looks a lot more neat and tidy. Does anyone have pics of a black one with the new revised cut?

I kinda like the ones we have better than the pink one ya have :thumbup: great case either way

I ended up taking some very fine sand paper to all four corners of mine, to get rid of the rough parts. now its all smooth and nice. still stupid it came to me that way. I held CaseMate to a higher standard than that.

I was able to just scratch a lil with my finger nail and it was fine but mine wasent bad at all!

I think this one is the best looking one ive seen so far. Might have to place an order for an orange one

i purches both of them, i loved the rock cases on my hox and my S3.
the back only cover arrieved yesterday. great looking, good feeling and perfect match. just a few rather sharp edges, which i removed with my nails.
i got a grey cover for my silver one, looks really great.
i am waiting for the black flip cover . it did not arrieved so far

1. Is the TPU flexible? If so, is it like completely flexible or just a little?
2. Is the case too shiny? Like candy colours (think: Nokia Lumia)?

1. its rather hard, looks not like TPU, hard plastic would i say, but still flex enoth to fit it
2. the grey one is not that shiny, matt i would say

I ordered the black one, and it just arrived today. Bit of a shame I don't have a phone to put in it, because it looks great. It is glossy, but not overboard. Maybe similar to the gloss on the original PS3? But don't quote me on that, I only owned the slim.
My One should arrive tomorrow. Once it does, I'll post up some pictures so you guys can check it out.
As far as Rock cases go though, I had one for my One X and I really liked it. I would def recommend you guys check them out. Or also Capdase. I just got a white case from them today as well. Both very nice. One is glossy, one is matte.

Do you order straight from their website ? I had their case for my s3 and loved it but then a whole ton of knockoffs started coming out.

So my phone arrived, and I had it in the Rock case within about 5 minutes. I'm in Korea for the day, so I'm trying it out. So far: really like it. The case fits like a glove. Doesn't snap on really tight like some, but there is absolutely no movement. I actually prefer this to the ones that make you think you are going to break your phone putting on/taking it off. The black on black looks so good! It's super thin, so the phone shape is maintained. It also has a very slight lip around the edges on the front so you can put it down on it's face, if you want.
The negatives: the black is a fingerprint magnet. I guess that's why they bundled a cloth in the package. The other is I am afraid I'm gonna drop my phone and it will break. I attribute the fear to having just got the phone, as well as being pretty hungover . If I were to drop the phone, the case wouldn't do much to protect it. It's more like a scratch guard.
Anyway, so far I really like it. I bet the coloured ones on the black would look ridiculous good. I'll add pictures when I get some time.

Dropped it from around waist level to the hard ground. No scratch.
So.. when I got One, I quickly try to find a Quicksand series but they don't seem to made it yet.

Search on amazon for the bear motion case. I had the quicksand for my s3 and this bear motion feels just like that.

Thanks, I already ordered something similar from ebay (not bear motion). I believe they came from the same wholesale retailer and slap different brand on it...

MediaDevil Artisan Pouch Review

When I bought my nexus 5 I wanted a pouch, but really didn't find any to my liking . Last week I decided re-search and found a couple real good pouches, but really none what I had in mind. Then I came across a MediaDevil Artisan pouch, didn't really know what to think, like if it was going to be a cheap knock off or bad quality. As I looked into it I found out that this company makes very high quality pouches that I was never aware of. I decided to give it a shot based on amazing reviews. It came in a nice black gift like box and very professionally packaged . Has full grain leather with red stitching ( believe it comes in different colors), the phone fits perfectly in the pouch nice and snug. Not to tight and not to loose. It has micro fiber feel inside of it so when you slip you're phone it cleans the smudges and fingerprints. I would recommend this pouch to anyone who wants a nice look to there phone.

It does. Circular shaped magnet can be seen at the photos embossing under the leather and one of the online reviews confirms it

On your pictures I see you have the black with red stitching case, and inside you have a black phone?
On Media Devil's webpage it says that the black phone is different size to the white or red, therefore they sell cases for black and cases for white/red. And for the black phone there's only one option, grey with pink stitches, not my cup of tea. The case you show on your pictures is meant to be for the white/red phone only. When I first saw this I was sceptical at them, because both phones are the same size, only thing different is the plastic texture.
Can you or anyone else on this thread confirm that you're using a black case with a black phone? Despite the big red warning on Media Devil's website: http://mediadevil.com/us/artisanpouch-leather-pouch-case-google-nexus-5-by-lg.html

the difference, as I've been told by their employee, is the the material used inside, because of the texture difference and the material of the pull-out ribbon, as well as the size of the pull-out knob.

I hope you are well and thanks for getting in touch.
The black and white Nexus 5 have a slightly different curvature, and as our cases are designed to fit very snugly to the device itself, this means that a black Nexus 5 will not fit into a case designed for a white Nexus 5. In addition, the black Nexus 5 has a soft-touch back as opposed to the harder plastic back of the white Nexus 5, which adds friction when it is being inserted and removed from the case, and we have also had to take this into consideration when designing a case for the black Nexus 5.
At the moment we are completely sold out of all colour combinations for the black Nexus 5 except for the slate/pink option, however we do have new cases in production, which should be available by the middle of March. I'm afraid I don't have a definite release date at the moment, however please feel free to get back in touch in a week or so, as we should be able to give you an update then!

Thanks very much for sharing this! Now that makes more sense. I think I'd rather wait for 2 or 3 weeks. I'll buy a cheap neoprene pouch case in the meanwhile.

I'm very interested in this leather pouch. But is this compatible with a tempered glass screen protector (0,30mm) AND with the toastMade (real wood) skin
I hope the pouch is not too tight for this? Or will it stretch over time? And what must I choose? Black or white/red version of the pouch, because Mediadevil said there is difference in size and material they use, but this is wood material so....???

Does this pouch cause the soft touch back to wear out from constant friction from inserting and removing the phone from the pouch? Especially near the bottom where the pull tab makes contact.
I had a similar type pouch for the Galaxy Nexus, and that worked fine for the plastic material on the phone. But seeing the Nexus 5 has a soft touch back I can see the friction causing wear. My Lenovo ThinkPad had a similar annoying issue as I found the rubberish soft finish was coming off from the sleeve I had it in.

Bump! Still would love to hear feedback from owners of this case. Just got my Nexus 5 and I'm looking for a nice pouch!

Well I have had mine for almost 3 weeks after reading this thread. I LOVE it. I got the gray/blue color and it looks great with my white n5. I use it hard and it has shown next to no wear in the 3 weeks I've had it. It is still as tight as the day I got it and wouldn't be able to be pulled out on it's own without the pull strap. Time will tell. Definitely no extra room for a TPU or similar case.
Side note: As pictured below, you can see one of the stitches wasn't tied off correctly and came undone just two days after using it. I think I curbed the unraveling by melting the end of the thread with a lighter. It hasn't moved since. I emailed Mediadevil through Amazon.com (where I made the purchase) and they had a new one out to me next day. Excellent customer service.
5 out of 5 stars would recommend to anyone.
