Hello I am wanting to change the very first screen that appears at boot. Is this called the splash screen or the boot screen. Its the one that is a white background and says htc evo.

i noticed that whenever i unlocked the screen to one of the home screens there is a very noticeable flicker, like an entire page refresh or something. there's no flickering when i unlock to an app or settings menu etc., only to one of the 7 home screens. is anyone else with this otherwise awesome rom having/seeing this issue?
My batterie is at 20% and my screen keeps flickering??

HTC are aware of the issue.
Yes, my screen flickers when the battery is below 5%, the flickering is sudden screen blank like you lock the phone and unlock with the power button and not the grey background flickering..
I have a rooted galaxy nexus. Earlier today I downloaded an app to change the boot animations. Everything was working fine. I started to explore other boot animations. I was letting the program (from the market) download and install them. I installed one and went to preview and the screen turned black and stayed black. I pulled the battery out the back and restarted the phone. The splash screen was black and the home screen was black also.
I'm not sure what has happened. I'm not in debugger mode. I tried getting clever and taking screen shots of the phone to see where I should touch the screen but the screen shots came out black!
How do i get rid of this black screen symptom? Thanks
I flashed the google play edition rom to my AT&T m8 and noticed on boot up the whole screen wasn't being used. There were artifacts on the bottom eight of an inch on the screen. This wasn't a big deal until I went back to stock and now it seems android can't decide on my screen size. The screen will continually jump screen sizes where the notification bar will wrap vertically to the bottom of the screen. I've tried wiping everything but the problem persists, it even jumps on the bootup att screen and the htc one logo. Any help would be great!

Like i said on the topic thread i have an issue with the screen is on.
So when i'm on my HTC M8 on and i pass my hand through the top of the screen (don't have to touch the screen) on the camera and the other little black thing my screen locks instantly !
I'm on the last update of android and use the dot view case dont' know if that matters.
